I love starting out the new year by sharing new services with my readers. Today I’m excited to share with you a new service available called ORBY TV Satellite Television. While I’m not able to tell you from my own experience about the service (they are not currently available in Hawaii), I wanted to share information about ORBY TV with all of you. If you’re looking to cut the cord on your television cable service and want to try something new – I have a few things I want to share about ORBY TV and how it differs from your standard cable service.
ORBY TV Satellite Television IS AFFORDABLE
ORBY TV is ONLY $40 a month. That includes taxes and fees and it’s NOT an introductory rate. Yup, you read that correctly – just $40 a month. You will need to buy the equipment and get it installed. But, you own the equipment after that, so you won’t have to pay monthly rental fees that other companies may require. Because the monthly service rates are so cheap, the equipment pays for itself in the first few months. You are literally just piling up savings over time – which is an awesome deal!
There are two different plans that you can choose from as well as additional services available for Orby TV Satellite Television:
- $40 a month (Essentials Package) = 40 channels
- $50 a month (Extras Package) = 60 channels
- Add EPIX (EPIX, EPIX2, EPIX HITS & EPIX DRIVE-IN) for an additional $6/month
- Add STARZ (STARZ, STARZ COMEDY, STARZENCORE, STARZENCORE WESTERNS) for an additional $9/month
LOCAL TV CHANNELS ARE ALWAYS FREE!
Local TV channels are always free with the included antenna. Once the equipment is installed, your local channels (where available) are free, even if you decide not to pay for a package of channels. This particular point got me excited because here in Hawaii with our local cable company, we no longer can run analog television or local channels without paying for a service agreement through the company. ORBY TV satellite television offers that to you, even if you decide you don’t want to continue with their service packages.
NO HIGH-SPEED INTERNET NEEDED
There is no high speed internet needed to use ORBY TV like you would need if you were utilizing streaming services. Because high speed service can often be really expensive or if you only have mobile, ORBY TV is a great choice.
CANCEL AT ANY TIME!
You can easily turn off your package of channels and then turn it back on when you want or need it. You only pay for the service when you want it, through a simple to use app. There are no reactivation fees or cancellation fees. You can cancel at any time! And, you still get your local channels even if you’re not paying for the monthly channel package.
NO CONTRACT / NO CREDIT CHECK
ORBY TV’s service is kind of like a pre-paid phone, but for television. There are no contracts, no credit checks and it’s the perfect service for anyone that is looking for an affordable way to watch television without spending hundreds of dollars a month. There are no rental fees, because again, you own the equipment.
WHAT’S THE SETUP COSTS?
Well, you’ll need to purchase the ORBY TV Hardware. The are available online via Orbytv.com or via stores like Best Buy. It will also be available at Target in March. The hardware will cost approximately $99 (depending on the location, etc.). Once you have the hardware, you’ll need to schedule to have it professional installed. Professional installation costs will be approximately $150. Once that is done, you select the monthly channel package you want and you’re good to go. As I mentioned before, you’ll also have access to free local channels and of course, low-cost programming from then on.
If you’re tired of contracts and teaser rates that skyrocket in a few months, you’ll absolutely enjoy ORBY TV. I love the fact that you don’t need to have a contract signed, because getting stuck in one of those is seriously deadly, lol. And, if you fall on hard times financially or say you just want to save that extra $40 – $50 a month, you can decide to cancel at any time without penalty. You don’t have to worry about feeling like the repo man is coming to pick up your box or your satellite
FORGET BEING FED UP WITH HIGH TV PRICES
ORBY TV is seriously changing how we pay and watch television. They are affordable with a fixed price and high-quality digital satellite television service. ORBY TV newly launched on 1/21/19 so this is the perfect time to check them out and give them a trial run. As soon as they hit Hawaii, I’m positive my family and I will be signing up and installing our own hardware box.
