Did you guys take advantage of the QVC’s Special Value yesterday?  The Tarte Bow & Go set was on sale for Special Value at just $49.98 plus shipping and handling.  Such a steal considering all that you would receive in this kit.  Those of you that did not take advantage of it – that’s okay – because it is still on sale on QVC for just $54.98 – which is a steal even if you it is $5.00 more.  The regular price will be $61.00 once the discount ends.

Ipsy has definitely been an awesome subscription this past year.  I have been subscribed to Ipsy now for a year and while there are some months where I am a little unhappy with some of the products, each bag definitely has been well worth the cost.  For just $10.00 a month – you get to try out products from a wide variety – both high end as well as drug store products.  You get 4-5 products, some of which are full sized and some deluxe samples and you get a cute makeup bag to accompany the products.  Is it worth it?  Why don’t see what I think about it in the Video embedded below as well as my price break down.  021 copy

Product Price Break down:

I received at least 3 Full Sized products in my Glam Bag this month – I’m still uncertain if the Be A Bombshell lip crayon is full sized.  Total in full sized products equals $42.00 in retail value.  Everything else is just a bonus honestly.  Ipsy is definitely worth the monthly cost.  Check out my reveal video as well as first impressions and swatches for some of the items below.

{I do receive points which I can use towards product freebies on their site if you click on my link and subscribe to Ipsy.  I do not receive any monetary payment for you signing up.  I pay for my Ipsy glam bags each month out of my own pocket – this is not a sponsored review or post.}

Eeek… Are you a VIB for Sephora and have you been watching the website like a hawk as I have the last few days?  I have been watching the items that I have on my “love” list the last few days trying to decide what I wanted to pick up without spending such a psychotic amount of money when I check out.  Let’s face it… I know I’m not the only one.  I seriously took on major stalker status the last 2 days… but I placed my order earlier today (thanks to my hubby) and can’t wait for my order to arrive.

I had quite a few expensive items on my list… and some of my favorites sold out from right under me in a matter of minutes of me adding it to my shopping cart – like the Hourglass Ambient Palette.  So I have to wait for that to be back in stock again (hopefully).  I also missed out on the Laura Mercier Artists Pro Palette (again) and I know I probably won’t see if back again before the holidays.  I missed out on the first palette last year too.  It’s my fault, I always think it will be there and rather not spend my money on it right away. lol

So here is my initial Wish List.  I did pick up a few from the list which I am so excited to try.

I ordered the following items:

Too Faced Joy To the Girls Palette

Too Faced A Few of My Favorite Things

I also got an Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick and the Buxom 15 Set Mini Lippies

The other items will stay on my “Loves” list until I decide they are important enough for me to get or until I actually see them come back into stock.  I am pretty happy with myself though… because it is pretty difficult for me to actually walk away from Makeup.  After placing my order today – I made a mental note that I need to truly behave.  After the purchase of the Kat Von D Spellbinding Palette and the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette, I think I am done for the rest of the year… or at least, I’m going to do my best to try.

Are you a VIB?  If so use code: VIBTOPIA at check out to get 20% off your order or head on over to a Sephora near you.

What is on your list to buy or your Holiday wishlist?  I would love to know.

Holiday months are when I try to pick up most of my makeup items for the year – because gift sets, etc. are usually on sale.  I don’t have a huge haul for all of you but a collective one from October and the beginning of November.  Have you tried any of these products?  Check it out and let me know what you think.  I will try to have reviews up of some of the makeup items soon.

About a month ago I received the Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa ($25.00, 6.7 fl oz) by cashing in my ifabbo coins.  When it comes to skin care products or scrubs, I tend to be a little hesitant to try the products because of my very sensitive eczema skin, but I was still a bit excited to test out the product since Volcanic type products are popular here in Hawaii.

This product is said to be a true beauty treatment for the skin having extracted micronutrients from volcanic rocks that are essential and vital to the cells in the skin.  I was excited but still a little worried at how my skin would react.  Even more so, I was worried that a friend of mine who had tried the same product did not like the results she received after using it on her face… it was just too much for her skin to handle.  After finding this out – I decided that I would test it out on a small area on my jar line.  My face did not like the product at all and in fact, it was just to abrasive for my skin on my face.  I decided that I would try to test out on areas on my body that I knew were a little drier and not as sensitive as my face was.

I tested the product on my elbows and on my heels of my feet.  It worked well… exfoliating those parts of my body without out being too abrasive for them.  It left those areas fairly moisturized and removed dead skin which worked perfectly.  I will not use this on my face, but it still has a use for me.  Being from Hawaii, I expected something with “Volcanic Rocks” to have a more natural scent to it – but it actually smells like a strong lotion.  It’s not completely off putting, but it is stronger than what I had thought I would be smelling.  My formal opinion would be that you test this product somewhere on your body that is a little tougher than your facial area especially if you have sensitive skin as I do.  But, all in all – it exfoliates well, especially for my feet.
