We all know I’m all about great skin care and it is not an easy task to say the least.  Taking care of your skin has a lot to do with the type of products you choose, how clean and hygienic you are and of course… genes.  Though some of those things are enough – many factors can lead into good or bad skin care, even our environment and what we put into our body can cause issues.  Because of these reasons, I’m consistently on top of my skin care regimen to the best of my ability.  I completely stopped using certain products like foundation and have been using other products like serums to really hydrate and care for my skin.  Skin care products are my thing – they are my jam – they are required in my beauty routine and I’m always excited to try out new ones.  Today I bring to you my thoughts on some products – 180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Acid Serum + Vitamin C and 180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Acid Serum + Oxygen.  I have never tried these brands before but I’m always excited to share with you so here it goes.

180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Acid Serums

Let’s start with the 180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum + Oxygen ($89.89 – on sale for $17.49 now).  This serum comes with 15 mL/0.5oz worth of product which is quite a hefty cost for the amount you get.  I absolutely love the gold details and frosted bottle for the packaging and I was very excited to try this product.  Formulated with the highest quality hyaluronic acid – this product is designed to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.  It is also formulated to help deliver abundant moisture and oxygen to the skin to help preserve your skin’s elasticity, suppleness and youthful appearance.  This serum contains powerful antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals and is formulated without: Formalin, Formaldehyde, Phthalates, Petro-Chemicals, GMO, Triclosan, Fragrance and colors or dyes.

Using this product is simple.  Like with most serums, it comes with a dropper which makes using the product easy.  I apply a few drops to my hands and then apply to my face and neck while gently massaging in circular motions.  I wait until this product is fully absorbed before applying any other serums or facial creams and apply it day and night.  Overall – this product ran out pretty quickly since it is a small amount, but I found my skin felt hydrated and smooth.  The product soaks into my skin so quickly and easily, and I’m able to complete my beauty regimen quickly.  There is literally no scent to this serum and it is NOT sticky at all.  When applied to the skin, it soaks right in without issue and I love that it is clear.  It literally feels like water against my skin and I LOVE IT!  My skin is very sensitive and I haven’t had any issues with this product. It feels wonderful against my skin.

180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Acid Serums

The 180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum + Vitamin C (retails for $93.49 – but on sale NOW for $14.98) has 15mL/0.5 oz worth of product (the same as the other serum) and the same type of packaging.  I think the packaging in itself is a huge seller for me on both – I love it.  This serum is formulated with the highest concentration of pure Swiss hyaluronic acid and accelerates skin’s self-repairing process.  It preserves skin’s elasticity and youthful tone and since it is enriched with Vitamin C it helps to smooth your skin making it supple and moisturized.  This serum nourishes the skin and boosts hydration.  I love that it is formulated without Formalin, Formaldehyde, Parabens, Phthalates, Petro-chemicals, GMO, Triclosan and colors or dyes.  This serum is also good for all skin types and worked well on my sensitive skin.

Just like the other serum, it is also clear and has no scent which was a little different for me since most of the Vitamin C serums I have used include a citrus like fragrance.  It’s not sticky at all – though a tad bit thicker than the Oxygen serum… and I mean a tad as it is still liquid like and feels almost like water against the skin.  It soaks into the skin nicely and quickly and feels like nothing at all once the product has soaked in.  Like the Oxygen serum, this one also didn’t last me long with daily use.  I find that I use one in the morning (the Vitamin C serum) and then the Oxygen one at night so it makes the product last longer.  I LOVE that this serum is so easy to work with and makes my beauty regimen smooth and effortless.

At the price that these serums are at right now, I plan to pick up a bunch and back ups since they are on sale.  I have used many many serums over the years and these literally feel so great against my skin – I love it!  Seriously, I don’t often say “love” about any or many products but after just a few uses, I found that this product really has become a favorite and used in combination with other favorites, it has become a love.  The retail price of these serums is pretty hefty so I probably would have a hard time keeping up with the regimen at that cost – but on sale, yes – I would buy it without a doubt.  Since the product itself is very concentrated, a little goes a long way – which helps since the size of the product is a bit on the smaller side.  I also love a product that works instantly and really brightens up my complexion while helping to keep my dry skin moisturized.  Overall – I definitely suggest these serums, in a heartbeat.  And, this Hyaluronic Acid addict thinks is awesome!

Happy Wednesday. Hope you are all having a great day.

Have you heard of this brand before? Would you spend that kind of money on a product of that size, even if it worked?

Argan Oil is such an important part of my skin care regimen.  Used with my coconut oil, Argan Oil helps to keep my skin hydrated and soft.  I have used many types of Argan Oil products in the past and continue to have my favorite brands but I’m always excited and happy to try new brands and Jaowying Beauty is no exception.  Recently I have been using the Jaowying Beauty Organic Argan Oil in my beauty routine.  This product is multi-purpose in that it can be used for the hair, face, skin and nails.  I have been using this product daily to help moisturize my face and my cuticles and have been enjoying it quite a bit.

Jaowying Beauty Organic Argan Oil for Hair, Face, Skin & Nails

Jaowying Beauty Argan Oil comes in a 4 fl.oz bottle with a dropper which makes it easy to use and dispense.  Retailing for just $19.95 you receive a lot of product for the price point and I love that this Argan Oil is not diluted as it is 100% pure and organic.  Bottled in the United States, Jaowying Beauty Argan Oil is cruelty free and certified organic using virgin cold-pressed argan oil (Argania Spinosa).

This oil is colored the same as other oils I have used.  It looks amber in color and has the normal argan oil scent.  It is free of artificial fragrances and while I’m not a fan of the scent of argan oil, I find that this one is not strong which makes it tolerable for me to use.  Since I have sensitive and dry skin, I use this oil to hydrate and moisturize my skin and love how my skin feels the next day.  My face is left soft, glowing and moisturized.  I have used this product in my hair and on my scalp and it also moisturizes well like other argan oils I have tried before.

I’m impressed with the size of the bottle for the price.  You can’t beat the price with this particular product because a 4 oz bottle will literally last me a few months, versus a month with the standard argan oil size you can purchase.  My husband also uses this product after he shaves and while we don’t use it to massage often, we do pull it out when we want to get a nice deep tissue massage.  One of my favorite treatments of argan oil is pimples or acne treatment.  I don’t get breakouts often but when I do they can definitely take charge of my face and argan oil along side my coconut oil help to treat the acne, heal and moisturize the areas so that those pesky pimples are not around for long.

This particular brand of oil absorbs very quickly, which I love.  I don’t have to worry about waiting for it to soak into my skin during the day if I decide I want to moisturize with oil.  While they say it is fragrance free, I can still smell the argan scent, but I’m sensitive to smell.  I’m really enjoying this product and I definitely think I’ll continue to use it in my skin care routine.

NOTHING TO DISCLOSE

When I was in my 20s, I remember thinking… “drat, my 30s are just a few years away!”  It’s not that I was afraid of getting older, but I always assumed that my life couldn’t get any better than 20.  Boy was I wrong, because my “Dirty Thirties” came into my life and I’ve been loving and enjoying it!  Now that I’m 35, I have learned so much about who I am as a person and kind of embraced my love for life, instead of always wondering about what others were thinking of me.  With my knowledge of proper skin care and techniques, I am happy to say that I am not only happy in the skin I’m in, but also excited to be the age I am.  However, if I had to turn back the clock – there would be some things I wish people would share and divulge with me to prep for my thirties.  There are 5 Things No One Tells You About Turning 35 and while each person may have their list of things, here is mine.

no makeup selfie

How’s my no makeup selfie? (pictured above)  Let me be straight up and honest with you – if you live with me, near me or know me, this is my every day look.  I leave the house like this to go shopping, run errands and everything in between.  Hair in a bun, bare face (with exception to my serums, moisturizer, SPF, lip balm) and a hoodie or t-shirt.  Unless I really feel like dressing up or have some place special to be, besides Mascara and some form of lip product, this really is my every day all day!  Five or more years ago, you couldn’t catch me leaving the house if I didn’t at least have a powder or mineral foundation on.  I was not only self conscious of who I was and how I looked, I also would have constant breakouts.  Which leaves me to my #1 thing no one tells you about turning 35.

1.  Embrace your skin – love your skin – take care of your skin.  A few years ago I wore foundation often, eye makeup, primers, etc. for years before I was diagnosed with severe Eczema in 2013 and was told by my Dermatologist that I was not taking care of my skin.  “Not taking care of my skin?” I said, “How is that even possible?  I use all the best products on the market today!”  I didn’t realize that the cosmetics I used on my skin to hide my imperfections were causing my reactions and I was breaking out and having flare ups because of it.  Now two years later, foundation free, and I’m happy to say that besides my little break outs from my monthly friend, my skin looks good and feels great.  Skin care really is EVERYTHING to me and while I don’t necessarily invest in all the expensive products (I don’t find the need to sometimes), I find that as much love that I put into my skin care routine and my skin, the more love I get back from it in return.

plus size fashion

After having three kids, two of which are twins – every part of my body went array and even five years later of a consistent battle with my weight, I can honestly say I will never get back to that size 8, 125 lbs. that I used to be.  While it saddens me sometimes, I know that my size doesn’t define who I am as a person and I’m still proud of who I am.  My number two thing that no one told me about being 35…

2.  Society does not define who you are as a person – YOU do!  I have always been the type of person that considered myself a leader, but after having my children and putting on my weight, I did feel a little insecure.  Let’s face it – who doesn’t?  I’m constantly working on my body and being healthy, but I’m doing it for ME, not for society, not for people who think I need to lose weight and certainly not for any other reason but to be healthy and happy.  I walk or run two miles a day, five days a week and feel GREAT.  I’m still a plus sized gal, with scars from my stretch marks, surgeries and thunder thighs that would stop traffic, but I feel good.  The stereotype of being a plus size girl no longer bugs or bothers me.

glam makeup look

3.  Embrace Your Inner Glam Whenever and Wherever.  Red lips?  Smoky eyes?  I think that if you are feeling a glam look that day, even if you are just rocking it out around the house, do it!  I remember being told in my 20s that using makeup is all about going to the club (mind you I live in a small town and hardly anyone dressed up), but that is not the case… wear it when you feel like it.  I went to the grocery store using a red lipstick and bold winged liner and was asked by the cashier if I was going somewhere special.  My response:  “Yeah, to pick up my son from school!” Red lips are not just for the red carpet.  Like a smoky eye, red lips are used whenever and where ever you feel like it.  Embrace your inner Glam Diva.

bold makeup selfies

4.  Bold, Colorful Makeup is Beautiful!  Makeup is a form of expression, creativity and whatever else you want to call it.  I posted a look a few weeks ago where I had been wearing Barbie Pink lips and neon eyeliner (pictured above – lower right) and was told that it looked great.  Sometimes, while a neutral makeup look or none at all is my choice for every day – I love to pull out the bright bold lip colors and eye shadows that I love.  Purple lips?  Bold, colorful smoky eyes? Candy Yum Yum Neon Lips?  They are okay to use and have fun with.  Makeup is about self expression and art!  It’s fun, funky and I like to wear it now and then.

beauty at any age

5.  Wrinkles, Gray Hair (oh – did I mention I have both of those?) and anything else which would normally define age, does not make you any less beautiful.  YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON – EMBRACE IT!  Due to some crazy genes, I started to develop gray hair in my early twenties (if not sooner) and since I was a smoker in my late teens, early 20s (so glad I quit at 24), I developed wrinkles – but that doesn’t mean that I am any less beautiful.  Sometimes we forget that beauty is at any age, any body type, any skin type, any person and we put so much pressure on ourselves to be the best.  The truth is, we are all beautiful – no matter what.  Our lives and futures are not determined by how we look or what we put on, but the impression we make in people’s lives and the path and legacy we leave behind.

“When I leave this World, I want to be remembered as the person who made everyone feel great about themselves and the one that gave them inspiration to persevere, not just the person who taught them how to do a smoky eye.” – Honey

My legacy would be that you don’t have to give up anything.  You can be chic but have a sense of humor, you can be sexy but comfortable, you can be timeless but fresh. – Michael Kors

So what does beauty mean to you at your age?  What tips would you give yourself if you could turn back the hands of time?  Stop on by and check out my dear loves from The Beauty Blogger Collaboration and see what they have to say about Beauty at any age.

I absolutely love masks!  I think that masks offer me my own littler personal spa day when applying them and I also love what they do for my skin.  I have tried many many brands, types and price points when it comes to them and have a list of favorites I can turn to when ever I’m looking for some extra pampering.  Borghese Fango Mud Masks have become a favorite of mine now over the last few months and used in combination with my regular skin care line, they have been great on my skin.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks

The Fango line from Borghese is a popular one.  I have been talking with friends that have tried the brand before and each of them have said that they love the Fango line.  This particular line offers seven different masks that provide everything from skin tightening, lightening, cleansing and even brightening.  The line also includes serums, hydration mists and other products to assist with your skin care routine.  Each product can be used for a variety of purposes and I love that most if not all of the masks come in two different sizes to accommodate your pocket book and your needs.  Here are three that I have been able to try out and my thoughts on each.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks

Fango Active Mud for Face and Body (17.6 oz/430 ml – $72.50) can be used for both your face and your body.  This cleansing mud mask reminds me of mud with it’s deep army green color but works really nicely for my body and parts of my face.  You apply it on your clean skin – packing it on thickly and avoiding your eye and mouth area.  Allow it to sit for about 2-5 minutes (but do not allow the product to dry).  Remove with a wet sponge or rinse with cool water.  You can apply this mask once a week, but it can be a little too dry for me to use that often, so I use it once every two weeks.  I enjoy using this on my knees, elbows and on the areas I feel I have the largest pores.  This is the mask I use more to treat problem areas or spot treat so that it adds hydration and reduces fine lines (like around my nose).  Infused with Sweet Almond and Avocado Oils, this mud mask detoxifies and does away with dull skin, leaving the skin radiant and refreshed.  If you like that clean refreshed feeling – you’ll enjoy this mask.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks Fango Delicate Active Mud Mask for Delicate Skin (7.0 oz/200 ml – $37.00) is my favorite mask out of the bunch.  This light green mask reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, but do not eat it. lol  Since I have sensitive skin I find that this is the mask I can use most often without it drying out my skin or cleaning my skin so well that it causes my eczema to flare up.  This mud is a purifying treatment that is formulated to cleanse and detoxify – leaving your most fragile and sensitive skin feeling refreshed and enriched with goodness.  It includes ingredients like Aloe Vera, Oat Protein and Mango Butter that helps to calm the skin and provide hydration.  Olive Fruit and Chamomille extracts soothe and alleviate the dryness leaving your skin soft and restoring the supple cushion your skin needs to feel comfortable and great.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks

The Fango Delicate Mud is one I can use at least once a week and I use it over my entire face without issue of sensitivities.  This mask makes my skin feel soft and hydrated which I enjoy and it is such a great little tool for offering me a bit of pampering after a long day.  If you have sensitive skin or you just want a mask that helps to clean but hydrate and will work effectively – I think this would be a great one for you to try out.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks

The last mask I have been using is the Fango Brightening Mud Mask for Face and Body (4.5 oz/127 g) this mask retails for $37.00 for the 7.0 oz jar and is a very cute pink shade that reminds me of Hubba Bubba bubble gum.  I love that this is a face and body mask like the active mud mask and offers a variety of uses.  I can’t use this mask more than once every two weeks because the citrus in the mask can cause my eczema to flare up if used too often, but it is one I know I will continue to repurchase in the future when I run out.  This mask is the perfect mud for brightening the skin and helps to remove the dull look I can sometimes get after a long week.  Instantly my skin and face is glowing after removing.  With ingredients like Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Sweet Almond and Avocado oils, this mud minimizes pores, evens your skin tone, corrects imperfections and promotes a smooth, clear luminance I desire.  This will particularly be a favorite of mine during the summer months when I notice my skin just loses its luster.

Borghese Fango Mud Masks

I no longer see it available on their website, but the Fango Muds to Go are a great option if you are looking to travel and have your favorite mud with you or if you want to try out something to see if you like it and it works with your skin.   I hope it’s just sold out and they will be bringing this back because it is a great option.

Overall – I am loving these.  I am a huge fan and lover of masks as I stated before but I had to tread lightly when using them as many can cause adverse affects with my sensitive skin.  While some work, others may dry me out so bad that my sensitive skin freaks out and I have an eczema flare up.  These masks worked with with my sensitivities and they were easy to apply.  I used my fingers to apply each one and I loved how they felt on the skin.  Each mask is in a cute mason jar style container which I love.  While the jars are glass, they are reasonably sturdy (though I do not suggest dropping them) and work well with any decor you may have when storing them.  While I love the three that I used I really enjoy the Delicate Mud which is my weekly spa pampering treatment and Brightening Mud.  Active Mud is great – but I can’t use it more than every two weeks – but I love to use it on areas on my body as well.  These masks/muds may seem pretty costly – but you are getting a huge amount of product for the price and a little of this stuff goes a long way.  After using these now for the last 3-4 months, I didn’t notice the product getting hard or difficult to continue to work with… which is a huge plus since I’ve purchased highend masks that are expensive and only have 2.0 oz of product and they dried up within a month.  Removing the mask is easy with the sponge that Borghese offers, but I prefer using a wet wash cloth or my fingers and remove with luke warm water.

I am consistently impressed with the products Borghese has been offering lately.  I look forward to trying out more of the muds available from the Fango line because these have become a favorite.  Using these products in combination with my normal skin care regimen and other masks I love – they have made a huge difference in how my skin feels and looks.  Having turned 35 in January – I’m do my best to keep on top of my skin care and I know these will continue to be a favorite for years to come.

Have you tried anything from the Borghese Fango line?  If not – are there any that interests you?

I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by.  In all honesty, I think I blinked or closed my eyes for a nap like Rip Van Wrinkle and woke up a year later.  So much has happened this year and I have had the awesome opportunity to try out so many different products newly released.  While I have tried out so many wonderful products, I also found that I stuck with a few favorites from last year as well.  With the end of 2014 so quickly approaching, myself and the gorgeous beauties from the Beauty Council bring to you our Best of Beauty 2014.

best of beauty

My list includes a variety of Cosmetics, skin care, face and body products as well as hair and perfume.  My favorites range from Drug store products to high end and include a wide variety for all.  I know I’m a little earlier than usual this year, as I normally make this post or video in January – but I wanted to share this information with you in case you are looking for ideas for Christmas presents for that Beauty lover in your life.  I’ll have a video and maybe a revised post sometime in January.

[Some of the products mentioned in this post include Press Samples & Affiliate Links.]Best of Beauty 2014

This year I tried out a lot of new skin care items and while some didn’t quite work for me, others have become favorites of mine.

skincare

  • Coconut Oil – this has been a favorite of mine a few years now and still something I just can’t live without.  It is the number one item in my skin care arsenal.
  • Freeman Beauty Feeling Beautiful Face Masks – I have tried several of these this year and so far I’m loving them all.  They are not harsh on my sensitive skin and really affordable.
  • Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser – this is my HG facial cleanser and one I’ve been using for years now.
  • Japanese Konjac Sponge – I have used a few varieties of these Konjac Sponges this year and they have been great for my face and a separate for my body.
  • Valentia Skin care Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Serum – We all know I’m a serum addict and this one is one of my favorites.
  • Michael Todd Soniclear Cleansing System – I have only been using this the last few months but it is my favorite cleansing tool to date.
  • Be Delectable by Cake Beauty Body Lotion – yummy, delicious scent and great moisturization.  One of my favorite lotions – EVER!
hair care

For hair care this year, I wanted to be able to use products that would offer my hair more moisture so I could embrace my natural curls.  I also needed products that would protect my hair from sun damage and help tame my frizz.

  • Dove Pure Care Dry Oil – When used in combination with my Coconut Oil and/or Argan Oil, this dry oil has helped to keep my hair soft and frizz free.  This product also smells yummy!
  • DermOrganic Argan Oil Hair Care line – these products, all of them from this line have become favorites this year and I don’t know what I would do if I lost them or couldn’t buy them.  They leave my hair feeling so soft, my curls are gorgeous and my hair is frizz-free.

best of makeup 2014

I can’t believe the amount of products I have had the opportunity to test out and use this year.  While I had to narrow my list down quite a bit, I chose out a few items that I knew I tend to pull for more than others.

  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams – I wish my local stores sold all the shades available, but nonetheless, I stock up on these when I can.  They apply like a liquid lipstick, feel nice on the lips and their matte.
  • J.Cat Wonder Lip Paints – these very affordable lip gloss like products are fun and come in a variety of shades.  I own six of them and really have been enjoying wearing them the last 6 months or so.
  • Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes – these lippies were just recently released within the last few months.  They are creamy, feel wonderful on the lips and they don’t dry my lips at all.
  • Milani Color Statement Lipsticks – there’s no secret there that I am in love with these lipsticks.  Nuff said. lol
  • Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencils – ah, these are so awesome.  Full with pigment and color, feels wonderful on the lips and non-drying.
  • Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Shadows – I love how easy these are to apply to my eyes and they are so easy to grab and use for days when my makeup application has to be quick. So affordable too.
  • Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette – I have a few favorite palettes from this year, Lorac Pro 2, Lorac Mega Pro and so many more… but if I had to choose one palette I thought really hit it home for me this year – it was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. And, I’m not gonna lie… my Semi Sweet palette is on its way – so I am excited for that too.
Best Face Products 2014
It’s no secret that I have a thing for blush and highlighters.  Well, let’s face it, I have a thing makeup in general. lol  But this year I tried out some new products and ventured on to new goodies to play with.
  • Benefit Porefessional – While I don’t use many face products, I do sometimes look to primers to help minimize pores.  This is still one of my all time favorite face products.
  • Maybelline Baby Skin – Instant Pore Eraser – I love the way this product feels on my skin.  Just like the Benefit Porefessional, this is a product I do not use often, but when I do – it helps my products in longevity (like blush and bronzer) and minimizes my pores
  • NYX Sunkissed Radiant Face Powder – One of my all time favorite highlighters I used this year, this product feels so soft, is finely milled and blends great on the skin.  It can be used as an all over face powder or on special areas on your face.
  • NYX Matte Bronzer in Deep – This is one of my favorite Matte bronzers from the drug store.  This product is the right shade for me and the shade range is nice for a drug store brand.  It blends nicely, doesn’t look patchy on and works as a great all over bronze or contour.
  • Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders Palette – this palette is well worth the cost for the amount of product you get.  If you are interested in diving into Hourglass – this is a great way to try three of their powders.  I love Radiant Light as one of my favorite sunkissed highlights though all of the shades definitely have a place in my heart.
  • Milani Baked Blushes – Come on now… we all know I love Milani and I am a huge lover of Milani Baked Blushes.  They are available in gorgeous shades and are very pigmented, have awesome staying power and are some of my favorite blushes to bat.
Best of Fragrance 2014

I love sweet smelling scents and this year no matter how large my collection of fragrances, I still found myself consistently pulling for these.

  • Malin+Goetz Dark Rum Eu de Toilete – this scent is unlike any I have smelled before.  It’s unisex so man or woman can wear it.  It’s a musk like scent but has a soft hint of feminine touch.  I can’t explain it.  I love layering it with some of my favorites for a custom blend.
  • Coach Love – this is one of my signature scents and it makes so much sense seeing as I love the brand Coach.  Definitely one of my favorites.  Soft with a hint of sexy.
  • Aquolina’s Pink Sugar – There is just something I love about a sugary sweet or vanilla scent and this one really takes the Cake. lol

Best Mascaras and eyeliners 2014

I am always looking for the perfect mascara and eye liners and while I have quite an extensive collection, I tend to gravitate to the same ones over and over again regardless of my selection available for use.  These are some of my favorites from this year.

  • L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara – I really love that this mascara gets all my tiny little lashes and makes them visible.  For the price tag, I think it offers great volume and some length that work for me.
  • Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara – this one has been a favorite now for about two years.  Since I have short lashes, I love that this coats my lashes, gives them great volume and make them visible for me.
  • Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara – still one of my favorites into the second year of use and I have continued to purchase over and over again.  Gives me length, volume and doesn’t flake.
  • New York Color Liquid Eye liner – while this isn’t waterproof, I still love that it lasts on me for quite a while, definitely a favorite of mine and under $3.00 – it can’t be beat.
  • Mally Beauty Evercolor Waterproof Liners – Midnight is probably one of my favorite liners, though I do have a few other colors and love them.
  • Jordana 12 Hour Made To Last Liquid Pencil Liner – these are some of my favorites and I have them in every color available.  They work well on my waterline, apply smoothly and hello – they are under $3.00

I know my list of products is long and I would be lying if I didn’t say that I actually narrowed it down quite a bit.  Truth be told, I had a lot of fun testing out and trying new products this year and it definitely reflects on the products I enjoyed using and selected.  I think the joy in beauty products and makeup for me is that the options are definitely endless… from drugstore to high end brands, now a days you have so many choices available for you – it really is difficult to narrow down favorites when so many of them are close calls.  Did you notice I left out nail polish?  If I included those… I would need a whole new post. lol

I’m definitely looking forward to 2015 and all the new releases and products that will become available soon.  Brands are constantly developing new formulas and shades, colors and textures that it makes for a great selection.  I hope you all stick around and read or watch about those products here as I love to share them with you.

Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday season.  And, don’t forget to stop by the other lovelies posts from the Beauty Council and see what made their top picks for 2014.
