Hemp Underwear? Wama Underwear Review

Have you ever tried Hemp Underwear before? Well, I have used a variety of different hemp products, but none of which has been underwear. Needless to say, when Wama reached out to me and asked me to try their products, I was not only interested but also intrigued. So, after using these for over a month, I finally can share my thoughts with all of you.

Who is Wama & What is Their Story?

Their goal is to constantly improve the fit, function, and design while bringing awareness to hemp as an option for clothing – especially underwear. Wama was born out of the research and study of hemp fabric and the application of turning that fabric into underwear.

Wama started from scratch in creating their unique hemp fabric. With a rigorous and super long design process, Wama’s team could not accept anything less than perfect. From stitches to pattern pieces, colors, and design as well as everything in between – they wanted to ensure that everyone’s first experience with hemp underwear would be nothing short of amazing!

What is Wama Underwear?

Wama Underwear is a brand that makes underwear from a blend of cotton and hemp fabric. Hemp textiles have a variety of different benefits – some of which include being naturally anti-bacterial, breathable, soft, and strong. I especially enjoy how it feels against my skin. Wama has a wide range of styles for both men and women and they utilize ethically sourced materials – even during our current pandemic that we’re experiencing.

How Did Wama Fit on Me?

I had the opportunity to try two products from Wama – the underwear and a Racerback Bralette. As many of you know – I’m pretty large chested, sporting an F-size cup. I was worried that there would be no support for the bralette but I was pretty surprised as the band that helped to keep my girls in. Sorry – no photos of it on my body, you’ll just have to take my word for it.

The underwear was extremely comfortable. I went with bikini-style underwear since it is was I tend to use and purchase consistently. Overall, I enjoyed the fit and cut of the underwear and I didn’t notice that it rode up on me or gave me a wedgie (yes, I said wedgie… hey – it happens to the best of us.)

Here’s what I thought after washing both undergarments… they both got extremely softer after each wash. Have you ever kept a t-shirt that you had for years and years and it’s so lived in it’s soft and cozy? I was really impressed by how extremely soft both garments were after the first wash and then it just continued to get softer after each wash thereafter. I didn’t expect that to happen, but I love it!

Besides the softness, I was amazed at the fact that I didn’t have to worry about the bands on each garment rolling on me. I’m in no way little and I tend to have underwear bands roll down on me if they are too thick. The underwear band held it’s own and the bralette band kept my girls in place and held comfortably where they should be.

Each garment is tagless on the back so that was a huge plus for me, especially since I have sensitive skin.

Anything Negative?

With regards to the cut and feel of the fabric, I think all was good in my book. I do wish if anything that there were different styles and a larger choice of color. I’d also love to see a little more availability in style for bralette. But other than that, I really didn’t find any issues.

Final Thoughts

Overall Wama Underwear has definitely been something I have enjoyed. If you’ve been following me on social media, you may have seen that I took a trip recently and Wama accompanied me on that trip. It was perfect to use and comfortable in every way shape and form.

I have enjoyed using Wama underwear and I will continue to use and purchase their products. I love that they are made of organic cotton and hemp blend and they do offer a range of different styles for both women and men. I can’t wait to pick up a pair for my husband to try. My experience ordering from CanvasDiscount

Placing the order on the site was very easy and quick as I stated above. I live in Hawaii, so items usually take a while to make its way to me. But, the ordering process and shipping took about 2 – 1/2 weeks to arrive to my home. I’m sure it would have been much faster if Covid-19 was not an issue, but overall, it was pretty quick. My large box (thin but large in size, since I ordered a 24″ x 36″ canvas size) was delivered via UPS and was received intact, without any damage and arrived perfectly. When opening the box (see my video), it was shrink-wrapped with plastic and in the best condition.

Did the Canvas meet expectations in real life?

The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and no mounting brackets were needed, I simply hung the wooden frame on a nail that was hammered into my wall. Simple and easy to put up for display. The actual print itself is just beautiful. I can’t say it enough how much I love it. I took the image with my phone, using a wireless shutter remote. I’m always worried that when I use a phone camera (even if taken in very high resolution), it can cause pixelization in a print of this size. But, there were absolutely no pixels showing in the print – it’s gorgeous, vibrant and I love it. The colors are exactly as I saw displayed on the computer when ordering – no need to adjust color, etc. and it took the image I had on my screen and printed it as I saw it.

I’ll admit that I was irritated that it kept popping up in my feed (darn algorithm) but absolutely intrigued. So, I had to order some and try it out for myself. About the Lashes

The bundle of lashes is made from high-quality synthetic fibers and ultra-dramatic styles. Each strip lash has 6 magnets for maximum hold and can be trimmed to fit your eye length. These lashes are good for up to 40 uses if properly cared for and they come with a nice magnetic case for storage.

The lashes do not require glue and therefore there is no clumping on the band if you take care of them. Glamnetic suggests scratching off the dried magnetic liner from the magnets in-between use.

Application

In the video I show a quick demo while explaining how to apply. If you are someone who uses liquid liner with a brush tip applicator, this will be simple and easy to do. Simply apply the liner to your lash line (I try to stay away from my natural lashes if possible) and let dry a few short seconds. Then take your lashes and apply close to the base of your eyelid. You will see the magic happen as the lashes stick onto the liner.

Removal of the lashes and liner

Taking off the lashes was pretty easy. I just lightly pulled them off and while they were on there pretty good, they came off quite easily. Removing the liner was as easy as using micellar water for waterproof makeup and/or my cleansing balm from Pixi Beauty. I made sure to use the cleansing balm after the micellar water if the liner got into my natural lashes, to ensure I removed it all. I was definitely impressed at how simple it was to remove it. It did take me some practice and I realized quickly that it was simple if I took my time.

Overall Thoughts

This Glamnetic Lashes Bundle is quite an investment. I knew it when I ordered it and I had high hopes that it would work for me. The lashes cost a pretty penny, (especially considering I can spend $20 for a magnetic lash and liner set from KISS) but, I am glad I ordered it. This collection really got me excited about using lashes again. My eyes have sensitivities to lash glues in the past and I used a pot magnetic liner from Ardell which I was not happy with. I also tried the top/bottom magnetic lashes and those were a complete flop.

I have been using my lashes daily and loving it each and every time. If these lashes were not on sale (I paid about $125 for the set), I would probably have passed on buying it. Do I have buyer’s remorse? Nah… I think I’ll get the use out of these babies, I know that I have so far.

Do I think it’s worth it? Again, if you get it at about $125 like I did, or cheaper… I say check it out. But, if spending that money is gonna put you on the streets, then obviously – no. Honestly though, who am I to tell you how to spend your money? LOL! I will say though… that if you have to replace the liner or the lashes after the investment – you may wanna check out other drugstore type alternatives.
