When I look back on my childhood, I’m always reminded of all the fun memories I had with my parents and my siblings. Favorite toys and events always fill my thoughts and I’m always genuinely excited to share these fun things with my children now that I’m a parent myself. In the age of technology and electronics, no matter how cool a gadget can be, there are just certain toys and play things from my childhood that are still timeless. A toy that has really stood the test of time and something I still love as an adult is PLAY-DOH brand. The smell is one you never forget if you have smelled & played with PLAY-DOH brand before. My family and I were so happy and excited to celebrate PLAY-DOH brand’s 60th birthday with the release of their new PLAY-DOH Town collection that we’re sharing with you today.
While opening up the boxes and packaging with my sons, I immediately was taken back to my childhood. The feel and texture of PLAY-DOH compound and the scent wafting through our living room brought back so many awesome memories and I am so happy to be able to share these with my sons. Exciting, customizable figures and Playsets let my chldren create their own PLAY-DOH Towns and tell their Towns’ unique stories. With fun play sets, the boys enjoyed playing pretend as firemen at the Firehouse, grooming the pets at the Pet Store and creating their own PLAY-DOH ice cream cones.
My boys have always loved toys and products that they can use to express themselves, build and create together. I love that PLAY-DOH Town Playsets make great tools for sensory. The twins are at an age where sensory tools and toys help with their speech to build creativity and encourage expression without always needing the use of words. This helps their speech greatly in that they do not get overwhelmed too easily and can have fun building and having play time. PLAY-DOH compound is fun to play with, helps with fine motor skills and perfect for the twins who sometimes need to calm down and relax – offering them calm play-time.

I absolutely love watching my sons engage with one another, while sharing pieces and parts to create their own little town and village. My eldest son loved watching his brothers have fun so he just had to get involved and join in the creative process. Together, my three sons had a blast, using their imagination to enjoy their summer and have some fun with one another. I also loved creating with them and I couldn’t help but smile and think happy thoughts.

The pieces for each Playset were easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. The boys were able to get right to playing without waiting for me to assemble everything. The sets each came with wonderful and bright PLAY-DOH in fun colors that allowed the boys to use their imagination and creativity to make all kinds of fun play things. They especially enjoyed making a soft-serve ice cream with the ice cream truck and popsicles with the provided attachments for each set.
The PLAY-DOH Town segment inspires creativity and imagination! This looks so fun! I had the basic play dough factory when I was a kid and spent hours using it!
It’s crazy how far they’ve come with Play doh! I remember babysitting my little brother and teaching him how to make things with Play Doh; we used to spend hours making whatever he wanted!
FUN! I want to make an ice cream cone out of play dough!! Oh, the memories…
Oh my, they didn’t have all the cool contraptions they have now for play doh! We ended up using things around the house and then getting in trouble for getting play doh on it LOL. The scent of play doh is so nostalgic (an even the taste! haha).

I used to adore Play-Doh, especially the smell and the squishy feel. We had Play-Doh contests in school, though nothing I made ever won.

playdoh is my least favorite thing…I find it everywhere for weeks.
