The rainy weather has not been agreeing with me lately.  So when I created this look, I could not get a good photo of it and I had to film the tutorial using lights instead of the natural light coming in from my window – but nonetheless, I digress and move forward.  I created this look because I haven’t had the opportunity to do any makeup tutorials using my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and I’ve been playing around with it for a few weeks now.  I used the look book included with the palette as inspiration to create this look, but I did switch it up a little.  I hope you enjoy this.  I thought this would be a really sweet Valentine’s Day look without being too dramatic or over the top, but definitely on the smoky side and sultry.  It’s super easy to create and definitely wearable for a day or night out.

Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial - Cherry Truffle

As I mentioned earlier, lighting was not ideal so I was not too happy with the photos I was able to get before the rain came down harder and the sky darkened.  I take all of my photos outside in natural lighting so it was a bit of an issue, but at least I have some photos to show.

Funny the difference the light can make! Especially in Hawaii. 🙂 Love that gold shimmer on the lid.

    • omigosh – light definitely makes a difference. It has been so dark here and stormy days as well – so out of the norm. I don’t like having to use artificial light and I’m still trying to work out lighting with regard to my video camera and dslr. 🙂 Thank you so much 🙂

  3. I love this look on you sweetie! You really know how to play up your eyes!! I am having such a hard time not picking up this palette. I might be caving…lol

    • thank you Amber. I try to use color complimentary to my eyes color – especially this time of year because my eyes tend to show up much darker than they normally are. Not sure if it’s because of the weather or not. Oh – I’m so glad I picked it up. I originally wanted to get it right when it was rolled out but it took me a while to decide I wanted it and the hubby paid for it. I love it. 😉

    • Thank you! I think you would like this one more then the purple too… 😀 You could easily create this with your Nudetude – the colors are similar that I used 😉

  4. That palette is just so pretty. I know I’m going to cave on it. Love the colors on your eyes.

    • thank you so much 🙂 It really is a great palette and I’m glad I decided to convince the hubby to get it for me. I have been using it quite a bit. 🙂
