The Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Pink Lights is absolutely gorgeous. It retails for $6.00 which is a huge steal considering you are getting 7.5g of product. The Highlighter is a frosty lilac pink shade in the pot and swept across your cheeks gives off a silvery shimmer that makes a great highlight for the inner corner of your eyes or graced upon your cheek bones. This highlighter is very pigmented and very bold in color so when applying I definitely suggest using a light hand and a fan brush to apply the perfect amount of highlight.
With this product, I noticed it can last for quite a bit of hours, about 6 hours later and you could still see the glisten of shimmer upon my cheek bones. The embossing on the product itself is also gorgeous. I plan to pick up Radiant Lights, Peach Lights and Golden Lights soon because I tend to wear champagne and golden highlighters more so I’m looking forward to that.
Next makeup product to discuss is the Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Salvation Palette. Retailing for $10 this palette includes 18 shadows in a mix of shades from every day neutrals to pops of color. The shades in this palette are perfect to create a look for year round, whether a neutral every day eye shadow look or something bold with color. The palette packaging is very sturdy and I like the design of the shadows, separating them in different pans as they did. The palette comes with a double ended sponge tip applicator, though it is not something I really use. I like that there is also a big mirror on the inside which makes great for travel.
While I think the mix of shades in this palette are gorgeous, the colors do need a little bit of building up to get the pigmentation comparable to what you see in the pan. Some of the shades can be a bit patchy and I found that I really needed to work on the application quite a bit. The shimmery shades were the ones that I really needed to work at building up the most but the shades on the top row were the hardest to work with.
The middle row of shades seem to have better pigmentation than the top row – especially the first teal shade but they still have uneven application and need to build up to get good color payoff.
The last row, the circle pans – are all matte eye shadows. These have definitely impressed me. They have pretty nice, even application and good pigmentation with one swipe. They were not chalky and blended fairly well for matte shades. This row of shades are my favorite.
The shades have a smooth texture in the palette which makes it really nice to work with and while some of the colors have a patchy texture and application and lack some pigmentation, I feel that after I started using the palette much more, they were easier to apply with better pigmentation. I have found over the years that some palettes lose their pigmentation when the shadows are set into the pan and sometimes getting past the top layer of shadows offers better color payoff which seems to be the overall with this palette. While I still haven’t gotten supreme color payoff, I can definitely use these shadows in looks much easier now and the colors don’t need to be built up as much.
Last product in the bunch that I was able to try is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Palette in All About Bronze. Retailing for $10, this palette includes a variety of bronze shades for contouring in warm tones for every skin tone. You also get a few highlighter shades in this palette. These shades work really well for me… mainly because I tend to pull for bronze shades when contouring or bronzing up my face. This palette has a mixture of matte and shimmer shades as well as baked powders and the palette is nicely made – packaging good and there is a giant mirror inside.
All of the shades in this palette are very pigmented and apply nicely. Some of them are a tad bit powdery but they blend so nicely and easily that I find that it doesn’t bother me at all. If you one that enjoys contouring with cool toned shades, this palette may not work for you necessarily – but I really enjoy it. The matte shades work well for contouring and the shimmery bronzers work well as an all over bronze. I love the highlighting shades in this palette as they provide my cheek bones the perfect amount of highlight without going overboard.
Out of all the products I have tried so far from Makeup Revolution USA, the All About Bronze palette is my favorite and I have been getting a lot of use from this palette. Each powder is very pigmented so a little goes a long way and choosing the right brush to apply the powders can be tricky. The highlighter shades apply best with a small fan brush and make sure to tap off your brushes with each application or you could get a lot of powder and too much color. I love the way the powders feel on my skin, they are very soft and I was quite impressed.
Overall I think that this new to the US brand is quite nice. The products are affordable which make it an easy buy and those who are near an Ulta can easily find the products available in their local stores. I am very interested in trying out the lippies that Makeup Revolution has since there are some really nice liquid to matte finish ones I have had my eyes on and the variety of cosmetics in this line is great.
Have you tried anything from Makeup Revolution before? If not, are any of these products on your holiday wish list or to-try list. I can’t wait to get my hands on more products from the brands and if I do – I’ll be sure to share them with you.

What a gorgeous collection! Your swatches are gorgeous, Honey! It’s unbelievably how much you get, and at such a reasonable price point!
Love this brand and their prices! <3
Beautiful, both! And the shadow palette has your shades for sure. I have a MUR palette that I still have to review.
I have wanted to try this brand for so long! I went to two of my local ULTA’s and scoured the store for the brand, and was so sad that they both didn’t carry it 🙁 I always hear such great things about their products, and the prices are great!
I need that highlighter to live all over my entire body.
I’ve been wanting to try their eyeshadows. I have an Ulta g.c. so they are on my list.
I need to order some of these from the Ulta website. They don’t seem to be carried in my local store.
Very affordable indeed. I like the bronzer palette
I love Makeup Revolution! I’ve tried their palettes and eyeliners and both work far better than so many more expensive brands. Next stop – lipsticks!
Hopefully they expand beyond Ulta, I’d totally try them. The bronzer palette looks great.
I haven’t heard of this brand but I want to look for that highlighter next time I’m at Ulta!
