So today is my little sister Harmony’s birthday and since I completely forgot to write about these goodies during my birthday month, I figured I would share them with you today. My birthday is in January, so I have had these for a while and thankfully I photographed them months ago. lol Each year Sephora offers their Sephora Beauty Insiders a birthday gift. The birthday gift changes each year and you usually have till the last day of your birthday month to go to a Sephora store or order online and get your goodies.
This year Sephora’s Beauty Insider gift is a duo of Nars Satin Lip Pencils. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for all or most skin tones and I love how nice they feel on the lips. Today I’m gonna share them with you.
Cruella is a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (Net wt. 0.06 oz / 1.8g) is a red that is absolutely show stopping. We all know that I love reds and this particular red is well named because it reminds me so much of the villain Cruella. It is a matte with a soft velvet feel on the lips – applies evenly and feels great on the lips.
Rikugien is a Satin Lip Pencil (Net wt. 0.05 oz. / 1.7g) that is a wearable shade for every day. This lippy has a gloss look and has a frosted shine to it, but this shade can be used year round and to dress up a basic look. I love that it really is a sweet looking nude without looking too brown.
So signing up as a Beauty Insider is free and each year you have the opportunity to get a fun treat. Last year I got a Make-Up Forever set with a lippy and mascara and the year before that I got a Benefit set with mascara and watt’s up highlighter. You can get your birthday gift by walking into your local Sephora (no purchase required) or online, though you will need to purchase something to have it shipped to you. I definitely think it’s worth it because each year you have the opportunity to try out these minis and have some fun on your birthday.
On my lips (photo above) I’m using Cruella. The wear is nice and as I mentioned, the lippy is comfortable on the lips.
On my lips (photo above) I am using Rikugien on my lips. This lippy has a slight frost sheen to it, but it really doesn’t look as such when I wear it.
Since signing up as a Beauty Insider is free, it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. Check it out and see if this is something you are interested in and treat yourself with a birthday gift each year that is all on Sephora.
Have you signed up yet? What are you waiting for? 😀
