You have a lot on your mind as a homeowner. There is always something that needs your time and attention.

You may be busy and have put off updating your home. Now is the perfect opportunity to roll up your sleeves and get to work. This will help you create a better home in which you will enjoy living. You can review some home improvement projects to consider and tackle this year.

Create A Welcoming & Cozy Living Room

One room you likely use a lot as a homeowner is your living room. It’s the perfect place to retreat to after a long day of work. It’s also a space you can use when guests are over and you want to visit. There may be times when you want to turn on and use your fireplace, especially in the wintertime. In this case, you should look into scheduling a professional chimney sweep so you know it’s safe and ready to use. Place out some plants and area rugs and hang some colorful pictures on the walls. You should also invest in comfortable furniture pieces that are aesthetically pleasing.

Upgrade the Kitchen

Another important room in your home is the kitchen space. You likely spend a lot of hours in it preparing meals or visiting with family members and guests. You want it to be functional and beautiful so it’s wise to make upgrades to it. Replace old appliances with more energy-efficient options and install a large island in the center of the room. If your cabinets are in good shape but could use a refresh , you may want to consider painting them a new color. You can also improve your kitchen space by installing better lighting options and keeping it well-organized.

Improve the Bedroom Space

You must get plenty of good sleep each night. This way you will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to seize the day. Therefore, you may want to work on improving the bedroom space. Focus on creating a relaxing bedroom retreat that helps put you at ease. Put some fresh paint on the walls and keep the space clean and clutter-free. Invest in a comfortable mattress and bedding and hang up some curtains on the windows so it’s dark enough for sleeping.

Boost the Curb Appeal

Another home improvement project to consider and tackle this year is to boost the curb appeal. Focus on the exterior of your home and make sure it’s well-maintained and clean. You can also put some flower boxes in your windows and decorate the front porch. Paint your door a color that pops and replace an old mailbox. If you want to add value to your property then consider replacing old garage doors or putting in a new driveway. Make sure that you keep up with your landscaping and trim back overgrown trees and bushes.

Conclusion

You now have some good ideas as to what you can do to your property to update and improve it. Some projects you can tackle yourself and others you may want to hire professional help to complete. Be sure to sit back and enjoy your new and enhanced home once the hard work is done.

Before you move, there are certain issues that you will need to sort out. There are so many things that people are looking at when they are purchasing a new house, and it’s important that you have taken care of all of them prior to the viewing. If you’re not sure about where to start, then it’s a good thing that you’ve come across this article as that’s what we’re going to be discussing. Down below, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the issues that you need to take care of before you move, so keep reading if you would like to find out more.

Repairs

The first thing that you’re going to need to take care of is the repairs. Go through your home and make any repairs that are apparently obvious, as everyone is going to see these when they come to view your home. It’s either going to put buyers off if there are issues all over the place, or they will try and negotiate a lower asking price, neither of which you really want.

Some repairs you are going to be able to do yourself, and there are others that you’re going to have to hire some help for. Either way, they need to get sorted out as soon as possible so that you can move forward with selling your home.

Pests

Pests can be an absolute nightmare and something that nobody wants in their home. Unfortunately, if they are already there then the only thing that you can do now is deal with them. You need to get in touch with a pest control agency as soon as possible and get them to come and sort out the problem. Depending on the extent of the issue, you might even have to leave your home while the treatment is taking place.

You should never ignore signs of pests in your home because this will only lead to the problem worsening.

Cleanliness

Last but not least, you want to pay particular attention to the cleanliness of your home. Nobody is going to want to purchase a house that is filthy and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months or even years. If you are not a massive fan of cleaning, then you can hire a cleaning service to come and take care of this for you. If you have someone in once or twice per week, this is probably going to be good enough to take care of the issue.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you need to take care of before you move. It’s important that you are doing everything in your power to leave the home in the best possible condition as the next person is paying a lot of money to move in here. As well as this, you’re never going to be able to sell your house if these issues are prevalent! We wish you the very best of luck and hope that you get this all sorted asap.

With a family of asthmatics, it’s important to have quality air in our home.  Airfree Onix 3000 Air Purifier has been our saving grace the last several months.  Today I’m finally sharing my thoughts with all of you on this product.

Interested in watching my review on YouTube?  Click here or watch the embedded video below.

Airfree Purifiers to the rescue

Hawaii has been experiencing a series of earthquakes and volcano eruptions over the last several months.  Many homes on the island of Hawai’i (otherwise known as the Big Island or Hawai’i Island) have been destroyed due to the volcano.  Air quality issues throughout the island haven’t been ideal and the voggy conditions make for horrible breathing.  While being outside sometimes can make breathing difficult, it doesn’t have to be when you are indoors.  The Airfree Air Purifier systems sterilize your air without the use of a filter.  These units allow air to flow in and out while killing airborne allergens.  Things like pollen, dust mites, mold and contaminated air are killed leaving fresh air behind.

How do Airfree Purifiers work?

By using heat to destroy airborne allergens and contaminated air, Airfree draws microbiological antigens and kills them.  Airfree has won many awards for its efficiency.  It is a patented technology that requires absolutely no maintenance.  We have the Airfree Onix 3000 and it is a purifier recommended for rooms up to 650 square feet.  The Thermodynamic TSS Technology destroys all the yucky stuff in our air like:  mold, dust mites, bacteria, viruses, pollens, pet dander, tobacco and other organic allergens.  Airfree reduces indoor harmful ozone levels and is perfect for mold-contaminated areas as well as asthma and allergy sufferers.  As I mentioned previously, my whole family suffers from asthma and our Airfree Purifier has made living with asthma so much easier.

So what is the Airfree Onix 3000

Airfree’s exclusive technology is completely silent and we love that there is no expensive filters or maintenance required for the unit.  It’s small and portable and makes it’s easy for us to use in our house, while still keeping it out of the way.  The unit releases neither ozone nor ions and is has low energy consumption.  We plug it in and leave it on for as long as we need it.  Our current unit has been plugged in and running for several months without issue.  We also love that it offers environmentally friendly technology and is so user-friendly.  Simply plug it in and let it do its job.

How does the Airfree Purifier get rid of all the yuck in the air?

Airfree’s exclusive technology works by eliminating microorganisms and allergens, destroying them in a fraction of a second.  Depending on the model you have, between 14,000 and 20,000 liters of air pass through the Airfree device every hour.  (Can you even imagine how much air that is?  It’s a lot!!) The Airfree can easily treat the air in a room in a very short amount of time.  The process works similarly to sterilizing water by boiling it.  Basically, when water is boiled, microorganisms within the water are eliminated.  In the same way, Airfree continually draws in air from the room, heating it to over 400°F and instantly sterilizes it.  The purified air is then cooled inside the device before it is released back into the room.   The entire process is so silent that you don’t even know that it’s happening.  The only thing I do notice is that our unit is warm to the touch, sometimes, it even feels hot, but never burns the skin.

What are my thoughts on Airfree?

After using the Airfree Onix 3000 in our home now since June, I have found such a huge difference in our air quality.  There is less coughing in the middle of the night and our asthma has not been as bad in the last few months.  Our Airfree Purifier is so easy to use, just plug in and let it go.  These purifiers come with a hefty investment, but there is literally no maintenance or changing of filters.  If you ask me, in just a few short months, the unit pays for itself.  I don’t know what we would do without our Airfree.  It has easily become one of our favorite products we’ve tested over the years.  So much so, that we purchased a unit for a family member who suffers from asthma too and she loves it.  I also love that the air in my home is so clean and cleaner air makes for less Eczema flare ups.  It’s been a great last few months using this product.   The Airfree also helps to eliminate bacteria and viruses in our home.  Unlike traditional air filters on the market, Airfree is efficient enough to work with the smallest microorganisms.

Have you heard of the Airfree Air Purifier systems?  There are a few different ones to choose from.  They come in different price points as well.  You can get all the details on these units by visiting the Airfree website.

Thank you, Airfree and my PR company for giving my family the opportunity to test out a unit.  I apologize that this post and video are so delayed in being released.

We are literally a couple of days away from the new year and ringing in 2017, so I thought this would be the perfect time to go ahead and share my thoughts on the 2017 KITLife Planner with all of you.  I’m a huge lover of KITLife Planners, this particular planner being my fourth that I own.  Each year I have found a new way to use the planner and I’m so overjoyed with the changes that KITLife has made to the planner that I’m excited to share it with all of you.  The KITLife planner is a daily planner layout that allows you to literally grab life by the hands and make it wonderful.  The KITLife planner is more than just a planner, but a community – encouraging women to be productive, grateful, healthy, giving and live a life full of intention.  This Planner has made such a difference in how I do things daily and yearly and I’m going to share it with all of you.

The KITLife Planner retails for $58.00.  I know, I know… many have told me in years past that that is such a hefty cost for something that you may throw out at the end of each year.  But here’s what I have to say about it… “Life is an Investment and to make it fruitful, we need to invest in the proper tools to help it grow.” (Yes, I wrote that… lol)  A Planner is just that, a tool to help keep you organized.  The KITLife Planner is a daily planner that consists of a monthly and daily layout.  I find that a daily layout is my favorite for the lister in me, I love writing out my daily to-do’s and track my progress as I complete each task.

There are three different types of planner covers available for 2017 – The Classic Edition (which is what I am sharing with you), the Crown Edition ($72.00 – the Gorgeous White with Gold Foil cover) and The Festival Edition ($65.00 a fun cover with pink, blue and purple triangles).  Each Planner also offers you the opportunity to add in additional pages to customize your planner (at an additional cost).  The pages include:  Note Add-In, Graph Add-In, Budget Add-In, Direct Sales Add-In, Direct Sales Team Add-In and Teach Add-In.  These add-ins must be ordered at the time you order your planner.  Each plan is estimated to ship in 5-7 business days after placing your order.

So, let’s get into all the fun details.  The 2017 KITLife Planner has a new hardcover which feels much like suede.  The Team at KITLife call it the Velvet Technique in printing the cover.  It has a really cool and smooth texture that make this planner feel so luxe.  I absolutely love it and I LOVE that the planner cover is now a hardcover instead of their laminated cover like they have had in previous years.  This new hardcover makes the planner much more durable and protects the pages within.  The KITLife Planner also comes with a movable dashboard as it did last year.  I really enjoyed this option last year, but sadly, my dashboard didn’t last me past the 2 month mark.  I’m pretty brutal.  But, KITLife made some revisions and now has a very sturdy design that’s perfect for the 2017 planner.  I love that it is still easy to move and flexible without being too flimsy.  It’s a great addition and I love it.

The planner is smaller in size in comparison to past years.  Honestly, I LOVE this because it was a bit cumbersome to take my KIT with me on the go.  While I still do not take it with me usually, I love that I have that option should I decide to do so.  While it is a bit smaller in size – you still get the same amount of writing space as you did in previous years.  The monthly calendar spread also offers the same amount of space for writing which is great.

The Daily pages offer a variety of different options for daily planning.  A Checklist that also has a place for daily tracker stickers (available through KITLife), The Big 3 for Top To-Do’s each day, Time Slots from 6am to 8pm for appointments and time management listing, Wellness Tracker (to help keep track of water intake, weight and exercise and Gratitude to list what you are thankful for each day or special events that occurred.  Each weekly page also includes a Quote by various people (one of my favorite parts of this planner) and you still get a Doodle Break that is listed on the months that have a spare page before the monthly layout.  These doodle breaks are what I use to jot down any notes for the month that I need to reference like conversations on the phone, etc.

The Daily Pages have been revised in comparison to previous years which I LOVE.  I really needed an area to list my appointments and I love that there is an option for that now.  Below is a photo of last year’s layout for the daily section.  As you can see, the Fit & Fab Tip is no longer on the page, however, I still have the same amount of writing page, but I have it organized in sections to really list out what I need for the day.  I LOVE IT!

Saturdays and Sundays are still sharing one page with the “Peek at the Week” for the week following which I enjoy.  I really liked that option on my previous KITLife Planners, so I do like that it was continued.  But, I love the layout for this year’s 2017 planner much more.  I think it’s just streamlined overall and makes it so much more appealing to my eyes to keep organized.  The Peek at the Week is my place where I tend to plan out my blog posts for the following week, so I like that it’s still included.

KIT = Keeping It All Together

KITLife Planner, planner, 2017 planner, daily planner, planner addict, planner review, 2017 planner review, keeping it together planner, planner peace, planning,

The KITLife Planner has a great Welcome Page for each month that talks about Wellness, Food and Extra Tidbits to keep you motivated and you still get your Quarter Check-ins every 3 months as you have in previous planners.  I love the simplicity in this planner in that it takes you to the last day of the month without adding extra bulk, unless you purchased any of the add-ins I mentioned previously.  At the end of the planner you get a paper pocket on the back cover (I’ll be using this for receipts for donations) as well as a zip pouch which I plan to use to hold my post-its and stickers.

The KITLife offers gorgeous colors through out and is perfect for someone who loves a decoration or color but doesn’t really do the decorating themselves.  The planner through out offers a theme that really is visual and perfect for inspiring you to keep on top of your tasks.  I love that this is overall a Functional Planner for me.  Each year I use several planners and the KITLife is what I consider to be my “Hub-all” planner, where I plan my days out while keeping myself on task.  I list everything in this planner from my daily life (quick excerpts) and my to-do list as well as my blog and youtube channel tracking.

All of the KITLife Planners are designed, printed, assembled and packaged in the United States.  The 2017 Planner is 8.5″ wide by 8.75″ tall and is less than an 1″ thick.  Each planner is bound with a metal coil which is approximately 2″ in diameter.  The Planner pages are printed on 70# paper, which is sturdy and has held up to me using highlighters, felt tip pens and even some of my markers.  And, this is a traditional yearly planner that begins on January 1st and ends on December 31st.

Walk through the product layout and get an overview in my video here:

The KITLife Planner is one of my favorites because it is something I can use for my entire life’s organization.  Like I’ve mentioned before, I use several planners at any given moment, but my KITLife Planner is my hub for EVERYTHING – my personal and family schedule & appointments, to-do’s, blog and YouTube and so much more.  Since it is not quite 2017 yet, I’ll come back in a few months and share how I have been utilizing this planner so you can get an idea on what might work for you.

So – what about you?  Are you a planner addict like me?  Do you think this planner would work for you in planning and keeping you organized?
