Summer is in full swing now a days… it’s hot and humid here in Hawaii and man, cooling off and hydrating is the best way to keep from all this heat.  My eldest son recently finished up his basketball season for the year, and let me just say – it was a tough one.  With our weather experiencing major heat and then he having to run around in the gym on the court, it really took its toll.  Recently, my family and I have had the opportunity to try HFACTOR Hydrogen water and today we share our thoughts with all of you.

Over the last few months, my family and I has started drink HFACTOR Hydrogen Rich Water.  We chill the water to make it cold – it tastes best that way.  Each water comes with its own straw so it makes it easy to drink on the go or where ever you need a quench of your thirst.  Drinking the water – you don’t taste much of a difference than your standard bottled water, but after the first sip – you almost feel immediately hydrated.  Honestly, my son described it as you feel like you were dipped into a swimming pool or cool stream and your body was instantly cooled down and refreshed.  I drank the water for the first time on a really hot day and felt like I drank a whole gallon of water – because my thirst was quenched, but I felt so cool and hydrated.

If you are a runner – you would absolutely love this water.  I will drink one of these after a workout and immediately notice a difference.  It is great for muscles as well and really helps with recovery.  I noticed that after a workout, I don’t often get much swelling and pain, if any at all and the only change I made to my supplements or diet has been the HFACTOR water.  An increase in energy and overall wellness. But, this is more than just a workout or sports drink.  My beauty lovers out there, Hydrogen-rich water can be so much more for your beauty routine.  I have noticed an improvement in my skin’s texture as well as my Eczema.  My flare ups have not been as consistent and my absorption for my skin for skin care products has been so much better than before.  I also struggle with my heart health and this is a drink that I have really loved to help with my blood pressure.  I’m no doctor, but seeing the difference in how my body and my family’s bodies are working, makes me a believer.

My favorite way to use this scrub is while I’m giving myself a manicure or when my hands need a little TLC.  This polish rubs nicely over my sensitive hands and sloths away all the dry skin – leaving my hands feeling wonderfully soft and moisturized.

It’s perfect on days when I need to push back my cuticles or just need a little love if I’ve been washing dishes and my hands are dry.  I love that it instantly works to leave my hands feeling soft and smelling great.

So let’s chit chat about two products I was able to try out from Canada The Store.  The first product is Jakeman’s Pure Canadian Maple Syrup.  The product retails for $11.95 CAD with 250 mL / 8.5 fl.oz. worth of product.  It is a bottle of the 100% Pure Canadian Maple Syrup produced by Jakeman’s and voted Canada’s best tasting Maple Syrup in the National Post.  Now, we love pancakes in our house hold and I love maple candy, so I knew I would easily fall in love with this product.  It’s delicious and rich in color with a distinct maple flavor.  If you have ever tried fresh maple syrup before, this is what it would remind me of… it has a warm, rich flavor that really stands out among other syrups.  This product is great served over breakfast foods (like pancakes or with some sausage and bacon) or used as a glaze on meats or dessert.  I especially love the thickness of this syrup and it would be perfect to glaze a ham with.  I’ve tried many types of maple syrups before and this would have to be my favorite – it’s delicious!

Since I love Maple candy, I couldn’t wait to open up this jar of Canadian True Maple Tea.  When the box arrived at my house, I could smell the tea from the outside of it – it smells absolutely wonderful.  The Canadian True Maple Tea comes in a 3 Pack for $26.95 CAD.  I’m a tea drinker daily so I was very excited to try this tea out.  Each container (you get three of them) comes with 25 Tea Bags so I shared one with my dad since he is my tea drinking aficionado.

Canada True’s unique flavorful Maple Tea is idea for serving to guest or to give as a special gift.  It is Pure Premium Ceylon Tea with a Nature Identical Canadian Maple Syrup Flavor.  The Teas are packed in Sri Lanka and this tea offers a bold tea flavor with a beautiful and fragrant sweet scent.  Immediately upon opening the box I could smell a sweet vanilla or maple syrup scent coming from the box and it was coming from the tea.  This is a wonderful tea to have with your breakfast or for tea time with biscuits.  It’s hearty in flavor but taste wonderful and I love the sweet perfume that comes from my cup.  I add a little bit of coconut milk or creamer and that is all I need to drink this tea.  I love and my dad absolutely loved the flavor of it as well.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t think that I would write about these, but since I already filmed the video review and it’s been sitting in my Que for release for a few weeks now, I figured that I would write one anyway.  My opinions haven’t changed since first trying these lippies and I doubt that they will.  Let’s get on with it – shall we?  Today I’m talking to you about the Wet n Wild Color Icon Metallic Liquid Lipsticks from the Limited Edition Lost in the Wild Flowers collection.

The Wet n Wild Color Icon Metallic Liquid Lipsticks from the Lost in the Wild Flowers collection showed up in my local Walgreens about a month (or more) ago and I found four shades available.  The display was quite picked through so I’m not quite sure if there are more colors available, but I picked up what my Walgreens had and I was really excited to get my hands on them.  Retailing for just $3.99 these metallic liquid lipsticks were a part of a limited edition collection that included nail polishes and some blush and highlighters (or that is what I seen in the display) and I decided I would only pick up the lipsticks.

Now this new craze of metallic liquid lipsticks seem to be hitting quite a few companies and brands as they are being released all over the internet and you may have already seen different brands like Kylie Jenner and Milani – even ColourPop recently released a set of them.  I was quite excited to try one that was affordable.  After bringing the four shades home with me, I immediately began to swatch each one.

The packaging is adorable and I love how small it is while still packing in a good amount of product.  The doe foot applicator is also quite nice.  It has a slight dip in the applicator allowing you to apply the product to your lips easily and ensuring the product hugs your lips to create shape.  It reminds me of the Jordana Sweet Cream liquid lipstick applicator which I talk about in this post here.  The only difference is that the one from Wet n Wild, the applicator is a little more on the fluffier side, but it still makes applying the product a breeze.

If you are looking for a lip product that is much like a gloss, you may like this particular lippy.  This reminds me of a glittery gloss with a similar texture.  It’s kind of odd to me to be honest and applying it on my lips – while the colors are pigmented, it looked weird and felt uncomfortable.  This is not a liquid lipstick texture I would prefer.  It reminds me of a gel like lip gloss formula with shimmer and metallic flecks.

Longevity… I couldn’t say that these lasted AT ALL.  They kiss off very easily and drinking or eating anything really left a mess behind.  While they do have nice pigment and color, I hate that when I wipe it off my lips, it leaves that metallic shimmer behind which settles into the fine lines and cracks in my lips.  It’s unattractive and really emphasizes all those lines on my lips whether at it’s full pigmentation or faded.  I also haven’t seen any other colors available in this line and while I’m not a fan, maybe a different color selection would make for a different opinion.  All of the shades have a blue base to them, which is not my favorite to wear – especially if they have a shimmer or metallic look to them.

 

Since they are so affordable, I think they would definitely be a great topper for a matte lipstick or something fun to wear.  They oddly remind me of my childhood – which by the way, I am a child of the 80s and a teen of the 90s, so that says a lot about the shade range and finish.  While I was able to apply the lip products and get color from them, there is a lot of streaky color application and sometimes I felt like I was applying more and more but rubbing off color at the same time.  While these are cheap, unless you have something fun planned for them – I don’t think they would be used well for every day or even special occasions.  I have had MANY Wet n Wild lippies over the years and these definitely made the “eh” list because I have them so I’ll try to make use of them, but I’m not a fan and don’t think I will be.  If I had to absolutely choose one out of the whole bunch, I think “Coming Up Roses” – the darkest shade in the bunch, would probably be my favorite – though, I wouldn’t exactly use the word “favorite”.  One I know I would be able to make use of is the purple shade – Indigo Your Own Way.  When it comes to the metallic part in that particular lipstick, it lends for the glitter to be more wearable then the rest.

In the packaging, these look like absolutely beautiful colors and I think they are… but for me personally, I think they just were not the right fit.  At under $4.00 each – the price point is nice and I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to make use of them.  Have you tried these yet and if so, what are your thoughts?  If you haven’t, do you think you’ll be checking any of these out.

I have always been a fan of Wet n Wild and I’m really enjoying their new releases I’ve seen hitting the stores lately, but this particular set I think could use some improvements.  Texture, longevity and overall formulation could use some changes and are certainly to be desired.  While this is my opinion of these liquid lipsticks from Wet n Wild, that doesn’t change my general opinion of the brand, and I do still enjoy what WnW offers.

This grill brush has stainless steel bristles that wrap all the way around the top giving you better cleaning angles and longer lasting durability.  What I love is that it’s easy to hold which makes cleaning your grill easy to do and control and hold are easy because of the angle of the brush.  The handle and clip is very heavy duty and keeps all 3 brushes tight together for maximum cleaning power or all different types of grill plates and the bristles are safe for use on porcelain.
