Who is EmilyNoel83?

When I started doing YouTube videos 10+ years ago, I remember being one of the first 200 subscribers to EmilyNoel83.  She was a news reporter named Emily Noel who had a bubbly personality.  Emily filmed her videos in a small apartment with that “newscaster” flair and “girl next door” attitude, which I love.  She offers honest and truthful reviews that are not sponsored.  Her easy to follow makeup tutorials are for all levels of skill.  Cupcake (that’s her cat) would steal the show and make appearances.  Now, several years later, I’ve watched Emily have two beautiful little girls and build a channel that I value and respect.

Emily’s love for life, positivity and informative style is endearing and keeps her audience coming back for more.

Revolution Makeup, USA

Now, 10 years later, she’s collaborating with Makeup Revolution.  I’m so excited to share this collab with all of you.

The Emily Edit – The Needs Palette

The Needs Emily Edit was designed to be a “greatest hits” of the brand. A full-face style palette that really offers a “multi-tasking” use for each shade.   This beautiful palette is full of positivity, featuring Emily’s personal shade names that have a special color identity.  Gorgeously cased in pale pink packaging with Emily’s signature in rose gold.

Shades included in The Needs:

  • Courage – a medium brown, bronzer and contour shade with a matte finish
  • Joy – peachy pink blush with a matte finish
  • Gratitude – a creamy highlight with a satin finish
  • Kindness – cream translucent powder with a matte finish (Emily likes to use it as an under-eye powder)
  • Honesty – blush peach, satin finish
  • Passion – dark brown, with a red shimmer
  • Peace – peachy nude, matte finish
  • Faith – warm brown, matte finish
  • Hope – fudge brown, matte finish

I’m over the moon in love with these shades and the palette in a whole.  The Needs offers you the perfect travel palette because it has everything you need to create a look.  Every powder in this palette is silky and creamy.  Whether creating a smokey or neutral eye look, this palette has you covered.  The perfect “everyday” palette.

Did I mention how large the mirror is?  A large mirror (the size of the palette) makes this ideal for any makeup lover.  The palette casing is sturdy and beautiful, offering it a lux look with great names.  Also, I love opening this palette and looking at the shade names, it’s so inspiring.

The Emily Edit – The Wants Palette

Emily Edit The Wants palette has easily become one of my favorites in my eyeshadow collection.  This gorgeous piece features 24 colors in a combination of matte, satin and shimmer shades.  What I love the most about this palette is the universal color range and how it works well with all skin tones.  But, I am absolutely crushing on the color selection as well.

When you buy this palette, you may notice that each color is laid out in little quads that you can use together to create a cohesive look.  However, the colors all work well together so there are a plethora of combinations you can use to create a gorgeous look.

I want the colors to be buildable, so you can reach that level of intensity that you want. You can create countless looks and endless creativity.”

My Final Thoughts

It is not often that I run out and buy a makeup palette that is a collaboration with any particular YouTuber.  But, as soon as I found out about this one, I knew I had to have it.  RevolutionxEmily The Needs and The Wants Palettes are beautiful and created so well.  I’ve mentioned the packaging previously, but I must reiterate that I really love how sturdy these palettes are.  Let’s talk about the price point too.  The Needs palette is just $15 and The Wants Palette is $20.  It’s not only affordable for anyone to purchase, but it is also great quality for the price point.

Way to Go Emily!

Though haven’t been wearing much makeup lately, the moment that I picked these up, I’ve been using them daily.  Both palettes have become favorites and I know I’ll be getting a ton of use out of them.  Mirrored hardshell case and beautiful shades in creamy shadows, yes… this is a must-have for anyone of any age.

EmilyNoel83 is one of my favorite YouTubers (she’s even listed on my YouTube Favorites List), so I am so excited and proud of her and her accomplishments.  These palettes are definitely Homeruns in my book and I’m loving them!

If you’ve been following me on social media the last couple of months, then you know that I’ve been traveling between islands quite frequently for medical reasons.  I must say, that packing up everything you need for a week into one carry-on bag is one of the most difficult things to do, especially if you’re a beauty and makeup lover.  But, thanks to the MYO Cosmetic Case, I was able to take my necessities with me without a hassle.  I’m all about the life of products that really make life a breeze so today I’m gonna introduce you to the MYO Cosmetic Case and hopefully it can help you out too.

MYO Cosmetic Cases give you the opportunity to travel with your most important cosmetics without the hassle of packing them in separate containers.  Everything you need is right where you need it.  They are similar to your standard magnetic makeup palette but offer so much more.  There’s no need for bulky liquid and cream containers in separate packaging or a brush roll to carry your necessary brushes to create your look.  You can fit just about anything into these palettes, thanks to its awesome design and addition of liquid/cream containers.

Known as the “Cosmetic Clutch” the MYO Cases were the Winner of the 2017 Cosmoproof North America Trendsetter Award.  The cases are designed to support modern women and allow them to “go everywhere and experience everything”.

What makes the MYO Cosmetic Clutch so fun and cool for me is that you can fit everything in there.  Pencils (eyeliner, lip liner, brows, etc.) and your favorite eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, and powder products that you can depot.  But the MYO Beauty Pods really take it to a whole new level.  Each MYO Cosmetic Clutch comes with 3 MYO Beauty Pods that are designed so that you can securely carry your lotions, creams, serums and loose powders with you on the go.  This was extremely helpful for me when I needed to go through TSA since it allowed me the right amount of product without going over travel regulations.

You could fill your entire palette with depotted eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers or highlighters or decide to mix it up a bit with a variety of different products, not just powder products like a traditional magnetic palette.  And, if you love a little color or want your palette to match your style, you can choose between other colors besides black:  fuchsia, turquoise, and silver.

A MYO Cosmetic Clutch Kit comes complete with the following:

  • 3 MYO Beauty Pods (2×1.4g & 1×1.7g)
  • 2 MYO Style Sticks (to help organize and separate certain products as well as keep things like pencils and brushes in place)
  • 1 Double Ended Eye Shadow / Brow Brush (Cruelty-free/Pro Quality $12 USD Value)
  • 1 MYO Cosmetic Circlet – Choice of Color – Black, Silver, Fuchsia, or Turquoise.

Retail:  $45.00

Oh my gosh, I hope I’m not too late in posting this or that Lorac decides that they will do another release for more palettes before the year is up.  But, today I wanted to share with you my thoughts, swatches and so much more on the Lorac Mega Pro 3 Palette.  This Limited Edition release had me drooling because I’m a huge fan of Lorac Pro Palettes and the quality of the shadows.  I own Lorac Mega Pro 1 and 2 so skipping out on this one was not the choice I was allowing myself to make.  Besides, I had been really good with expenditures all year this 2016, so I felt I deserved to pick this baby up and enjoy.  I also didn’t get my hands on Lorac Pro 3 palette so I figured that I would get Mega Pro 3 and be one happy camper.  For the third year in a row, I set my alarm to pick this baby up as soon as it was released, so I’ve actually had this palette in my possession now for just about 3 weeks and I’m finally ready to share my thoughts with all of you.

Let’s take a look at this beauty shall we?  First of all, the packaging is gorgeous and sports that metallic lettering on the front of the palette itself.  I love that Rose Gold and it absolutely has stolen my heart.  The palette itself is white… hmmmm… yes, I did say it – WHITE!  It’s not ideal considering my other palettes are dark blue and red, and white can be a challenge to clean, but nonetheless, I digress… it’s not preferred, but I’ll try to make it work. haha!

Like the other Mega Pro palettes, the Mega Pro 3 sports that cardboard packaging, thin and compact considering the palette itself is HUGE.  I like that Carol & Lorac kept with the themes of the others and created a signature look to keep within the family.  The lid seals magnetically (fairly well if I might add) and all of the shades within the palette are laid out the same as the others, with their names listed below each color (one of my favorite things about these palettes).

This palette sports 32 shades with the top two rows being the matte shadows (16 total) and the bottom two rows being the metallic and shimmery shades (16 total).  This palette is quite different from some of the others as there are only two repeat shades in this palette and the others are all new and exclusive to the Mega Pro 3.

When it comes to designing the functionality of a palette, I think Lorac really has it going for them.  I love that each palettes has the shades laid out from light to dark – left to right.  This makes it easy to create a look and a great way to lay the colors on your eyes – your highlights being on the left, transition and crease shades towards the middle and crease and outer v towards the ends.  You can also pick and choose any color you want to place on the lid.  It’s definitely a great selection and the color range is something I love.

There are a lot of different neutral tones in this palette with a few pops of color.  I’m definitely in love with each shade because these are the types of shades I tend to gravitate to often.  The palette mainly consists of warm tones, but there are some cool tones within the palette which come together to make this a favorite of mine.

Let’s take a look at each shade in the palette, shall we?

I’ve been getting a lot of use out of the bronze and brown shades in different variations of color.  Just like the other Lorac Pro palettes I own (currently in my possession I have Lorac Pro 1 and 2 and Mega Pro 1, 2 and now 3), the Lorac Mega Pro 3 offers you gorgeous and butter shades.  The mattes are very smooth and silky in texture and blend onto the lid like a dream.  I love the matte shades especially because while they are so soft and satin like, they are just enough color for me to use as a transition or blending shade, but still offer a punch of color when they need to be built up.  The shimmer and metallic shades are just as divine as others I have used from Lorac.  They are so buttery and soft, but they can kick up some dust, so be sure to tap off any excess on your brush and apply to the eyes with a patting motion instead of sweeping motion.

Jet Black is quite a bold shade, with a powdery kick up and really needs to be packed on to eliminate fall out, but it’s a gorgeous shade for an eye liner or in place of your traditional liner as well.  But, taking the time to familiarize yourself with the palette and how it works would be best, as I find that most of Lorac shadows offer a bit of fall out, but it’s worth it in the end for me, I love them.

I don’t have an Ulta near me, so I had to order this charm online the day it was released.  I’m glad I made the purchase though, I’m seriously in love with this palette.  I know there are a lot of these types of palettes, neutrals I mean, on the market today – so finding one that offers your versatility and ease of use can be a challenge.  I’m sure there are similar shades to these in palettes I already owned, but remember… I said I needed to complete my collection and now I have the Trifecta.

I’m not sure if this palette is still available for sale in various Ulta stores, but I know it’s been sold out online through Ulta’s website for a minute now.  If you love neutral shades and are looking for a palette that offers it all, I definitely suggest snatching this up if you come across it in your local Ulta store.  If you can’t get your hands on this beauty, I’m so sorry – but I know I definitely had to share it with you – it’s gorgeous.

  • Cost of Lorac Mega Pro 3 – $59.00
  • Availability – Ulta Stores (if sold out), this is a Limited Edition item.

Have you had the opportunity to get your hands on the Lorac Mega Pro 3?  If so, what are your thoughts, if not – are you crushing on this palette?
