Anytime my Husband, Sons and I have some family togetherness is always a plus and last weekend it was no exception. Since my husband had the day off, we spend our Saturday traveling to the Kula Country Farms to choose out the perfect pumpkin to carve. It was a warm day but nonetheless we all had so much fun going through the pumpkin patch and looking at all of the displays.
Choosing the perfect pumpkin is never easy, but we managed to find a pretty awesome one. We always try to find one that is slightly flat on one side and round on the other side. Those tend to be a bit easier to carve. It is also important to make sure and get one where the stem is still well intact so it will be perfect when putting the lid back on top – it’s the pretty factor. lol
The boys enjoyed their time at the Pumpkin Patch. And we had fun looking at all the little crafty attractions that they have set up around the farm.
Going to the Pumpkin Patch has turned into a yearly family tradition with us. If my husband can’t make it, I’ll take the boys – but the last few years my husband’s schedule has allowed us to attend. Hopefully today or tomorrow we will be able to carve our pumpkin. I lost our pumpkin carving tools, so I’m on the hunt for them. 🙂 I hope you are all having time with your Family this Holiday Season!
From our house to yours… Happy Pumpkin carving! <3 ~Honey
