It’s no secret that Valentia is one of my favorite skin care brands.  Their Vitamin C Serum and Clay Mask are two of my favorites that I continue to purchase time and time again. With all the hype around expensive skincare products, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share with you my thoughts on this product that I’ve been using from Valentia.  The Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum has been a pivotal part in my skin care routine over the last month or so and today I will talk to you more about it and share my thoughts on this product.

The Valencia Night Revive Retinol Serum ($35.00 – 1.8 fl.oz. / 35 mL) is a transformative Retinol Serum that fights wrinkles and provides hydration for visibly smoother, rejuvenated skin.  This serum helps to diminish wrinkles, stimulate collagen, improve skin tone, manage breakouts and helps to condition the skin.  Using this product is very simple as with any other products from the Valentia line and they all work well together if used as a set.  Since the natural ingredients can separate in the bottle, you want to make sure to lightly shake your bottle prior to using it.  I apply this serum nightly to my face and decollete area before I apply moisturizer.  Since this does include retinol in it you want to make sure that you also use with an SPF to help protect the skin while you’re out in the sun or if you’re going to get any sun exposure.

This serum has a white look to it and is very liquidy in texture.  This product is lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly.  It has a light fragrance that I can’t quite pin point what it smells like, but it’s not off-putting at all and it doesn’t affect my sensitive nose.  The serum is milky-like but is not sticky at all and smooths onto the skin with ease, soaking into your face and neck area quickly.  I love that it is not sticky so that I can use with my favorite moisturizer without feeling like I have layers of product on my face.

The Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum contains a unique blend of Retinol, with essential Vitamins C & E that work beautifully together as the perfect night-time cream.  The Retinol works at a cellular level to remodel your skin by increasing the collagen production and diminishing even the deepest of wrinkles.  The Vitamin C provides superior protection while  helping the Retinol penetrate deeper into the skin and the Vitamin E and Shea Butter help to nourish and hydrate the skin, counteracting the drying effects of Retinol and maximizing anti-aging benefits.  This serum has easily become one of my favorites from Valentia and I love how it makes my skin look and feel after using it.

This serum helps to reduce acne breakouts while conditioning and nourishing dry skin.  I have dry skin natural and have Atopic Dermatitis along with severe Eczema.  Many products that contain Retinol can be difficult for me to use on my skin because it is too drying and harsh, leaving my skin with a flare up or sensitivity.  Because of this, I’m very specific with the brands I use and don’t often stray from that part in my skin care routine.  I have found that this serum is gentle on my face.  It may be because of the Vitamins C & E and Shea Butter, but my skin feels softer, smoother in complexion and I haven’t had any problems with skin sensitivity.  In the long term I can expect to see my skin tone and discoloration even out and my fine lines diminish as they would with long term use of Retinol products.  An increase of collagen production is another long term result I can also expect from this product.
