Stretch Marks? Come on now… after giving birth to three children – 2 of which are twins, to say I have a few zebra stripes on my belly would be an understatement.  Having worked in the plastic surgery field a few years I do know a thing or two about taking care of my skin, but that doesn’t mean that stretch marks are not going to find their way creeping onto areas consistently.  Besides my tummy since I’m quite blessed in the upper half of my body as well, you can find a few stretch marks there as well.  I use a number of different creams as well as oils and always interested in checking out new brands and products that may help my scars and stretch marks a little.  The last month I’ve been testing out the InstaNatural Stretch Mark and Scar Cream and using it in combination with other products I already have in my body cream arsenal.  Here are my thoughts on this product.

InstaNatural Stretch Mark Cream

First of all – let’s start with the size of the bottle.  For just $35.00 you get 5 oz of product which will last you a long time.  Even if used according to the directions – which is to apply twice a day, you still have enough product for a thirty day supply or more depending on the amount of product that you dispense and the area size that you are applying it to.

InstaNatural Stretch Mark & Scar Cream

The cream is a different texture than I would have expected.  It’s cream-like but still feels almost like a mousse and when applied to the skin, it smooths out and applies like a lotion.  The amount you see in the photo above is all I use to cover my entire stomach region.  The product does have a light lotion type scent though I couldn’t pinpoint the exact scent.

I really enjoy the pump that the container has.  I dispense the correct amount of product each time.  I’ll be honest in saying that InstaNatural is really good at their dispensing of product on their packaging for various different serums, creams, etc. so I didn’t expect anything otherwise from them.

I apologize for not sharing any photos of before and after – but I was not quite comfortable doing so.  I can tell you that while I didn’t notice drastic results I did definitely notice lightening of some of my stretch marks on my belly – they are not as dark as before.  I think this is a plus considering these stretch marks are from many years ago.  With the price point, ease of use and the fact that my skin did not have any allergic reactions, I definitely think this is a product I know I will continue to use.  I’ll be sure to stop by and provide an update after I’ve been using it for a while and maybe then I will be more confident in sharing my photos, because I did take them :)

What are your favorite scar or stretch mark creams to use on your body – if you use them?

Signature Honey

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. Are stretch marks something you have to treat as you’re getting them? I’ve heard people mention that you should rub different types of oils (and Vitamin E I think?) into your belly when you’re pregnant and afterwards to fight them.

    • stretch marks can in some cases be prevented… in my case, I used cocoa butter, vitamin E and coconut oil to help before I even got stretch marks, but I’ve been told that it also has a lot to do with your skin too. Even if I did everything to prevent it, my tummy couldn’t handle being stretched that far I guess… I didn’t gain any weight but in my stomach. I have used various vitamin E products through the years and notice a slight lightening… but still. I think once I notice more results over the next month I’ll be more comfortable showing my befores knowing my afters are looking good. lol

I like InstaNatural products, but not sure that anything works on stretch marks after the fact. But certainly worth a try.

    • I have used products on my skin before stretch marks to help prevent, but it still didn’t stop it. Then having the twins, over 10lbs of babies in my tummy really took its toll. I have noticed a dramatic lightening over the years with creams and oils I have been using – but I also am realistic in knowing it will never go away unless I have an abdominoplasty.

My md told me to love my stretch marks because there’s nothing that can be done about them.

What an interesting texture! Does it contain ingredients like cocoa butter and vitamin e? Those seem to be used in many stretch mark creams.

    • I know – the texture weirded me out. Oops, I realized that with my site acting weird I left out the ingredients… I’ll update them – but yes, it does have Vitamin E

I had a feeling that it might. The texture is kind of tripping me out, and can only imagine how it did for you when you tried it for the first time!

I hope you continue to see results with this – maybe it is something that works best over a period of time?

Love the pump packaging- hopefully you see more results with use.

    • me too 🙂 I’m gonna continue to use the next few months and see if I see a difference. I’ll post an update.

I think that keeping skin very hydrated helps to improve the appearance of stretch marks. 🙂

    • yes… though in my case – not so much when I was pregnant. I tried to prevent them with everything and anything and never scratched my belly when it was itchy. I have learned to embrace them… can’t feel too self conscious in my 2 piece swimsuit. lol

  8. I have some instanatural products on their way, can’t wait to try!!

  9. I have stretch marks, too, and nowhere near your good reason for having them! Lol. I’m testing a cream from Body Merry right now for scars and stretch marks. I’m hoping to see some lightening, too.

Luckily I don’t have any stretch marks, but I have plenty of scars from basal cell carcinomas.

Glad to see your website is back to normalcy. I don’t use anything at all for my stretch marks. I just embrace ’em

    • not quite yet girly… the homepage is still broken, but at least I can still post… thank goodness. I hope I can fix everything else soon – it’s so stressful. Girl, I try to embrace them as much as I can… but I always love trying new stuff 😉

    • lol – yes, tiger stripes because they must hear us roar. 😉 It’s not truly back, lots of glitching and I can’t use my homepage, but at least I can still post and share those links. lol Err… such a horrible situation I would not wish on my worst enemy.

      • Praise God that your site is healed, whole, and complete. Nothing shall by any means hurt you. What the enemy intended for evil the Lord turned into good!

  12. Oh lord I can’t share my before/afters either so don’t feel any pressure for that. I think if I had seriously amazing results that got rid of every bit of fat, dimple and stretch mark I would consider showing before/afters. Haha

    • I have posted some odd photos for before and afters before… but lately, I think I’ve just been feeling really frumpy.

  13. I could totally use something for my stretch marks right about now!
