The Beauty Council

Once again, the Beauty Council brings to you another fun post.  This time around we are talking about some of our favorite beauty buys for Fall.  Fall is my favorite time of the year so I’m always looking forward to preparing my favorite beauty goods when this time approaches.  Some of my favorite colors to use whether it be for eye shadow or lips is burgundy and berry shades, wines and purples and of course… gorgeous oranges, golds and plums.  Narrowing down this list was near to impossible because if I had my way, my list would be endless, but I tried to grab the items that I know I’ll pull for the most this Fall and those I know that I will probably rock out consistently.  As I mentioned previously, this post is brought to you in collaboration with my girlies from the Beauty Council, so be sure to check out their links below and see what made the cut for them.

fall beauty buys

DermOrganic Leave-In Spray Therapy ($20.00 / 3.4 fl oz) Summer months tend to do some damage on my hair so when it comes to fall, I’m constantly repairing my hair.  Fall is also the time of year when I tend to darken my hair or go red or purple so because of this a good leave-in condition or hair therapy is mandatory and I suggest it to anyone like myself who has very curly hair.

Malin+Goetz Dark Rum EDT ($150.00 / 3.4 fl oz) Fall months call for richer and deeper notes when it comes to fragrance and one of my all time favorites is the rich scent of Dark Rum from Malin+Goetz.  This scent is definitely a splurge when bought in full size but the scent is entrancing.  What I love about this is that it is complimentary for both men and women and can be paired with some of your favorite perfumes for a unique scent.  Fragrance is a favorite and must have of mine and if I really had to choose a scent, it would be this one.

Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer in Enchanted Garnet ($4.00) I tend to use nudes and deep dark colors during the Fall months and a new release that I have been loving lately is this Enchanted Garnet from Milani.  If you love reds or dark deep shades, you will love this shade and should add it to your Fall “to buy” list.  It’s not only an affordable selection and from the drug store, it offers great pigment, rich color and is gorgeous.

Olay Total Effects 7 in One CC Cream ($20.00 / 1.7 fl oz) & Be Delectable Coconut and Cream Hand Cream ($10.00 / 4 fl oz)  My skin is very sensitive and I get eczema flare ups from time to time so I’m always in need of great moisture.  Olay’s CC Cream which is newly released is awesome to provide SPF and a great airbrushed finish to my face.  I love that it is light weight and feels wonderful on the skin but is also a perfect addition for those “fresh faced” looks.  Be Delectable’s Coconut and Cream Hand Cream is also a favorite for on the go and all the time to keep my skin moisturized and soft.  It smells absolutely wonderful and delicious and keeps my skin hydrated and moisturized all day long through the colder months.

Fall Beauty Buys

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Forbidden Burgundy ($35.00), Milani’s Color Statement Lipstick in Black Cherry ($5.49) and L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint in Daring ($4.99) Like I mentioned previously, I love love burgundy, wine, mauve and purple tones and especially on the lips.  I think it is always great to have a selection that includes affordable and high end brands to create luscious and gorgeous lips on the fly.  I absolutely love this selection and it was definitely difficult to narrow it down considering I had quite a selection to choose from.

I love daring eye shadow looks and smoky eyes year round, but I always make sure to have staples in my collection during the Fall months.  Again, burgundy’s and wine’s, plums and purples and bronze and gold shades are favorites to create stunning eye looks.  Two eye shadow palettes I know I’ll be pulling for this Fall season is the Lorac Pro 2 Palette ($42.00) and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette ($49.00).  While I know that I will be incorporating different shades for show stopping eye looks, these offer a range I can easily use and create every smoky eye imaginable.  What I love is that these palettes can be used year round, not just for fall.

Of course, I had to include a few wish list items…  I had to include these two choices that I’m lusting over and looking forward to picking up soon.

The newly released Limited Edition Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. Oh my gosh – it’s so beautiful and I need it. Considering I don’t own any of the single blushes, I just know I need to get my hands on this palette ASAP and before it sells out.

The Lorac Mega Pro Palette.  Ladies and Gents, this is not an illusion and I can’t wait for October for this palette to come out and be available for sale.  This is another added to my wish list and my “to buy” list before it sells out.

I hope this little list of goodies gave you some ideas of great buys for Fall shopping.  I listed a few of my must haves and a few that I’ve been lusting over.  Don’t forget to check out what the lovely ladies of The Beauty Council have on their lists as well and head on over to check it out. 🙂  Have a fabulous day!

    • thanks girl. Yes… I wish we had leaves change color but I’ll take what we got. lol I haven’t touched my Forbidden Burgundy in a while and I’m so happy to be using it again 🙂

  3. I am waiting for those two as well! We hav some faves. I love the Chocolate Bar palette but the smell is too much for me now.

    • You poor thing. lol Each of my pregnancies I was sick well into my 3rd trimester so I can completely understand. When I was pregnant with the twins, I couldn’t even be near food cooking well into the final weeks of me giving birth. My chocolate bar palette smells stronger when it is stored and then I bring it out and bam, I get hit with the scent, so I definitely understand it would not be great for you. lol

The Dark Rum scent sounds divine. I think I may “need” it! Glad to see Enchanted Garnet on your list. I too had Hourglass Blush Trio on my Wish List but I couldn’t find a good photo so I took it off. I want it!!

Awesome picks Honey! A balance of high end and drugstore, love it

    • thank you 🙂 I have to try and include drugstore as much as possible because I find that i am not purchasing high end products as much as before. 🙂

    • thank you 🙂 I know… I’m about $200 shy this year for Rouge so I wasn’t able to buy and hoping I get some extra stash money in the next few days so I can stalk sephora’s site. lol
