I’m addicted to skin care and serums! Let’s face it, we all should be! Skin care is such an important part of beauty and should be the first thing we learn before putting on makeup, but I wasn’t one of those and eventually after a lot of trial and error, I have found what skin care products work for me and my sensitive skin. Two types of serums I use religiously are Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid Serums. These are important parts of my skin care regimen and I use them daily. Today I bring to you my thoughts on the Joy & Karma Vitamin C Serum and Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I have been using Joy & Karma now for over a year and while I do use other brands from time to time, I find that I still enjoy the quality of their products. So – let’s get chit chatting!
Joy & Karma: Def’n: The act of delivering exceptional natural and/or organic skin care products based on the cosmic principle that the more good things we do for our skin, the more our skin rewards our actions. Or something like that. 😉
At the moment, Joy & Karma offers two skin care serum products – the Vitamin C Serum (retailing for $69.99 – 1 fl.oz, on sale for $17.50 through Amazon) and the Hyaluronic Acid Serum with Vitamin C (retailing for $49.99 – 1 fl.oz.) I have purchased my products from their Amazon store, but you can also stop by their website to order.
The Vitamin C Serum is made with an organic formulation. It has over 72% organic ingredients and isn’t packed with the nasty stuff like parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates and sulfates that are often found in other skin care products. Ingredients included in this product are: Aloe Vera Leaf, MSM which assists body to produce glutathione (antioxidant), Hyaluronic Acid, Witch Hazel and Jojoba Oil.
I have my favorite Vitamin C serums and enjoy using this particular one at night since the citrus scent is not as strong as others. Some of my favorite Vitamin C serums have strong citrus or orange scents which can make it difficult for me to sleep at night because it really livens my senses. This product however is lightly scented and perfect for daily use but for me, especially at night. It is clear in color and more liquid-like in texture in comparison to others I have used before. It applies easily and soaks into the skin quickly which makes my skin care regimen fast since I do not have to wait too long to apply other products. This particular serum can be a bit sticky – but I find that once I put other products on top, it is fine and I do not have a sticky feel thereafter. After using this product over the last year along with my skin care regimen I noticed a decrease in my fine lines and wrinkles and overall I just enjoy this product and brand.
Next we are going to talk about the Joy & Karma Hyaluronic Acid Serum with Vitamin C. I will not go a day without Hyaluronic Acid Serums because my skin needs the extra moisture so having a product I know I can count on it definitely important and ideal for me. This serum is clear in texture and a bit thicker than the Vitamin C Serum. It is 72% Organic and 99% Natural and includes ingredients like Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, MSM, Jojoba Oil, Green Tea, Geranium Essential Oil, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. This is top five of my favorite Hyaluronic Acid serums in my arsenal and I use it in combination with other HA serums that I love and trust. Since my skin is so sensitive and dry often this serum helps to add moisture and keep the moisture locked in. It also has ingredients to help combat free radicals with antioxidant properties and helps stimulate wound healing and reduce inflammation. It doesn’t have a sticky texture and applies nicely on my skin. Since I use this along with other products and serums, I also love that it soaks into my skin quickly so I can continue on my regimen without waiting. Like the Vitamin C Serum, this one does not contain Parabens, Petrochemicals, Silicones, Phthalates, Sulphates, artificial fragrances and colors.
Many people ask me how I can go without foundation or face makeup most of the time or rock out a bare face and my answer to that is simple… “Good skin care!” I’m not getting any younger and at 35 years old, it’s important that I not only care for my skin but keep it looking youthful and products like these are what help me in my journey.
Have you heard of Joy & Karma skin care products before? If so – what are your thoughts on them, if not – would you check them out? Are you a skin care and Hyaluronic Acid addict like me?
