With new inventions created daily in the beauty industry – it always amazes me when I see new products hit the shelves or online store fronts that help with things like anti-aging and wrinkles, acne scarring and overall appearance. There are so many products out there with so many price points and designs, it can be a challenge to know which will work best for your skin. Having worked in the medical industry – I have seen cosmetic surgery and laser treatment first hand and I am still blown away with how many technological items are now available to help combat the issues that required surgery at one time. The Bright Therapy Softlaser Plus has been an interesting tool to try and I wanted to share it with my readers. Is it something I got results from? Read on to see…
The Bright Therapy Softlaser Plus is said to be the No. 1 selling Light Therapy Softlaser in the world (information from the company). This laser is ideal for treating acne, wrinkles and spider veins, age spots and much more. This unit is cordless and takes 2 AAA batteries (which are included with purchase) and a carrying case which makes it ideal for travel. The unit is small and lightweight so it makes treating areas a breeze as you are not required to hold up a product to your face, etc. for long periods of time that will be too heavy to hold.
Laser or light therapy is something that tends to freak many people out. This Bright Therapy Softlaser Plus does not cut or burn as surgical lasers may do and the unit does not hurt at all when applied to the skin. It has a light that penetrates into the skin to stimulate cellular growth so there is no discomfort from the treatment regardless of how often you use it. While applying the light to your skin, you may decide to have a continuous pulsing sensation or vibration or pulsing sensation which feel like a soft skin massage. The Bright Therapy Softlaser Plus produces a true laser light that has a super wide beam. It is the coherent and monochromatic laser light that stimulates skin cells to produce more ATP cell energy which is energized cells that in turn act like younger cells, producing more collagen, healing faster and fighting acne causing bacteria.
The Bright Therapy Softlaser Plus is effective for the following things:
- helping to reverse the effects and signs of aging
- reducing wrinkles and fine lines
- stimulating collagen for help with skin tone
- clearing acne and erasing blemishes and bruises

The wave length of power has been proven to be the most beneficial for skin rejuvenation. And, instead of dimming when the batteries get low – the Softlaser will shut off automatically letting you know you need to replace the batteries. Make sure when treating places near the eyes that you tilt the laser away from your eyes and run the laser on your skin in a zig zag motion to cover the area you are treating. As with any laser, do not stare into the beam, point at your eyes or at anyone else’s and treat this as you would laser tool. Be careful and use as recommended and suggested.

So what are my thoughts on this product now that I have given you the very LONG low down on the product? Well, first – let me say that it is so easy to use, you even get batteries with the product so it makes it quick to try it out of the box. I like that because it allows you to try out the product immediately once you have read the directions. It is easy to use, you have one button to control the whole unit. Press the button once and it will turn it on with a continuous vibration, press the button again and you will get a soft pulsating vibration and press the button again and it will shut the unit off. It does not hurt, burn or irritate my skin at all – major bonus. For anyone with sensitive skin like I have, it doesn’t affect my skin in any way and feels like a soft massage on my face or body.
So does it work? Well, I have used it on my face but didn’t notice any extreme results and I have been using it a month. I have also been using it on my wrists to help with some pain with my bilateral carpal tunnel and while I have been getting some relief, again – nothing quite extreme. Though, I’ll be honest, it has gotten my attention some since I notice I can type for a longer period of time without issue. The thing that I have notice a difference in is my spider veins. After holding 11 pounds worth of twin babies in my tummy a few years ago, I developed spider veins on my calves on the outside and they are not very nice looking. Normally I ignore them but I figured I would try and treat those areas. After just a month, I noticed that my spider veins are appearing to be a lot flatter, not so much 3D or sticking out and they are lighter. Now – again, having worked in medical and I know Sclerotherapy can be painful as is laser treatment so if this helps to alleviate at least some of the issue – count me in. The Bright Therapy Softlaser is painless in comparison to other treatments, so I will continue using it and try to share the results with you.
Oh – sorry, I bet you wanted to see those nasty spider veins? Well, not today… not today! lol Overall – I think with consistent use (I use mine 2-3 times a day when time permits) you can experience some form of results, even if only a little at a time. With continued use and over time, I am excited to see how this will help. My goal is to try this out on my Eczema flare ups to see if it works or on a break out here and there. I’ll be sure to update and let you know how it does when I’m able to try it out for those purposes.
One quick note… make sure to not get serums, creams, etc. on the unit and if you do – a little alcohol wipe should help clean it up. Use on dry skin and the unit is not waterproof so do not use in the shower.
So – have you heard of something like this before that is handheld and can be used in the comforts of your own home? If you have, what are your thoughts, if you haven’t – do you think you would give it a try. Also, have you tried it? If so – what kind of results did you get? I did some market research for a company with an acne light device a few years ago. But I am quite interested in light/laser therapy to fade my dark spots or helped the appearance of my wrinkles. Glad you’re seeing some results with your spider veins 🙂
I need this, my dark acne scars are the worst I hate going without makeup I feel like they age me. Glad you are seeing results!
I’m always fascinated with products like this. I think you have to be consistent and I’m not so I don’t always see results. I’m glad it’s making a difference on your spider veins.
I am absolutely fascinated by all of the new devices that have been hitting the market lately. This one sounds very interesting! I’m so glad that you are are seeing results!
Great to know this helped w/ your spider veins. Interesting gadget I must say
I’ve always wondered about stuff like this – I can never bring myslf to try them tho! That’s why reviews are so impt.
I have always been curious of these at home laser lights. The price is pretty decent, but if it doesn’t deliver significant results (on acne) I’m not sure it’s something I’d be willing to shell out the money on. Thanks for the wonderfully thorough review!
I think it’s a really interesting concept- I definitely have some old acne scars I’d like to get rid of- but I don’t think I’d ever spend the money on it.
This is really neat! I would definitely try it on some hyperpigmentation I have! 🙂
