I talk about hair a lot here on the blog and share different products from different brands several times a month. As much as I love and gravitate towards highend brands to care for my long tresses, I have really found love in HASK hair care products because they are not only awesome for the hair, but extremely affordable. With hair as long as mine, I can go through so much product consistently and affordable products like those from HASK make caring for my hair easy to do. Today I share with you the HASK Bamboo Oil Collection. This collection of products is made specifically for strengthening and nourishing your hair and since Hawaii is in full blown summer, I definitely need it. The summer months tend to do a lot of damage on my hair so a product line like this one helps to keep my hair looking perfect year long.
“Sure, Life isn’t perfect but my hair is!” – HASK
The HASK Bamboo Oil Collection consists of four products. Each product is formulated to work together, like a team to help strengthen, nourish and condition for healthy hair. The line features a Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil – all of which are formulated with ProDefense Complex that penetrates your hair to strengthen, reinforce and protect. This is especially important for me since summer does so much damage to my hair that I really need the extra care and protection. Formulated with Bamboo oil which is known as one of Asia’s natural treasures, it is proven to strengthen your hair and infuse essential nutrients that help to revive weakened and lifeless locks. With the added benefit of biotin and collagen, this silicon-rich bamboo oil helps to give hair a strong base and foundation to improve flexibility and strength as well as prevent split ends.
Let’s first discuss each product first and then I’ll chit chat about my thoughts on the entire line.
HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Shampoo ($5.99 – 12.0 FL.OZ. /355 mL) is a shampoo formulated with ProDefense Complex, a protein-based complex that penetrates hair to build and reinforce strength and protect the hair. This product is perfect for fragile or thin hair like mine because it helps to protect from damage and breakage to provide a strong foundation for your hair. This shampoo applies nicely to my hair and while it is sulfate free, I feel like it works through my hair like a lather without stripping moisture or leaving my hair dry. It also doesn’t dry my scalp which is a HUGE bonus since so many other shampoos can do so.
HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Conditioner ($5.99 – 12.0 FL.OZ. /355 mL) works hand in hand with the strengthening shampoo. Also formulated with the ProDefense Complex to help protect fragile hair from damage and breakage, this conditioner not only helps to strengthen and reinforce the hair, but it leaves my hair feeling soft and easy to manage. I especially enjoy that I can finger comb through my hair easily. The texture of this conditioner is similar to others that I’ve tried from HASK in that it has enough slip to detangle my hair but still thick enough to coat my long hair without needing to drench my hair in the whole bottle.
HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Deep Conditioner ($2.99 – 1.75 fl.oz. / 50g) Also formulated with the ProDefense Complex, this deep conditioner helps to strengthen, moisturize and reinforce fragile hair. With silicone rich bamboo to help provide a strong foundation for hair, this deep condition helps to improve flexibility and leaves hair resilient and less prone to split ends and breakage. I apply a good amount of deep conditioner to my hair after washing with shampoo. One packet of this stuff will be split in half for two different treatments unless I feel I need more, one packet will be used on my entire hair. I massage into my hair focusing on damaged areas and leave on for about 10 minutes. I usually will put this on while I shave. I rinse the product from my hair well and then style as I normally would when I’m done in the shower. I like to use this one to two times a week. My hair feels so soft and manageable after one use and I notice that I definitely get less breakage which is a HUGE deal for me.
HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Strengthening Shine Hair Oil ($2.99 – 5/8 fl.oz. / 18mL) This hair oil helps to repair broken, limp and lifeless hair. It protects your hair from damage and breakage and instantly absorbs into the hair shaft to provide a strong foundation for hair and leaves no greasy residue. With bamboo oil, biotin and collagen to help reinforce and prevent split ends, leaving your hair strong and healthier looking. I use this on my hair when my hair is damp to help seal in moisture and on my dry hair to help revive my hair and help with frizz for a smooth finish. Just a coin-sized amount throughout my hair works well and I try to avoid the root area as much as possible to keep from weighing my hair down. However – if it does get near my roots, this is not a heavy oil and I find it leaves my hair shiny, smooth, silky and manageable.
I have tried several different collections from HASK and I’m always impressed with each one. The Bamboo Oil line really has made a difference in how my hair has been acting this summer, leaving it smooth and shiny but my hair seems somewhat stronger and I have less breakage. As I mentioned previously, summer takes the biggest beating on my hair and this collection of hair products has definitely helped to strengthen my hair so that it can take the stress from the warm months.

With great products that are affordable, you can’t beat the quality of what HASK offers. It’s become a favorite brand of mine for hair products over the years and I’m loving each product I’ve tried. Have you tried anything from HASK before? If so – what have you tried and what are your favorites? Do you think that your hair could benefit from using this particular collection?
