I’m all about a great body scrub and I love one that smells divine, so when I received the box with the body polish inside, I could immediately smell the sweet fragrance that pulled me right in. Did I mention that I’m all about those sweet scents and this one, well – it definitely is a fragrance I am in love with. Today I share with you my thoughts on the FarmHouse Fresh Sweet Tea Body Polish… it’s definitely been a skin quencher this summer.

The Sweet Tea Body Polish temps the senses with essences of ginger, peach and white tea and exfoliates the rough spots and hydrates your skin with vitamin-enriched Shea Butter. It’s perfect on days when I need to push back my cuticles or just need a little love if I’ve been washing dishes and my hands are dry. I love that it instantly works to leave my hands feeling soft and smelling great.

Oh – when it comes to skin care devices and products that state heavy claims on how they can tone my skin, make it look youthful and help with anti-aging, I’m always excited to try them out. I’m said it many times before, but I’m almost 40 (36 to be exact) and over the years I have always believed that proper skin care is the best way to prevent the signs of aging. So, when I read about and watch late night commercials (yes, I am a late night commercial person), I tend to really gravitate to the products to see if they really are what they claim. While up late a few months ago, I came across an infomercial regarding the Conture Kinetic Skin Toning System. To say I was interested to not only test it out but to see how it worked on my skin, was an understatement, I was definitely intrigued. I was absolutely ecstatic when the PR Company for Conture reached out to me a few days later asking me to review and test out their product and I couldn’t wait till it arrived so I could test it out for myself.
Now, if you’ve been on my site before – you know that when it comes to skin care, I have tried my fair share of products, gadgets and everything in between… you name it – I have probably tried it. But, this is the first of its kind. The Conture Kinetic Skin Toning System is the first of its kind type of Anti-Aging device that brings the Professional Medical Spa technology to consumers in a safe, painless and affordable way. Having worked in the plastic surgery industry and seeing these types of treatments first hand, I was very excited to see how it would live up to its claims and I couldn’t wait to try out the system for myself.
So what is the Conture Kinetic Skin Toning System?
It’s an anti-aging device (as I stated earilier) that you can use in the comforts of your own home. It’s a non-invasive revolutionary preventative and anti-aging cosmetic device that you can use at home. The Conture utilizes a unique combination of Ultra-Low Sonic Vibrations combined with Isometric Copressions (Vacuum) to safely, gently and easily stimulate the skin. It’s similar to Pro Services that can cost hundreds or more per visit and that require 10 visits or more to sometimes see results.
The Conture is clinically shown to dramatically increase skin radiance, smoothness, lift and texture while decreasing the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles. In just one use you can immediately see noticeable results and you literally only need to use the unit for about 2 minutes per treatment. When I first heard all of this information, I’ll be honest, I didn’t think that it would even be possible, let alone effective enough to see results in one treatment without hurting my already sensitive skin.
So, what do I think about this product?
Since I’ve given you the break down on the claims for the Conture, after using this unit for about 2 weeks, here’s what I think. First of all, let me tell you what I thought after the first use. I didn’t expect to see results at all after the first session of using Conture, but I did and I really was pleased with what I saw. I don’t really have much wrinkles, but do have lines from weight loss and weight gain as well as some minor crows feed and fine lines and wrinkles that are from smiling, wearing my glasses and rubbing my eyes from my allergies. All of which I have been able to keep under control with daily use of serums and my favorite skin care. After the first use of using Conture, I noticed that my smile lines had decreased quite a bit. The Conture literally added life to them, with it’s vacuum like suction I felt it plumped those lines up so that it was not as visible as it had been prior to the treatment.

After using the unit on my forehead, I also noticed that the fine lines on my forehead seemed like they were plumped up and not as noticeable too. It is such a relief when you are using a product and notice just a few minutes later how much it has made a difference. My jaw line also seemed to have shrunk some, or at least looked like I was not as chunky in that area as I had been before I had started the treatment. All of these results I am talking about happened within a 2-3 minute time period and I noticed immediately after the treatment using the Conture for the first time.
I continued using the product 2x a day for the last two weeks. I noticed over the course of the last two weeks how the texture of my face had improved. My skin looks brighter, is much more even in tone and feels smoother than before. It feels like my skin is much more accepting to my skin care products, and skin absorption is better than it had been in a long time. Since I naturally have dry skin, I layer on several types of skin care products as a part of my daily regimen and I started noticing that the absorption of the products was taking longer than it normally did to drink up my serums. With the first week and into the second week of using the Conture, I noticed my absorption of my skin care serums was quick and fast… like my skin was drinking up the greatness once again.

Some cons of using this product are not necessarily cons because my skin tends to freak out some at the beginning of a new skin care add on. I noticed a few days after using the Conture on my face that I started breaking out. But do not fear, because my skin has done this each and every time I have tried something new. I tend to consider it my… “skin has to get worst before it gets better phase” and while it’s a con now, I am already noticing some improvement in the whole treatment process. I break out a lot when I start new treatments and it can proceed well into a month before I notice that my skin is actually just cleansing itself. It happens with masques or new products, so I do not contest that it has to do with the product itself. After just two short weeks, I noticed such a huge difference in how my skin feels – I know that the Conture is working for my skin.
My Conture Kinetic Skin Toning System included: The Conture Device, Kinetic Treatment Serum, AM Ignition Lotion, PM Recovery Creme and US Charging Cord and Adapter. I have been using the Kinetic Treatment Serum prior to each Conture treatment to help prep my skin and to allow the device to glide across my skin easily. I use the AM Ignition Lotion in the morning after my Conture treatment along with my morning AM skin care regimen and serums and then the PM Recovery Creme in the evening after the Conture treatment along with my PM skin care regimen. I use different products in the AM and PM already. My skin care products I currently use and have been using seem to work okay with those that came with my Conture.
I have been using the Conture Kinetic Skin Toning System on the Mild setting for my face the first week but have since started using the “Face” setting after using the system for a week. I haven’t had any sensitivity issues at all using this product which is a huge plus. Being Eczema prone and having such sensitive skin, I have had so many products cause flare ups and I haven’t had any problems with the Conture. What I love the most is that Conture is developed by a brand that I have know and love – Luminess Air. Luminess Air is a brand I have used for years and as a makeup artist, it is one I have stocked in my kit to do bridal work and shows for years on clients. I knew that the Luminess Air brand was a favorite, but now after trying Conture for 2 short weeks, I have found that they are great at taking care of my skin.
This post is just my first impressions. In about 3 weeks I’ll be sharing with you my full review after using this product for just over a month. Overall – having used this product for two weeks, I can honestly say – it’s wonderful and I love it so much I’m looking into getting one for my mom. When it comes to aging, I would like to hope that I’m doing it gracefully. I’m proud to say how old I am… I’m 36 by the way, on my way to the fab 40s and I’m excited to see where my life takes me then. Aging is a part of every day life and I’m really lucky that I have good genes and have learned to take care of my skin early on. I’m a huge believer in preventative measure and thankful that I started to care for my skin early. Hydration and moisturizing is an important part of my skin care regimen as well as protecting my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. It may seem like little things, but it should never be taken for granted. While I don’t do the foundation thing often – practically never, I’m always interested in a BB Cream or CC Cream that will not only provide me that extra boost of moisture but something that can protect my skin. Of course, a little coverage is always a plus too. Today I share with you my thoughts on LifeCell BB Cream – a new to me brand that I have been loving. Let’s get into it, shall we?
LifeCell Skin Care is a new to me brand, but one that creates high-end skin care products that are clinically proven to revive the skin. The LifeCell Hydrating Antioxidant BB Cream ($47.00 – 1.7 Fl.oz. / 50mL) provides your skin with all day moisture while reducing the appearance of dark spots and imperfections. It’s water resistant and has a Broad Spectrum SPF 30 to protect your skin while giving you a flawless, healthy glow this summer.
As most know who frequent my blog, I stay away from foundation as much as possible because it causes my skin to dry out a lot of the time and often times it will cause my Eczema to flare up. I do have my favorites if I should need extra coverage, but I really love a bare face on a daily so it’s how I often look consistently. I have nothing against those who wear foundation, it just doesn’t work for me as much as I would have liked and after learning how to take care of my skin over the years, I found I just don’t need it. Should I need a little extra coverage or a boost in moisture, I usually will pull out a trusty BB Cream and lately I’ve been using this one from LifeCell. I have the colors Dark and Medium and most the time I can get away with the medium tone but as summer progresses, I know I’ll be needed to use the dark.
Above – Medium (left and Dark (right) – applies like a liquid foundation and smooths onto the skin easily. I use my Oval Makeup brush to apply it flawlessly. It offers light to build-able coverage, though it is quite light and would not cover dark pigmentation without first concealing though it does offer enough coverage to reduce the appearance of imperfections. After application this BB Cream left me with a dewy complexion (which I love) and kept my skin hydrated and moisturized all day – at least 5 hours consistently. This BB Cream is suitable for all skin types and my sensitive skin didn’t seem to have any issues, no break outs or flare ups. I also loved how my skin felt when I had the product on and after it was removed, it kept my skin hydrated under the product.
The pump to dispense the product is pretty nifty and awesome. I love a good pump for liquid / cream products and this one works well. I believe they changed up the packaging some from the original that I see on the site, but I much prefer the one I have. Just one simple press and product will dispense. I usually use four pumps to cover my entire face.
I wanted to provide a before and after photo so you could see what the LifeCell BB Cream looked like on my skin with light coverage. The photos are taken with my cell phone and have not been retouched. In my “Before” photo to the left, I have no makeup on with exception to my brows filled in and mascara. The next photo to the right is the “After” photo taken about 4 – 5 minutes after the initial photo. I have applied a light layer of the LifeCell Antioxidant BB Cream in Medium using my Oval Makeup Brush for even application. Lighting was not adjusted and I took the photos each in the same position and area with the same lighting (or attempted to) and as you can notice, while the difference is not huge, with a light layer of product my face looks a little more even, dewy and has an illuminated look. If I wanted additional coverage I could add another layer. I also love that the match of colors (both of them) do not turn out to look ashy on my skin, that’s a big deal since most products are too cool toned and make my skin look ashy. This looks natural, feels natural on. My skin is not sticky and it doesn’t feel heavy on… it feels like I have a moisturizer on my face, lightweight and natural.
Each time I use this BB Cream, it’s lightweight and applies evenly without streaking. I love that it’s Dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic, which helps since my skin is so sensitive. Did I mention it was water resistant? Well, it is for up to 80 minutes and then must be reapplied. My before and after images were taken in natural light but I didn’t notice any flash back in photos where I have used flash. Overall – I really like this product and like that it’s buildable coverage. If you are looking for a product that offers antioxidant ingredients while still offering you moisture and coverage, I think you’ll like this too.

With the summer months in full swing, my dry skin can take a huge beating and require extra moisture. No matter the season, it seems like my skin needs the extra benefits of hydration and I love turning to products that can do so for me without compromising my skin care or my makeup that I may have spent some time to put together. When I need a little extra boost of moisture, I turn to a facial spray. I have used all kinds and different brands and I’m always impressed with each in their own right, but lately I’ve been really loving the Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist and Setting Spray.
The Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray ($44.00 USD – 3.3 fl.oz / 97 mL) immediate caught my eye after having tried several different products from Farmacy in the past – and loving each one. The Skin Dew is formulated with Farmacy’s proprietary GreenEnvy Echinacea which you can immediately tell once you spritz or spray the product. This spray is made to hydrate the skin by toning and restoring the radiance of your skin as well as refreshing your makeup.
When it comes to hydrating mists or setting sprays, sometimes I notice that my skin looks overly dewy or greasy but I love the way my skin feels when I spray this essence on. My skin immediately feels moisturized and hydrated while eliminating the “powdery” look and feel that some of my makeup can leave my face feeling. This spray literally helps to moisturize and sooth my skin on contact and I love it.
Since I don’t use foundation or concealer daily – this works as a great refresher (especially in the morning) to really wake up and invigorate my skin without adding harsh chemicals or products that can really draw out my natural moisture. However, I found that with using this product prior to applying any BB Cream or tinted moisturizer can really help the product apply evenly and give my face a more luminous look. As a makeup setting spray – it leaves my skin looking glowy and leaves my skin looking fresh. Like I stated before, any powder products that I use on my skin looks airbrushed and doesn’t leave a powdery finish behind. While I have used many products for setting my makeup – I especially enjoy the Skin Dew because it feels wonderful on my skin, leaves my face feeling refreshed and cool and it’s not sticky – which is the biggest plus… I hate the feeling of sticky or heavy products on my skin.

Over the last year, I have tried a handful of Farmacy products and I have really enjoyed each one, but I think the Skin Dew Setting Spray may be my favorite. It has a refreshing scent that really helps to awaken the senses, it kind of reminds me of an herbal or earthy fragrance with peppermint and rosemary. The color of the product in the bottle – that green hue, kind of freaked me out at first… but it also gave me the first impression that this product is all natural. I love the size of the bottle because it makes it easy to carry with me on the go, but still offers a lot of product since one to two spritz will cover my whole face. While the spray comes with a higher price tag than most, it really lives up to the cost in my opinion and I know it will be one that I’ll continue to repurchase when I run out.
Using the product is simple – simply hold the nozzle about eight inches from your skin and spray gently across the face. You want to start at the forehead and work down to the chin. Like I mentioned previously, use this mist to give you a vitalizing and energizing mist that helps to add the extra benefit of moisture or to refresh your makeup and use to seal in your the fresh look of your makeup when you’re done applying. This is a great spray for summer because it really feels great on the skin and smells awesome.

When it comes to cleaning our teeth, I’m the warden in our house and I’m constantly on top of the tooth brushing and cleaning each day. But, I also believe that brushing your teeth shouldn’t just be a habit you develop, but it should be fun and you should want to clean your teeth several times a day. Overall, the boys absolutely enjoy their Foreo ISSA mini as much as I enjoy my ISSA. They have been using it for a few weeks now and I have noticed that they have a little competition in the bathroom to see who gets their happy face to come on first. It’s fun and the colors would make anyone excited to brush their teeth. As I mentioned before, I also own the adult version – the Foreo ISSA and it has made such a difference in the way I clean my teeth. I do not use mine exclusively – I have a few other brushes I use in combination with it, but my gums have been so healthy because of it. The twins (Luke & Isaiah) have been loving the little massages they get when brushing their teeth and they tell everyone about their cool toothbrushes. I have noticed that their gums look healthy and their dentist says he thinks this was a good addition to their dental hygiene.
If you have been on the fence to picking up something like this for your kids, I highly suggest checking it out. They are costly, yes – but considering the benefits, you have something that will be worth it. Did I mention you only have to charge it for an hour and the charge lasts for 200 uses? Yes, I consider this a lifesaver for sure. Foreo is easily becoming a household name here and we love the products we have and will continue to support the brand and their products. I have tried many different things that I consider to be gimmicky but we are loving the products Foreo offers and look forward to trying out more.
