Living on a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean means that many times, we are last on the list to have any new stores or establishments open. So, because of this – I was quite excited to see that a new store made it’s way to the islands. BoxLunch (a pop culture gift store with a cause) will be opening its newest location today in Aiea, Hawaii on the island of Oahu, at the Pearlridge Shopping Center.
BoxLunch will celebrate their grand opening in-store on Saturday, April 1st and Sunday, April 2nd from 12pm to 4pm. BoxLunch offers a variety of thoughtfully curated selections of the world’s most popular licensed shirts, accessories, collectibles, beauty, home goods and gifts for everyone and anyone including the most dedicated fan to the more casual pop culture enthusiast.
What makes BoxLunch so awesome is the cause they work for. To fulfill its civic mission of “Get Some. Give Back”, BoxLunch will donate one meal to Feeding America for every $10 spent in-store or online. BoxLunch is proud to support national hunger-relief efforts as well as local efforts through Feeding America’s nationwide network of food banks, including the Hawaii Foodbank, Inc. which will directly receive a percentage of the donations raised at the Pearlridge Center BoxLunch Store. It is awesome that a store newly opened is giving back to its community – right here at home, in it’s own backyard.

I’m excited to stop in and check out the store the next time I’m on island. Sadly, I’m not located on Oahu, I’m on Maui – so I’ll need to wait till my next visit before checking it out. If you are on Oahu, I highly suggest stopping by Pearlridge Shopping Center and visiting the BoxLunch store.
