One type of serum I can’t get enough of is Hyaluronic Acid and it’s something I include in my daily skin care regimen without skipping a beat.  Since I naturally have dry skin and I’m Eczema prone, this particular serum helps to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized so that I have less flare ups.  I have tried many many serums including this ingredient in the past and I’m constantly trying new ones.  Recently, I added the CSCS Advanced Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C to my regimen.  I’ve been using it the last month in combination with other products I currently use and I wanted to share my thoughts with you on this product.

CSCS Advanced Face Serum – Hyaluronic Serum + Vitamin C (1 fl.oz.) retails for $24.99 and comes in a very bold blue bottle which makes it easy to find among my other skin care products.  The Vitamin C Serum is made with 100% natural ingredients – formulated with natural, plant based ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and polypeptide Vitamin C.  Like most serums with similar ingredients, it helps to restore the skin with antioxidants, UV protection and moisturizing nutrients that penetrate deep into the skin strengthen and defend the skin against damage from free radicals and unfavorable environmental conditions.  This product is a skin safe anti-wrinkle moisturizer that is free of chemicals like parabens, phthalates, sulfates and alcohol and it is also free of artificial scents, colorants and preservatives.  This serum is formulated and produced in the USA in small quantities using renewable resources and is manufactured in an eco-friendly, cruelty-free environment.  No animal ingredients are used and this product is not tested on animals.

Now that I have broke it down for you – here are my thoughts on this product.  The actual serum is semi clear where the liquid looks a little transparent white.  It is very much like a liquid – not gel like and applies easily to the skin.  It soaks into my face and neck quickly which I absolutely love and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky once it is set and has soaked in properly.  A little goes a long way with this product due to the liquid like texture.  I never use a full dropper and can apply the product directly to my entire face, neck and decollete area in half a dropper or less.  It has a light citrus scent, but very light so I can use this at night if I feel the need though it is a part of my daytime routine.

After a month of using this product, I’m quite impressed.  It helps to keep my skin hydrated through the day without leaving my skin feeling dry or sticky.  The price point is awesome and spot on considering the amount of product you receive and I do like the packaging.  The dropper tool makes it easy to use and I love that I can move on with my skincare routine without waiting for the product to soak into my face.  I definitely suggest this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serum at a reasonable cost.  You can purchase this product here.

I have been reading and watching reviews on Tatcha products now for quite some time but never got around to trying anything from the brand until recently.  My first product to try and LOVE is the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist.  As most know, I not only suffer from Eczema but have dry skin so anything that claims to help with those issues, I am more than happy to put it to the test.  I can finally say I tried something from Tatcha and today I share with you my thoughts on this product.

A little back story on Tatcha, a skin care collection that is based on time and tested geisha beauty rituals where all products are made in Japan with the highest quality, purest ingredients and just absolute greatness for the skin.  The first time I heard about the brand, I was intrigued and definitely interested in trying out what they had to offer.  I can only hope that this product is one of many that I am adding to my skincare regimen.

The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is a face mist spray that helps to keep your skin moisturized during the summer and year round.  It’s a liquid spray on moisturizer that includes Squalane, Red Algae and Tatcha’s HADASEI-3 Complex.  This mist can be used to boost much needed hydration, resulting in dewy, luminous skin – anytime and anywhere.  Different from other mists on the market, I immediately noticed that the liquid is milky white instead of clear.  Tatcha says that this milky emulsion contains moisturizers and humectants that help to leave the skin moisturized and re-hydrated.  It does not contain high levels of alcohol and fragrance which can be found in conventional hydrating sprays (which can dry out the skin) so it helps to keep your skin looking gorgeous and luminous all day.

So now that I have given you the low down on the product details, here are my thoughts.  First, I have been in love with Tatcha’s packaging since I first laid my eyes upon them.  Come on now – purple and gold, I’m sold!  But I love the look of femininity that the packaging offers but also that Japanese flair with the wooden and bamboo look of the boxes.  Gorgeous!  The actual spray is gorgeous in gold and I love that it offers a great mist, perfect so that you are getting just the right amount of product each time you press down.  Just a little shake and spritz and you’re good to go.

The product itself is an absolute favorite of mine.  I am in love with how my skin feels after spritzing my face and how luminous it appears.  As many know – I do not use foundation, so on my bare skin or over my makeup, it gives my skin the appearance like I am glowing.   Since I have naturally dry skin, I love that I can spray the mist over my favorite moisturizer and feel refreshed and hydrated all day – keeping my skin looking and feeling soft, moisturized and fresh.  My face looks dewy but radiant and glowing and my skin feels great!

Summer Barbecue with Alpha Grillers Grill Brush

As most know who spend some time here on my blog, my family and I enjoy cooking together and creating delicious grinds to satisfy our taste cravings.  But, did you know we also love to grill and enjoy the taste of a flame cooked meal?  During the summer months my husband will cook dinner on the grill at least once a week and we love the taste of flavor of the delectables we get to feast on.  However, keeping up with your grill and keeping it clean for the next use is not that easy so we are always on the hunt for tools that make this task uneventful.  Today I share with you Alpha Grillers Grill Brush.

If you have ever had to purchase grill tools, you know that they can be a bit expensive.  The Alpha Grillers Grill Brush retails for $29.99 (currently on sale for $8) and that’s a reasonably good price considering the size of the brush and quality.  This is a heavy duty BBQ Tool.  Stiff, thick stainless steel bristles combined with a long rigid handle makes cleaning your grill easy.  No one likes to get burned and I like that the reach on this tool due to the long handle makes cleaning easy.  What is great is that this product is made for all grill types – porcelain, stainless steel, cast iron, infrared, ceramic, electric, gas, charcoal, Char Broil, Big Green Egg or Weber Genesis.  You can scrub away the grit from grilling safely without marking or dinging your grates.

The handle is 18 inches which makes it the perfect length so that you don’t get burnt, but it is not too heavy in that you lose control over the brush.  You can still retain good leverage which makes it easy to use for those like me who have weak wrists or carpal tunnel.  The brush itself is not heavy at all so cleaning my grill really is simple to do.  What I enjoy the most about this brush is that you can scrub at any angle.  Since the bristles have a spiral design, you can hold the brush at any angle and get the job done.

If I had to discuss one con to the product – I do notice that the bristles do bend, so after several uses, the bristles did not keep the form that they had originally.  It did not hinder my use of the product thereafter and I’m still able to use the brush – but I did want to make that notation.  We clean our grill prior to our next barbecue, which is convenient for myself and my husband.  We heat up the grill and clean just before throwing our goods on the grates.  If you enjoy cleaning up after grilling – this will work as well.

Overall we enjoy the grill brush and I would suggest it to anyone looking for something affordable but made of good quality.  You can check out this brush and other products from Alpha Grillers here.

REVIEW: Anaiti Instant Wrinkle Smoothing Serum

When it comes to anti-wrinkle or anti-aging serums, I’m all about that life.  If you have been on my blog for a while, you may have seen or read quite a few reviews on products that offer preventative and upkeep for such.  Today I’m talking to you about the Anaiti Instant Wrinkle Smoothing Serum.  Let’s face it, I’m all about serums and I’m always excited to try new ones.  Here are my thoughts and info on this product.

Anaiti Instant Wrinkle Smoothing Serum (30 ml./1 fl.oz.) retails for $79.99 but can be found on sale through the Amazon store front and is currently at the sale price of $45.99.  This product’s claims that it offers fast-acting advanced skin care formulated to give IMMEDIATE results as well as long term benefits with patented Matrixyl and Ronovage.  It increases skin’s moisture balance, evens out the skin tone, reduces pore size and increases skin firmness and elasticity.  With all of those things you should see a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  You can use this product as often as required to lift, firm, tighten and smooth your skin as well as moisturize.

I have had this product for a month now and have been using it on its own as well as with various skin care products I use religiously and here are my thoughts on the product itself.  The serum itself is clear and liquid like – but thicker than a liquid, but not as thick as a gel texture.  The bottle has a great pump which works well and I have been enjoying the packaging as it makes applying the product easy.  I have been applying this product at night and on some days in the morning and while it the decrease in my fine lines did not happen that second when applied, after 30 minutes, when I look at my face, I notice a difference.  My fine lines and minimal wrinkles have decreased over time the last 5 weeks or so and I have noticed that my skin does look a little brighter than before.

This product is a bit sticky after applying and even after it dries so if you are not a fan of that, this may bother you.  But, I noticed my skin feels really moisturized through the day and if I apply blush, bronzer or highlighter after the product has dried, it really sticks and stays all day.  I wouldn’t necessarily consider this product to be a makeup primer, but it definitely did contribute to my face products staying on and lasting through the day.  The product itself is quite expensive if purchased at full price and while I think it is a really nice one to have – it definitely is costly.  Would I purchase it at full price?  Hmmm… if I haven’t tried the product previously, no, since I have tested it out, hmm… I’m still on the fence.  However, at the sale/discounted price, I would definitely pick it up.

Have you tried or heard of Anaiti products?  I’m amazed that after using this the last month, I have had a few friends that actually use and enjoy the brand, so I’m excited to see what else is available.

First off, the shape of this massaging tool is definitely interesting.  It retails for under $30 and currently on sale for $16.  It’s a cool little tool that comes ready to use right out of its packaging – battery and all.  What does it do?  Using gentle, negative-ion, micro-electric pulses it gently pushes your favorite essential oils, creams and serums deeper into your skin providing a noticeable reduction in appearance of find lines, eye-bags and lines around the mouth.  This little unit has ultrasonic therapy that promotes increased circulation to reduce puffy eyes, promotes deeper, effective eye treatments and reduces dark circles.  Within 2-3 weeks you will noticeably see or feel firmer skin in the areas you have treated.

This product is light weight and portable which makes it easy to take with you during travel.  It can be used on the forehead, around the lips and brow area and under the eyes.  It is also an FDA registered device.  Another cool thing is that the company offers a 100% Money Back Guarantee.

So here is how I used it and my results from the product.  I am a serum addict so I found that it worked well with any of the serums I loved to use.  After applying my serum or cream to my under eye area, I would start to use the Ionic Eye Device.  By lightly applying (touching) the device to the skin in which I want to treat and pressing softly on the silver button along the length of the device, the device will automatically sense the contact electronically and go to work.  This unit encourages absorption of the treatment to your skin and also provides a light massage.  You will continue massaging on each section that you want to treat for 30 seconds and you can do this each night before bed when doing your beauty regimen.

The companies claim is that in 4-6 weeks, your fine lines and puffiness are visibly reduced and the area under eyes appears significantly younger.  I have definitely noticed a difference in places I apply my serums and treat.  The puffiness under my eyes have decreased enough for me to take notice after just a few short weeks.  At the price point, I think it is definitely worth a try.

There are so many devices on the market today with a wide range of price points, but while some will offer you a little bit of improvement when it comes to your skin, others may not work at all.  I have fairly good skin and so when it comes to trying out new products and devices, I tend to see results or not if something works or doesn’t.  In this case, I can definitely say this product does offer some form of improvement if even just a massage for my tired eyes and facial lines.  I think it’s worth the try especially at the price.
