As a busy mom, I’m always looking for ways to cut my cleaning time in half.  Whether it be delegating the duties at home to a “willing” helper or accomplishing each chore a little at a time to get it done… I try my best to make it happen.  Though, I’ll be honest – I always think to myself, “Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could all have our own personal Robot like they had in Bicentennial Man?”  Well, not really… because I’d probably develop a motherly bond and have difficulty letting go, just knowing me… lol.  But, I think I have a solution and my family and I have been loving it the last month.  Today, I introduce you to bObi Kaho’ohanohano, the new baby in our house.  But, bObi is not your traditional or typical baby.  Nope – she is a robotic vacuum.

When my family and I was given the opportunity to give bObi a test run, let’s just say we were quite overjoyed and completely ecstatic to receive her.  She came bundled in a sturdy box, well packaged and even included a little card that welcomed her to our family.  The directions are easier to follow than I would have ever imagined and getting her going and started was a complete breeze.  We were all excited to try her out… well, almost all of us.  Ikaika who is our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel is still currently on the fence about her and still hasn’t decided if he likes her or not.

Our family has a traditional vacuum, which I’ll be honest – I really enjoy.  It does it’s job but obviously, it can’t do it without someone behind the wheel actually doing the vacuuming.  I don’t mind running the vacuum, it’s kind of soothing – but finding the time in my hectic schedule can pose many issues.  We have a small house in general, so a standard vacuum will surely do the job without issue in very little time, but finding the time in my day is what seems to be the biggest problem.

Immediately after receiving it, my boys were so excited, they couldn’t contain their excitement.  While our living area is small, we were eager to try bObi out for ourselves.  I plugged her in the night prior to let her charge through the evening and then the next day, we were able to take her for a run.  Our biggest challenge is a small living area and the fact that things move around in our house consistently.  The boys have a table they do their homework on and it gets folded up and put away when we vacuum usually, so we wanted to be able to leave it out and have bObi work around it.  The vacuum learns a pattern of where everything is in the house, or you can easily use the remote control and guide it in the direction you want for yourself.  There is also a sensor on the vacuum so you do not have to worry about it bumping into things.  It has run me over a few times, but I noticed it’s normally when the sensor is on the opposite side of the unit.

Bobi, bobSweep, robotic vacuum, bobi robotic vacuum, bobSweep robotic vacuum, vacuum, household, cleaning, robot, easy cleaning, household cleaning, clean, vacuum cleaner, review, electronic, electronic product review,

bObi has a small sweeper attached to it with brushes that work to pick up all the little pieces or sweep them into the cleaner… it’s awesome.  I love that it gets near to the base boards in my kitchen or in the areas where dog hair gets caught and sweeps it up quickly and easily.  bObi does not get all the rubbish in certain areas all the time, but it’s still learning to make its way around our house the the boys ever-moving their things around the rooms.  While it won’t get that piece of lint or hair the first run sometimes, as it comes back around – it picks it up and leaves my house clean.  With bObi’s dirt sensors, she is determined to go back around and get it done – so no lint or dust will be left behind.

Bobi, bobSweep, robotic vacuum, bobi robotic vacuum, bobSweep robotic vacuum, vacuum, household, cleaning, robot, easy cleaning, household cleaning, clean, vacuum cleaner, review, electronic, electronic product review,

I set bObi on a timer so it will run a sweep through the house and kitchen area each day at 10am while I’m sitting at my desk working.  It’s so convenient for us that I think our traditional vacuum is starting to feel a bit left out.  I use bObi daily and run my traditional vacuum on Saturdays to get a really good, deep into the carpet clean.  bObi will reach under the beds and tables and below the cabinets because she’s so petite.  It’s nice not having to bend to get under those areas with my traditional vacuum.

bObi Classic retails for about $269.00 on Amazon ($749 USD on bobSweep website) and comes with all the attachments to get it done.  A charge overnight and you’re good to go and ready to clean the next day.  Mop, sweep, sanitize… have lots of fun and get a few moments of breathing time for yourself.

You can see bObi in action while she goes through our hang out area.  As you can see, Ikaika (our dog) is not yet a fan.  But, he’s warming up to her… especially since she keeps his area where he sleeps, nice and clean!  We are looking to replace our carpet and I can’t wait to see how bObi performs on the new one.

Oh, I forgot my favorite part… bObi mops.  My bObi unit comes with a mop extension and 2 mop cloths which can be attached to the unit to do a quick mop.  bObi comes with a UV light that kills bacteria and filters the air with her built-in HEPA filter.  She’s seriously genius!  I use this specifically for my kitchen.   This is the perfect way to “spot mop” or do a quick mop during the weekdays until I do my thorough cleaning and mopping on Saturdays.

Charging bObi is really easy.  It comes with a charging station and you can either let it run it’s course for it’s usual vacuuming and let it return to its dock or press the “juice” button on bObi or the remote control and it finds the docking station and recharges itself… simple and easy.

Bobi, bobSweep, robotic vacuum, bobi robotic vacuum, bobSweep robotic vacuum, vacuum, household, cleaning, robot, easy cleaning, household cleaning, clean, vacuum cleaner, review, electronic, electronic product review,

I think technology advances are so fun and exciting and I’m so thankful to have bObi to help me complete a few of my chores – mopping & vacuuming… check!  I have never tried a robotic vacuum before so this is an experience my family and I are enjoying and we’re very thankful for.  If you are in the market for a new vacuum, I highly suggest giving bObi or any of the other bobSweep family members a try.  After having bObi in our house for just about a month now, she’s settled in and is a great addition to our family.  Even Ikaika is starting to enjoy her (since she’s so quiet in comparison to our traditional vacuum), he has made her his friend and even rides her from time to time, lol.

Now that you’re done reading my thoughts (and my family’s) on bObi, do you think she will join your family?  We’re just a humble family with a little home that we love and I figured instead of staging or prettying up the post, you could see bObi in real life and experience what we experience – good cleaning and a little less hectic-ness and stress for mom.  Hope you enjoyed!

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

Music feeds my soul and because of this, I carry a pair of ear buds with me no matter where I go.  It’s literally attached to my hip in case I need a little inspiration or need some quiet time and a little relaxation.  Sometimes we don’t think about the convenience of things like headphones or ear buds until we are spending 45 minutes untangling them.  It’s no secret that I’m brutal with many of my belongings and earphones are one of them.  I literally take them off and toss them in my purse only to find them the next day looking like a bad hair day on steroids… it’s traumatic to say the least. Today I bring to you a product that my son Kevin and I have been absolutely loving.  See, he is an earphone extraordinaire as well and you can easily find a pair of earbuds in his pocket on any given day.  Today – we share with you a revolutionary product called – CordCruncher.  These tangle-free earbuds (they also have charging cables) help solve a solution my son and I deal with on a daily basis – tangled head phone cords.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

How many of you spend minutes or longer untangling your headphones?  How many of you have headphones that look like mine (pictured above)?  US&M partnered and collaborated with Spice Girl and America’s Got Talent judge, Mel B. for the global launch of CordCruncher, a much needed and most convenient tangle-free earbuds.  Since Mel B. leads an active lifestyle and loves working out, she uses her Cord Cruncher to prevent tangling while she is listening to her music during her workout sessions.  These awesome headphones are available in four different colors so you can pick the one that best fits your personality and style and they offer you the ease of mind – knowing you won’t be spending an hour untangling cords the next time you want to use your earbuds.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

There are different types of CordCrunchers available.  The Tangle Free Earbuds with Microphone and the Standard Tangle Free Earbuds are $29.99 and the Mel B Signature Series Tangle Free Earbuds are $39.99.  My son and I both own the Mel B Signature Series in Cobalt Blue and Poppin Pink.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

The technology of the CordCruncher is designed and engineered right here in the US.  It’s a patented tangle free cord management system that  has a Tangle Free Sleeve that is made of medical grade natural USA latex rubber.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

The earbuds have great features like – well, of course… they NEVER tangle and have patented adjustable bass and drivers making the sound incredible for acoustics of all kinds.  It extends and retracts into the tangle free sleeve 40″ to 16″ and includes 3 pairs of different sized ear tips.  The different sized ear tips are especially important to me because I have sensitive ears and I can adjust the size of the earbud to fit comfortably in my ear.  What makes this so great as well is that you can wrap the CordCruncher around your wrist or neck for storage while on the go… hello, genius.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

Using these earbuds is as simple as pulling out the cord to use them and then stretching the latex sleeve over the cord when you are done to store them away.  It’s just a matter of a little finger work and you’re good to go.  I especially love that I can turn up the base with just a little turn of the actual earbud itself, offering great audio with acoustic sound that gets me pumped up and ready to go for a walk and run or workout.  You can extend the cord to 40″ which gives you a lot of length for your convenience, or tuck some of it away for a shorter cord that gives you a little more freedom to move.

“These earbuds are awesome.  I use them in various electronics – my iPad, Samsung Note and to listen to music or watch videos.  They are comfortable to wear and easy to put away.  I just toss them in my backpack and they have never tangled.  It’s a great invention.” – Kevin

These earbuds are seriously a great buy.  Considering the quality and the technology as well as the ease of use, they are an impressive product that I would highly suggest to anyone.  If you are someone like me that uses music to inspire you or watches YouTube videos on the fly and you take music with you on a workout or run, you’ll absolutely LOVE these.

CordCruncher, Tangle free headphones, headphones, tech gear, tech gadgets, gadgets, review, product review, electronics, mel b,

I remember a time when headphones and earbuds were really affordable and that also meant they didn’t last long.  In the time when a set of headphones can cost you upwards of $100 or more, these definitely offer similar quality but the convenience of not only using on the go – but they never tangle.  If you ask me, it’s a WIN.

You can get these earbuds and others products from CordCruncher at:  If you are tired of tangled headphones and earbuds, I highly suggest you check these babies out, they’re awesome.  They are so good, they made my April Favorites 2016 Video, which you can watch here.  I’m sure you’ll see these pop up in various videos on my channel or in social media because we truly enjoy them.

I want to thank my son Kevin for offering his input and for helping me test out the CordCruncher.

So, have you heard of the CordCruncher earbuds before?  If you have, what are your thoughts on them?  If not, is this is something you think you would get some use out of?

Running, walking or any form of working out is so much better with music and because of this, I’m always looking for a way to stash my phone that holds all my favorite workout tunes.  I have done everything under the sun from sticking my phone in a pocket – which, let’s be honest, most of my exercise clothing doesn’t have.  I have even held my phone in my hands (ear phones connected) in an attempt to still get a full workout in for the day.  But recently I was introduced to the TKO Running Belt with reflective trim.  I have used products from TKO before and it’s a brand that I enjoy so I was so eager to try this belt out.  Today I share it with all of you.

TKO Running belt, TKO, running belt, review, product review, exercise belt, exercise, workout,

The TKO Running Belt ($12.99) works perfectly for anyone that loves a good workout, biking, running, hiking or walking.  It gives you the convenience of having all of the things you would need on a workout – for me that would be my phone and my asthma inhaler, while still allowing you to be hands-free.  This running belt is predominantly black with colorful reflective trim (my belt has lime trim – but available in all black, wild berry, sapphire and lime).  Water-resistant design with two expandable pockets allow you to carry your necessities with ease.  I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it fit my phone as well as my inhaler in the pocket for hands free use.  The belt also comes with an adjustable waist band which is a plus so that my husband and I both get use out of it and I like that it fits my wide hips.

TKO Running belt, TKO, running belt, review, product review, exercise belt, exercise, workout,

This very lightweight belt is a great workout buddy and companion.  I tend to drive to forest locations for a good run which means I’ll have my keys on hand at any given time.  This pouch holds not only my keys but the important things I need to get in a good workout.  Not only is the belt adjustable, but it stretches so it makes it comfortable and I like the fact that the reflective trim helps when I’m on the side of the road.  The reflective trim really is a great feature for anyone that takes part in their workout outside of the home.

TKO Running belt, TKO, running belt, review, product review, exercise belt, exercise, workout,

There are two pockets on the TKO Running Belt.  One is large enough to fit my pretty big phone and the other small enough to hold onto my asthma inhaler and some of my keys.  The belt is well made and the zipper is sturdy and strong.  I’m really impressed with how well this belt has held up with use over the last two months as well as how convenient it has been for me.  It’s nice to know that I can listen to my favorite jams and not worry about having my hands hold everything.  The pocket zips up nicely and I leave it slightly open so that my headphone cord can hang out while it’s plugged into my ears.

Do you hold your music device or other things in your hands while out for a walk?  I did and now I’m glad I don’t have to any longer.  Check out TKO’s Running Belt and get one for yourself via their Amazon Store.

May background

Here in Hawaii, May 1st is called Lei Day.  It’s a popular tradition here in our State that on Lei Day, most elementary schools will celebrate their May Day festivities which include everything from performances to a Royal Court that is represented by the keiki (children).  Everything from Hula and dancing to fun games and wonderful Hawaiian food are usually a part of the day.  Since it is Lei Day here, it means that most of Hawaii’s schools will be getting ready to start Summer vacation (summer break) and the school year will be coming to an end in a few short weeks.  I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by and how much I have accomplished in April.

Since it is the beginning of the month and sometimes I feel like I need a little boost of inspiration for the month to come – I put together a little something for my readers.  With the humdrum of every day life or the busy schedules we often live, we don’t take the time to really stop thinking about important things and instead put them in motion.  This month I have a fun free wallpaper or background for the techie lovers.  This background can be used for your Desktop (PC or MAC), Smartphone (Android or iPhone) and Tablet (Android / iPad) and it is free to download.  The quote is one I have loved for years and decided I would share the love with all of you.  The image is one that I have taken of some beautiful roses and I thought it would be a fun way to incorporate a little Spring into your lives.

There is absolutely no hiding it, I am an android lover.  It has been said in various posts and videos in the past that as much as many have tried to get me to convert, I just can’t do it and am a huge fan of the Android base system and what it has to offer.  As if that was not enough, after owning the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 previously, I just couldn’t see converting to iPhone either… Recently, I upgraded my phone to the Note 4, and it is my technological best friend.

What's on my phone?

Being in a technology world, it comes as no surprise that I use many of my phone and computer features as a part of my daily routine and overall work base.  I whole-heartily believe that you must “disengage” yourself from technology often, but I also run my entire world through my phone and sync it directly with my paper planner so my lifeline for certain things can be found here.  It’s ingenious if you think about it, years ago when I was still carrying around my funky button phone, there was no such thing as an app and now – there are a plethora of them available at the touch of a screen.

So what apps are important to me.  Be sure to check out the video below where I walk you through each aspect of what is on my phone.  Click here to watch directly on YouTube.  It’s a long one, so grab a cup of joe and enjoy.  Not into long videos?  Well, do not worry – I sum it all up for you below.

Most of the applications on my phone are geared towards production or productivity.

Blog, Productivity and Tasks apps:

  • WordPress – I blog through WordPress.Org and use this app to write up drafts for my site as well as manage images, etc.  A handy app for blogging on the go.
  • Trello – One of my favorite apps for organizing anything.  This is a free app that you can use to organize a schedule, project, or anything you can think of and share with others so they can add and remove from your task list.  I use this for project planning and for party planning and I love how easy of an interface it is.  Interested in checking it out?  Click here.
  • Evernote – Similar to Trello but different, if that makes any sense.  Evernote is what I use on the go when I can’t access WordPress.  It allows me to type out notes or a full letter or post if I want and save for a later date.  I save images, task lists – anything you can think of and can sync via my phone, tablet and desk top as with Trello.
  • Wunderlist – Yes, I may be in a task list overload… but this app is my go to for grocery lists and even listing ideas for posts and videos.  I love that I can break it down easily in it’s own little folders, sub folders, etc. and check them off once I’m done.  It’s simple and again, works through my desk top and my phone/tablet allowing me to be able to access on the go.  This has been my go-to shopping buddy.
  • Scanbot – I use this to scan all of my documents into PDF form, includes receipts too and saves to the drives I request.
  • DocuSign – I use this app to sign documents easily using my built in S-Pen.  You can then email to the recipient or save.

Favorite Dining, Review, Travel and Realty Apps:

  • Open Table – My absolute favorite app for booking reservations.  I use this app for looking up reviews as well.
  • Urban Spoon – Another cool app for looking up reviews and menus on restaurants.  I have been using Urban Spoon for years and have utilized it not only in my home state but many places across the US.  It is a life saver when in a pinch and you have no idea what or where to eat.
  • Uber – A fun taxi app.  I haven’t used it yet since I haven’t been traveling lately, but I will soon.
  • Yelp – I use Yelp often and if I’m not featuring a restaurant or establishment here on my blog, you know you can find my review on Yelp.
  • Yellow Pages / Yellow Book – Who needs to pay for 411?  I love that the Yellow Pages app is easy to use and quick.  Find anything you need from pizza to a hotel or a pair of socks at your finger tips.
  • Kayak – Have you seen the commercials?  This app makes booking travel very easy.
  • TripAdvisor – Look up reviews of your favorite destination resorts, etc. and find the cheapest rate for travel
  • Expedia – A long time favorite… I will always use this for discounts on airfare, travel, etc.
  • Zillow – An easy interface for looking for houses in the area you want to purchase.
  • – Find your dream house with this easy to use app.
  • Trulia – one of my favorite realty apps besides Zillow – this app will allow you to see what is available for purchase in the Realty market.  Since my hubs and I are always on the hunt to buy our dream home, Realty apps make it simple.

I’m not normally a late shopper when it comes to the Holiday months and try to get all my Christmas shopping done in a timely manner to beat the crowds and the mail man.  But, I know that life happens sometimes and it can be a difficult thing to get your shopping done in time to make the Christmas rush.  While we are less than a week away from Santa stopping by our houses, I wanted to share with you a few quick buys for those on your shopping list.  While presents to open under the tree or gift cards and money are great, let’s not forget the people in our lives that love to read.  What’s so awesome is that the Kindle books offers so many gift giving ideas… simply at the click of a button.  The receiver can easily download their selection and enjoy their read on the go or at the comforts of their own homes.  Here are a few books that I have added to my reading list for myself and my husband as well as my boys.

Clean Food Diet

What better way to start the new year with some clean eating.  This book includes 50+ natural recipes for healthy living.  Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m not turning Vegan on you… I love my animal friends but giving up my carnivore ways are just impossible, but at least I can incorporate some of these healthy recipes into my diet. The Clean Food Diet by Jonathan Vine offers a variety of recipes for your heart’s desire.

Terry Treetop and the Lost Egg is the perfect adventure and educational book for your child(ren) between the ages of 2 and 6.  This book is about a little boy with red hair and freckles who loves to climb trees.  He goes on a little adventure and takes your children along with him.  Filled with photos and stories, this is the perfect book for your preschooler and includes rhyming text as well.

Have you heard of Ally Nathaniel?  Ally is a children’s author who has published 10 books via Amazon (ebooks).  Her books include a wide range of subjects for Toddlers and Preschoolers as well as elementary school children.  Some of her books talk about Self-esteem and self empowerment as well which makes it great reading for your littles.  The selection she has is great and I highly recommend checking out what she has available.

If you have been a reader of my blog for a while now, you know that my husband experiences severe back pain after an injury.  To try to help with the pain so that he doesn’t have to have surgery on his spine, we are always looking for alternative solutions and the Low Back Pain Program by Sherwin Nicholson offers some techniques that can be used to help relieve pain.  In this book you can learn how to self treat chronic lower back pain easily and safely.  This guide is designed to carefully teach you the correct methods to move, train and strengthen your body to properly relieve your back pain.  While I suggest that you first discuss with your physician before any treatment, I definitely think giving this a look see will be beneficial – especially at its price point.

The Paleo Kid is one of my absolute favorite ebooks, offering 26 easy recipes that I can incorporate into my families diet and making the transition easy peezy for the children. This book includes Gluten Free recipes which make it great for those that are on a Gluten Free diet and the recipes are easy to make.  Kid Tested Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snack meals that are not only great for your kids but the entire family.

The list on my kindle is ever growing but I wanted to share a few books that I have recently added to my reading list and a few that I have loved this past year.  While this list is small, I wanted to offer ebooks that I know would be great for families alike.  I will be sure to share more of these in the coming months but for now, if you are looking for some ideas for last minute Christmas / Holiday gifts, give these a try and see if they are something you’ll enjoy.  Happy Holidays!

Some of the books discussed in this review were provided to me for free download for review and consideration via Tomoson.  While some of them may be free, my opinions are 100% honest and my own.

It’s absolutely too cold to be going out for a run or dressing up to go to the gym… or at least that is my opinion, lol.  But, while it’s too chilly we shouldn’t neglect our exercise, or family time for that matter.  Since the boys and I tend to be on our own while my husband is at work we find ourselves exploring or often times going on walks, but the colder months make it a little more difficult.  Well, luckily we have a little fun and easy way to get our exercise in as well as family time.  One of our favorite workouts comes from moving along with the Just Dance 2015 Game for Wii.  Since my family loves music and loves to dance, this is fun in a case and we love it.

Just Dance 2015

Just Dance 2015 is the perfect game to get the whole family up and moving. With a fresh tracklist of more than 40 of the hottest hits and throwback tunes, there’s something for everyone! Players can dance along to hit songs like “Problem” by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea and “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, or classic favorites like “Walk This Way” by Run DMC & Aerosmith.

As a family we have really enjoyed the Just Dance games over the years and were super excited to get our groove on to the 2015 game.  In our opinion, while each song is definitely a hit and gets our heart pumping and our bodies moving, a few of our favorites include:

  • Pharrell Williams – Happy
  • Dead Or Alive – You Spin Me Rount (Like a Record) *A Personal Favorite since that is from my “Dancing Queen” era. lol
  • Maroon 5 – Maps
  • Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora – Black Widow

Just Dance 2015

Since all three of my children love to dance, just like their parents – when the disc gets put into the game console, everyone eagerly awaits their turn and then goes for it when it’s their time.  My ten year old loves the music selection since many of the songs are popular with he and his friends and the twins, they just love to rock out – dancing the night away while we all get some extra exercise in and our body moving for some extra cardio.  Just Dance 2015 is a great way to get the entire family on their feet for some exercise in disguise—have fun while burning calories!

Just Dance 2015

The Just Dance 2015 release includes new songs and fun wacky choreography to keep you moving and dancing to the beat of your own drum… but most importantly, it’s fun and keeps us active during this time of year when going out to play is not as feasible.

To bring awareness to National Bullying Prevention Month, Just Dance 2015 and Stomp Out Bullying have partnered to show people everywhere that “it’s okay to dance to your own beat!”

Purchase Just Dance 2015 available now on Amazon for Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.  Depending on your system and console, pricing can and will vary.

Get your fun and dance on with your family and friends and dance to the beat of your own drum with Just Dance 2015.

I am pretty behind in sharing my monthly favorites.  Sadly I actually filmed a video for August favorites, uploaded it to YouTube and never got around to sharing it… so I decided I would delete it.  Honestly, do you know how many times that happens… I have so many videos I upload without release and realize 2 months or more later that the information I talked about or my thoughts on the subject are no longer accurate. lol Oh well, C’est la vie!  You can consider this my September Favorites… but it’s really a combination of products that I’ve been liking lately.  Without further adieu, let’s get busy. lol

It’s no secret that I am Photography obsessed.  Since the day my dad put a camera in my hands many many moons ago, I have a love of photos and taking images that is beyond passion.  After having my children, that love and passion turned into an addiction – so much so that most times when my children see a camera… they are already smiling. lol  And, if you have been following me on Instagram, you know that I’m also a Selfie Obsessed Makeup Addict – self proclaimed, of course.  Taking photos constantly and on a daily basis is a part of my life and sharing them with family and friends is important to me.  But, what if my family members don’t have Facebook or Instagram?  Well, that is where the Seahorse app makes my life in photos fun and interesting…

seahorse appThe Seahorse app is available for both iPhone and Android and is a way to privately share your images with Family and Friends.  Our life is full with different scenes whether it be a trip, a celebration, a wedding or just a day where you want to take a bunch of photos. Share those photos with those that are special to you without sharing them with the World is now easier than ever.  Gone are the days of emailing a limited amount of images because you are going over your email limit or texting galleries to family and friends.  Now you can share your images on one little app while your family/friends can add their own images and video to your scenes too.

seahorse app

Using the app is easy as pie… I have an Android Phone so here is what I did.

  • Download the app directly to your phone, iPad or Tablet.  Search “Seahorse” and you’ll see an icon with a little white seahorse against a purple toned background.
  • Download Seahorse via iPhone.
  • Download Seahorse via Android.
  • Log in (if you already have an account) or Sign Up.  Signing up is easy – simply use your Facebook, Google + or your email address to sign up for a free account.  Already have an account?  Then go ahead and log in.
  • After you have signed up, follow the prompts to create a new scene to share with your friends and family… Select… New Scene or Tap the Camera Icon on the top right of your screen and a pop up with be visible stating to “Take a Photo or Video, Import from Gallery, Import from Other services, + New Scene”.
  • Tap the “New Scene” and name your gallery – i.e. Twins Birthday Celebration
  • Be sure to invite some of your friends and family to view the gallery.  You can manually type in an email address or it will search for contacts through your contact list.
  • Select or Tap “Create”
  • You can now start adding images to your scene and your friends will receive an email with directions to download the app.

“Uploading images from your galleries on your device or computer is simple.  Just select the image from one of your galleries or a video and you’re good to go.”

seahorse app

A huge huge benefit for me when it comes to Seahorse is that I can also upload and add images directly from my computer which is a big convenience for me.  Since a lot of my images are taken with my DSLR and imported directly to my computer, this allows me to upload directly into Seahorse without the additional steps that I may need from other applications.  I also like to have a break from my phone and tablet from time to time and this really allows me to use the source of choice easily.  And, this photog is all about resolution so I’m happy to say that Seahorse saves your images in their original resolution.

“Use Magic to shake your phone for random images from across scenes to discover a forgotten moment, milestone or celebration”

seahorse app

Uploading images, viewing your scenes and sharing images is very easy. Simply tap to upload, tap to view and tap to share. And, what I love is that the friends that are added to your scenes can also upload and add images and video to share with you.  It’s like a personal gallery that you each can enjoy.  I especially love this option because family parties or gatherings can be turned into a scene full with images from each person that attended.

“All photos and videos shared in a Seahorse scene are co-owned, or belong to, everyone invited to that scene.  Intuitive organizing and sorting by date, location, friends and scenes make it easy to find and share memories.”

Girls night out?  Yay – simply add your friends and you can each share images and video that you captured that evening.

Since my parents don’t use social media sites, this gives all of us the opportunity to connect and share our treasured moments with one another without being bogged down by a news feed.  For those of you that have family or friends that are trying to stay away from Social Media – this is a great way to share your life’s scenes with them instantly and quickly.  Seahorse is ALWAYS private.  So feel confident knowing that you only share what you are comfortable with and whom.

Seahorse is offering my readers an extra 5GB of storage by using promo code: CLEVERHORSE.  This promo code is good until October 31, 2014 and it can only be used once per user.
