Hotter Neon Shoes

I had the opportunity to try out a pair from the Neon Collection in Khaki.  Currently there are two other colors available – black and aqua (in this collection).  One pair of shoes retails for $119 but are on sale right now for $59 (major steal).  Now when I ordered my pair, I ordered a size 9, which is what I wear normally to ensure I’m not buying a new pair of shoes in a month.  When the shoes arrived, they were pretty loose, but they are still comfortable and easy to wear.  If you have been following me for a while, you’ll know that I have a wide range of different types of kicks… from Under Armour to Sketches and Converse and I’m really happy to add these to my collection.  I love that they are super comfortable.  The fact that Hotter stresses their comfortable aspect made me wonder how comfortable they really are… and I was amazed.  Having worked in the medical field for a while, I have tried on some nurses shoes and thought they were comfy (though not necessarily meeting my cute and hot factor), and these would be perfect shoes for someone who is on their feet for long hours.

If you use heat tools on your hair often, I think this product would definitely be beneficial for your hair.  While I do not use heat on my hair (it’s a rare occasion), I have noticed that while my hair has been getting a lot of sun exposure since it is Summer time, my hair is not as frizzy or as dry as it can be.  I like to apply this elixir to my hair right out of the shower while my hair is still wet or damp and then put my hair into my Turbie Twist to let it dry.  My hair is soft, manageable and has lots of shine.  I love that my hair doesn’t appear oily and even more so, I think it’s great that my holy grail coconut oil is already in this potion, so I don’t need to add coconut oil separately.

After using this product for a month – my hair feels much softer and easier to comb through.  I am very careful with the amount I apply as it can sometimes be a little too much oil for my thin hair, but my curls love it and used in combination with my other favorite hair care products, they all seem to work together harmoniously.  If you have thin hair as I do, I suggest that you not use it as a leave-in conditioner, but more as a treatment you apply before heat or one you would use after your normal shampoo/conditioner routine.  A little goes a long way – so I just use a little and work the product into my ends and on the rest of my hair – but not so much as to saturate it like you would a leave in.

A product that is made of vegetable capsules and contains zero fillers means that you are getting a great supplement for your money.  Taken accordingly you should be able to see results in as little as 2 weeks, which is a shorter time frame than most “hair growth” supplements on the market.  After using this product for about 2 months, I didn’t notice hair growth, anything additional than what my hair normally grows – however, I did notice that my nails grew faster than they had previously.  I have cut my nails down super short at least 4 times in the last 2 months and noticed that my nails grew back very quickly.  While my hair didn’t have any visible growth, I did notice that areas where I had patchy spots like near the temples of my head where I had small receding did fill in a little and is not as visible as before.  But again – I didn’t notice anything with regards to actual length in my hair, though everyone is different and your experience with this product could be very different from mine.

My hair did get stronger with use which is a great deal to me… since having children (especially after the birth of my twins), my hair shed a lot and it has been hard to get it back to normal.  While my hair is not necessarily back to what it was when I was in my teens, I do notice the added strength.  Also – with the added growth of my nails, it also means that trimming them more often is important to keep them from ripping.  Sometimes people don’t realize that they are actually weakening their hair or nails by allowing them to go without trims or manicures.  So, even with the growth and strength from the product, without a hair trim or a nail trim or manicure, you may think the product is not working because the original damage that was there previously continues up your hair shaft or in your nails – into the nail bed, and therefore you are not seeing results.  I have my “tips for growing healthy and long hair” video and blog post coming up soon that will touch base a little more on those areas soon.

Overall I’m impressed with this Biotin supplement.  After reading a ton of reviews on other products similar as well as price points, the price of this product is pretty reasonable for the amount of product you are receiving.  If you are looking for a little help with your hair, skin and nails – I would surely check out this particular brand and product and see if it is right for you. I do have a few notations for you… make sure you consume a good amount of water when taking your capsule and while I didn’t notice any adverse reactions with my skin or any benefits in general – I did get a pimple here and there.  I have been told by my doctor that it could be the Biotin supplement as any supplement including Biotin could cause something similar.  While it didn’t cause me acne or a bad break out – I did get one or two pimples now and then through the course of the treatment.  And, last but not least – this post is my opinion, experience and results after taking this product and I am in no way a doctor or physician that can and is providing medical advice.  I seen my doctor prior to taking this pill and suggest you do so too.
