If you have been reading or keeping up with my blog or YouTube channel, you will know that I have severe eczema and have been working at keeping my skin from flaring up. Because my eczema usually flares up when my skin is super dry or when I try a product that is too harsh for me to use, I take precaution when testing out new products.
Recently I had the opportunity to try out a product from Bioque, which is a brand I had never heard of before so I was very interested in seeing what they had to offer. I tested out the Rejuvenating Day Cream over the last month and here are my thoughts on the product.
The Bioque Rejuvenating Day Cream (1.75 oz / 50g) retails for $45.00 on the website. This day cream comes with pretty unique and eye catching packaging, offering a clean white box with black lettering and a jar that looks like a crystal vase. I was immediately sold just opening the box to be greeted by such a pretty jar and definitely loved how feminine and expensive it looked.
An advanced moisturizer to defend against signs of premature aging of the skin and to diminish the appearance and early signs of aging. Dullness and fine dry lines are visibly reduced. Exceptional daytime hydration to bring out the radiant youthful look to your skin. Peptide-rich, botanical-bursting moisturizing cream – keeps regeneration running at peak performance for long-term luscious skin.
Directions for use*
Cleanse face with Bioque Facial Cleanser and pat dry. If using Serum XL and/or Serum Rejeuvenate, apply first and wait for product(s) to fully absorb. Apply in the morning to facial area, gently massaging with upward motions; can also be used on back of hands and neck. Wait for absorption before applying any additional creams, foundations, or makeup. Use together with Serum Rejeuvenate and Rejuvenating Night Cream for maximum benefit.
The cream reminds me of the texture you would get from a thick lotion or body cream. I like the consistency of how it feels on the skin and it applies nicely. I tested this product during the warm summer months here and felt like it didn’t quite soak into my skin as great as I thought it would. While it felt nice applying it to my face, I felt like it was heavy and almost left a sticky type residue behind through out the day. I felt like the product didn’t quite soak into my skin. Immediately after applying it – I did feel like my skin was moisturized, but within an hour, my eczema started to flare up on me and my skin felt really dry and irritated. I washed it off immediately and decided I would test the product again on a cooler day – thinking the heat may have had some to do with the reaction towards the product.

When testing the product out another day and a few days after, while I did not have a severe reaction those other times, I did have minor flare ups each time, so I think my skin is just so sensitive that it did not work for me. Here’s the thing I say about all skin care products I use however… just because it doesn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it will not work for you. Each skin type is different and mine happens to be extremely sensitive.
While the cream didn’t work well for me, I was able to pass it on to someone else in my household who is loving and enjoying the benefits of the product as I’m typing this. A few key notes to my friends who read my blog… For the amount of product you receive and of course the packaging, the price point on this product is pretty good and while not extremely affordable, I think it’s definitely attainable. The packaging alone is what I was sold on immediately. The cream is a nice texture and consistency and if you are fond of creams that have a slight thickness to them but still feel creamy – I think you would enjoy the texture of this one. There is a mild scent like one you would kind of expect from a facial moisturizer, not strong at all but you can get a hint of it when applying. A little of the product goes a long way and when applying to the face, it is easy to take a small amount and apply all over instead of using a ton of product. I do not like the fact that I felt sticky and even kind of hot through the course of the days when I used this, but keep in mind I live in Hawaii – a warm climate and of course, it is summer too. I also was not fond of the fact that it didn’t really soak into the skin as other moisturizers and serums have done for me in the past – so I didn’t like feeling it on my skin all day. For those that like the dewy look, this may be a product that will work for you – but I was not too excited about that.

Overall I think this product could be beneficial for many out there. The company claims sound like this may work if I didn’t have overly sensitive skin and since passing this product on, my family member enjoys it quite a bit. If you have sensitive skin – I would definitely test this on a small area first to see if you have any reaction.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I’m not familiar with this line. Thanks for the thorough review and thoughts! 🙂
Was there sunscreen in it?
I´ve never heard of this brand before. Too bad it did not work for you 🙁
Sounds like it’s made for really dry winter skin. Sorry it didn’t work for you!
Your pics are gorgeous, great review!
I do not like thick feeling creams–if they are thick but feel light I’m down otherwise a big NO! Sorry it caused flare-ups.
I don’t think I’d like the thick heavy feeling, especially having combo skin
I’m with you on the heavy feeling. It would bug me too. This might be great for the winter though when skin usually needs some extra hydration.
I kinda like thick feeling creams so this is right up my alley. Great pictures, mama!
Oh this stuff sounds awesome!!
The packaging is gorgeous, but I don’t like creams that just sit there. My oily skin does better with light creams that absorb completely. I do like thicker creams on my body, though.
I think this would be great for those with dryer skin tones.
my face is far to oily for something like this
I have dry skin but I think this would still be a no go for me because I don’t like the feeling of heavy creams.
This would be perfect for the colder months for me
This moisturizer sounds really nice for dry skin.
I really thought it would be awesome for my dry skin but it really wasn’t as great as I thought. ;/
