The boys are back to school and I figured it would be a perfect time to clean out my very very full and packed purse. Are you anything like me where you stuff your bag (or bags) full of stuff and then when you clean it out, it’s a hot mess? Well, that was me, with my two purses… literally – a HOT MESS! So, hang out with me as I clean through my bags and show you what I carry in them. I’m hoping that with the boys back to their grind, that their mommy (that’s me) can also get it together too.
Check out the video where I share with you what’s inside of my purse as well as a little review of a two-piece swimsuit I got from Swimspot.com.
Who and What is SwimSpot?
SwimSpot is a swim and resort wear company that was built around family heritage, quality, and style. It was born on the beaches of Southern California over 50 years ago. Marta was frustrated with poor fitting swimwear that was available in the market and decided she would create her own product. In partnership with her husband, the two built a house of swim, focused on the idea of the perfect fit. Their legacy continued through their daughter Lisa who expanded the portfolio offering a variety of innovative designs, luxurious fabrications, and quality products.
SwimSpot offers a variety of signature styles that include: classic, sophisticated and timeless pieces. While trends come and go, the perfect fitting suit shouldn’t. Without sacrificing the fit – they are able to provide many different swimsuits for many sizes and shapes.
Why Do I Think SwimSpot is So Unique?
What makes SwimSpot so unique to me is that as a plus-size woman, I know all-to-well how difficult it is to find the perfect fit or at least the perfect support for my body type and shape. I fell in love with the styles they offered on their website and the quality of each garment I received felt really nice against my skin.

How Does the SwimSpot Swimsuit Fit?
As many of you have followed my weight-loss journey over the last four years, you may have seen me lose and then gain weight. I blame Covid-19 for contributing to the weight gain, but I digress. Overall, the two pieces fit a bit differently, but not by much so I’ll get into detail outlining that for you.
Amora Blouson Bandini Top
Let me start with the top and the fit. I have the Amora Blouson Bandini Top in Green ($64). This gorgeous bandeau bandini top drapes really nicely and helps hide my tummy area. It has removable soft cups that offer a little protection against nipple display and has such a soft feel against the skin. Tankini style, this can be worn strapless if that is feasible for you or with the included strap to wear around the neck. I would say this top is extremely forgiving and since it has an adjustable hidden shelf bra, it can be used comfortably without any problem. I am a size 38 F (or Triple D) and felt like this top gave me pretty good support, but I did need to use the detachable strap because without an underwire, it did not hold my girls up and in place otherwise.
Size-wise, the Amora Blouson Bandini Top runs a little on the large side. I ordered it in a 12 since I read the reviews and product information prior to ordering. I assumed that by sizing down, it would fit. But, I had the top adjusted to the smallest notch on the band and it was still too big for me. I would at least order one size down if possible but keep in mind if you are larger breasted as I am, you may not have the structure to hold your boobs in place without the strap.
Bella High-Waisted Pant with Tummy Control
The Bella High-Waisted Pant with Tummy Control ($54) is one of Athena’s best-selling bikini bottoms and the most versatile pant in the collection. It features a shirred high waist pant that can sit at the belly button or can be adjusted to roll down to sit on the hips. You decide on the coverage and how you want to wear it. You can mix and match this bottom with a top of your choice and it’s not only comfortable, but like the top, it also feels great on the skin.
The sizing for this bottom is pretty true to the number and it offers moderate rear coverage, which is a plus for me. Did I mention that it was comfortable? I ordered a size 14 for this bottom and it fit me perfectly.

If you’re on the hunt for a new swim outfit, I highly suggest heading on over to SwimSpot.com to check out their selection. Between a variety of new arrivals, many different styles to choose from, and a selection of coverups and shorts, you can’t go wrong. The styles are perfect for anyone and I’m pretty positive you can find something that you’ll not only enjoy, but you’ll love.
