When it comes to personal style, honestly… I’m super casual. I’ll rock a pair of jeans and a t-shirt any day of the week. However, when Spring and Summer head my way – that’s when I find myself picking out key pieces to really spruce up my otherwise “basic” wardrobe for something else. Finding anything stylish in Hawaii that fits me right is one of my biggest challenges of being a plus sized girl and let’s face it, Hawaii is so hot, it’s already difficult to find the right kind of fabric that won’t cling to all the parts I don’t want exaggerated. With a laundry list of things I’m so particular about, it’s no wonder I struggle to find anything to wear. lol But, I have recently ordered from Ashley Stewart online and boy oh boy am I happy to share my finds with all of you.
Ashley Stewart is a clothing store that caters to plus size women who love any kind of fashion. Whether it be casual or a night out on the town, Ashley Stewart has you covered with a variety of pieces and new arrivals in sizes 12-32. Let’s just stay that I’ve definitely found a new addiction and can’t wait for my next Ashley Stewart fix.
I am always on the hunt for plus size fashion that is fun and makes me feel confident in the skin I’m in. While I do have a casual personal style, I also love looking & feeling great in the hottest fashion styles & trends. With 89 stores across the United States and a website where I can shop in my leggings and from the comfort of my bed with jammies, I’m an Ashley Stewart Addict!
With new styles added every single day, you can save 40% off new arrivals when you checkout with code: PRIMP40.
I managed to build myself a pretty hefty wishlist while browsing the Ashley Stewart site but I was able to nail it down to some key pieces and fashion items I know that I’ll definitely get use out of and enjoy. The goal was to grab items that would allow me to use through Spring and Summer and all year round so today I’m going to share with you some of these pieces and the outfits I was able to put together.
I selected pieces that would could easily be transitioned from casual to dressy. That’s where this combo came about. The Hi-Lo Blouse with Drop Shoulders in the color Mandalay Lime (a gorgeous lime yellow) was the perfect pick. Yellow shades have long been a great pairing for my skin tone and this top absolutely spoke to me. Whether I’m using it with a pair of slacks or leggings or opting to dress it up with a skirt, this top is definitely a hit. For a casual look, I combined this top with the Stretch Sateen Bermuda Shorts. I have a thing for Sateen shorts because they have just the right amount of stretch and just sit so nicely on my waist. I also love how the material hugs you just enough to give you shape but without accentuating all my curves in the wrong way. Since they are bermudas, they come right to my knee and they seriously just look so classy. I know I’ll have fun styling these shorts with other pieces in my wardrobe.
Of course, I had to pair this outfit with a fun bag and some gorgeous wedges right? I seen this stunning Pineapple Cutout Dome Shoulder Bag and knew I just had to have it. With the Strappy Grommet Wedges, I knew my outfit was complete. Seriously, how gorgeous is that brown shade, love it!
The next outfit, well – I wasn’t about to pass up on this piece when I first laid my eyes on it. For years I’ve been a huge fan of jumpsuits. I own several in my collection already, but never one that was gaucho style. I absolutely fell in love with this Zip Front Gaucho Jumpsuit and knew it had to be mine. Do you know how hard it is to find a plus sized jumpsuit that fits well? It’s darn right impossible sometimes and this one is perfect. I wore it out with my family for a jazz concert my son was a part of and I seriously was styling.
I paired this jumpsuit with the Patterned Tie Back Block Heel and I thought everything looked great. I’m a fan of Ashley Stewart footwear because everything is wide width, which makes it easy to fit my wide feet. I sized up to a size 9 for my footwear because I normally use a size 8.5 W, but found that the 9 was a little too big. Nonetheless I am gonna make use of these babies, seriously how adorbs are they? I’m in love.
Remember how I said yellow was definitely my color? Well, I absolutely fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it on the home page of Ashley Stewart’s website. This Sleeveless Fit N Flare Dress in Madalay Lime is such a hot selection for Spring and Summer. It’s available in four other colors – Orange.com, Princess Blue, Black and White and is the perfect length for me to use with a variety of different looks. It will surely be a favorite piece in my wardrobe this season and I’m loving it paired with the wedges and shoulder bag I mentioned previously.
One of my favorite pieces for any time of year is anything black. This Tiered Bell Sleeve Surplice Romper is perfect for a casual or dressy affair. I love that it can be paired with any of the sandals I picked up from Ashley Stewart or even a cute pair of flip flops or sandals. With a deep v surplice neckline, self-tie belt and elastic waist, this romper is not only comfortable but easy to wear on the go.
A jacket or sweater is a great final touch to any outfit selection. I immediately set my sites on the Varsity Style Mesh Bomber Jacket. First of all, every lady needs a bomber jacket or two, or three (but hey, who’s counting). I have never seen a bomber jacket like this one before. Striped elastic bands give this jacket the perfect detail and a mesh body with zip front closure – makes this a winner year round. It’s girly and flirty for the perfect casual or dressy affair and I love it. I think this jacket is perfect for any plus size gal because it shows some skin without being too sexy… saucy style is totally in, right? Pair it with anything from a skirt to jeans (or shorts as I have) and you’ll find yourself loving your look.
*I paired this bomber jacket with the Ribbed Scoop Neck Tank, Stretch Sateen Bermuda Shorts and Wedges – all from Ashley Stewart.
As you can see from the range of styles I put together, you could have so much fun shopping with Ashley Stewart. This was my first time shopping on this site with this brand and I’m loving the quality of the clothes and accessories as well as the price point. I loved it so much, I placed another order to stock up on key designs that were just released.
Check out how some of my girlies styled their Ashley Stewart finds: Heather from Crazy Beautiful Makeup is rocking out her cute tees & denim, Sahily from Pretty In Pigment makes wearing white before or after Labor Day absolutely stunning. Southern Belle and one of my favorite bloggers Elle Sees makes me look forward to tea time in her florals and lastly, Mercedes from Beyond Beauty Lounge makes bold patterns in my favorite color purple – look absolutely divine.
If you’re planning to stock up on your spring and summer plus size wear, make sure to use CODE: PRIMP40 at checkout and save a little cash on your purchase. If you ask me, a discount is one of the biggest reasons that I will shop.

I especially love the black and the yellow dresses. Both are stunning! I need some flowered shoes especially sandals. I’ve been trolling TJs but nothing in my size so far
Oh yes, a good pair of statement sandals are a must. 🙂 The black one is actually a romper… I really like it. I wish it had a little more support in the tummy area, but it’s still really comfortable.
What great items you chose. The yellow dress and the black one are my favorites. You do look great in yellow.
I’m a casual dresser too and like to have a few fun things added in for spring and summer. I like everything you picked, but that yellow dress is my favorite!!
