I honestly think that I’ve been neglecting many of the brands that I have in my makeup collection and supplementing them for my Pixi Beauty favorites.  Since Summer time is the time where I use minimal makeup, I’ve found that these gorgeous beauties have been my go to for lips and cheeks.  Today I introduce to you some products that have been my absolute summer favorites and they all hail from Pixi.  Let’s chit chat about them, shall we?

The Pixi Beauty GelTint and SilkGlosses have become one of my staples for summer looks this season.  With gorgeous shades that offer me the perfect look for the warmer months and longevity that I need without the fuss of a liquid lipstick.  If you are looking for that sunkissed and beachy vibe, I think you’ll absolutely love these as much as I do.  There are three shades available in this collection and each one retails for $12.00.  These beauties are dual-ended and come with a Gel lip tint (that leaves your lips with a wearable but gorgeous stain) and a gloss to top the look off.  You can use either product on its own or together to complete your look.

My favorite combination of lippies has been to layer BerryTint and PinkTint to create a gorgeous pink lip and finish the look off with Sweet Gloss.

These GelTints & SilkGlosses make a great combination and feel absolutely wonderful on the lips.  I love that they are lightweight but offer great color, even if my lips are dark.  They give you a long-lasting lip tint that has a great stained effect and I love that my lips still hold their moisture and do not dry out.  Each product is hydrating and none of them are sticky at all.  If you’re someone who enjoys a minimal makeup look, I think you’ll love these.

Just a quick note, while they are long lasting, they do fade through out the day and with eating or drinking, you may need to reapply.  These lippies do, however, reapply easily without little effort and without issues of weird casts or dry patches which make it wonderful to take on the go with you.  Toss these in your beach bag for an all day look and you’re good to go.

The Pixi Beauty Sheer Cheek Gels are another hit in my book.  Retailing for $14.00, these Sheer Cheek Gels are available in three gorgeous and universally flattering shades.  I love a great blush but since Hawaii tends to be hot and often humid during the summer, my cheeks don’t get as much love as they do in the winter time.  These sheer gel blushes create a gorgeous but natural looking flush of color to your cheeks to brighten and beautify your complexion in an instant.  They are long lasting and perfect for those days you want a little color to your cheekies without the heavy powder or cream products that you would normally wear.  They have been my absolute go-to this summer.

Swatches from left to right – Flushed, Natural, Rosy

These gels are translucent (as you can see from the swatches) and sheer so they offer you the perfect touch of color to your cheeks leaving you with a youthful look.  I apply these directly to my cheeks with my fingers and they can even be used on the lips, so it’s a perfect two-in-one.  My cheeks are left fresh and bright all day and I never find the need to touch up.  These products are oil free, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic and they leave my skin hydrated and moisturized too.  I simply apply the product to my finger tips and tap onto the skin area or lips where I want the product to be.  I blend onto the apples of my cheeks and my look is complete.

I’ve had these products in my possession now for the last couple of months. Since I’ve had them, I’ve gotten a lot of use out of them.  As a busy mom, I want something that allows me to do what I need to do without fussing over my makeup.  But,  I also want to have products that help me look put together so I still look decent.  These are definitely my summer time go-to products and I haven’t been able to get enough out of them.

When and if I remember to take photos of me using these products (I’m sorry as my mind has not been in the right state lately), I’ll be sure to update this post with images.  I definitely suggest checking these beauties out.  I’ve was an instant fan of them and love that they are so affordable but offer great quality.  If you are someone who loves to just run out the door with a little color, I think these are definitely worth looking into.

You can purchase Pixi Beauty products at your local Target (if available) as well as Pixibeauty.com

I know I’ve been featuring Pixi Beauty on the blog quite often lately, but in all honesty, I have a serious crush on the products I’ve been trying from the brand.  Between the influencer collaborations to products they’ve been releasing consistently, I have definitely been crushing on the Pixi by Petra.  Today we’re going to chat about some of their Skin Teats – like literally, that’s what tab they are labeled under on the website (and with good reason, because they totally are).  These beauty mists have been my lazy girl best friends lately and I am excited to share them with all of you.

pixi, pixi beauty, pixi beauty mists, skin treats, beauty mists, setting spray, makeup, skin care, makeup setting spray, vitamin c spray, drugstore skin care, vitamin wakeup mist, hydrating milky mist, glow mist, makeup fixing mist, spray mist, makeup mist, skin care mist,

Everyone knows that a great makeup or skincare mist for the face is definitely essential but in some cases, it’s a luxury that many can’t afford.  However, over the last year or so – brands have been coming out with affordable versions and Pixi is definitely killing it in the game.  At just $15.00 each, you can’t help but want to give these babies a whirl and see how they work.  I have been using these skin treats mists now for at least 2 months and boy oh boy, I’m in love.

The Hydrating Milky Mist is one I had on my mind for a few months and I was so excited to get it in my recent box to try.  This deeply hydrating mist provides and invisible layer of skin-soothers and is the ultimate remedy for dry skin like mine.  It’s feather light and offers your skin a surge of hydration with hyaluronic acid to help plump the skin.  It’s perfect for all skin types and provides a blend of black oat, provitamin A, and linoleic acid to rejuvenate the skin and provide a perfect first layer of moisture before you apply serums and makeup.  I shake my bottle and spray onto my skin in the morning or night (or anytime I feel my face needs a little hydration).  It’s easy to apply and one of my favorites.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dipropylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Ethylhexylglycerin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Allantoin, Ceteareth-20, Trideceth-10, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-12, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Benzoic Acid, Lecithin, Avena Strigosa Seed Extract. 80ml / 2.70 fl.oz

Before I go further, I also wanted to add that the spray nozzle on these bottles is great.  You get the perfect amount each time you use it.  I love it.

The Makeup Fixing Mist with Rose Water and Green Tea has also become one of my favorite products.  Like most makeup setting sprays – this one prolongs makeup wear and keeps it from moving, melting and settling into fine lines and pores.  With the rose water and green tea infused formula, this spray helps to comfort, protect and balance the skin for a fresh face.  I love how it leaves my skin looking hydrated and really helps to give my skin a fresh look, regardless of how much makeup I have on.  I don’t have to worry about looking cake-face with this product.  This spray has replaced two of my favorites because it’s affordable and I love the smell.  If you’re looking for a spray that will set your makeup while adding a soft-focus finish, you’ll surely enjoy this one.

*I use this spray after makeup or spray directly onto my makeup brush before applying eye shadow for a foiled, more intense look.

Ingredients: Water, Alcohol, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Citrate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Trideceth-10, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Glycerin, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Soleirolia Soleirolii Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Origanum Majorana Leaf Extract, Fragrance, Butylene Glycol, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Pinus Densiflora Extract, Thuja Orientalis Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Niacinamide, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Maltodextrin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pyridoxine HCl, Silica. 80ml / 2.70 fl.oz.

The Glow Mist is a product I’ve been using for quite a few months now and it’s one of my favorites.  Since I don’t use makeup daily and I’m always on the hunt for a glowy, dewy look, I think this product is one that gets the job done when I need it to.  The Glow Mist gives my face a luminous and glowing look while still leaving me with a smooth complexion.  It’s enriched with 13 natural oils plus propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts.  It hydrates my skin while nourishing and also acts as a makeup setting spray while leaving my skin looking glowy and fresh.  I use it in the morning or evening when I need it and I even spray some on my shoulders when I am wearing something that exposes them some.  I love this product and I absolutely enjoy how it gives me that beachy (just get out of the water from a dip) look without being on the sand or getting wet.

Ingredients: Water, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Propolis Extract, Niacinamide, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Rose Flower Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil. 80ml / 2.70 fl.oz

Last but not least, let’s talk the Pixi Vitamin Wakeup Mist.  First of all, I’m a morning person, so I love a product that just wakes up my skin so that I look like I feel – excited and ready to start my day.  This mist offers a boost to my skin while revitalizing it and giving my complexion an awakened effect.  The orange blossom water base is blended with skin-loving citrus fruit extracts, lavender, and arginine.  This mist helps to strengthen and tone while adding hydration and a protective veil to the skin.  It cools, refreshes and wakes up your skin to start your day.  You can use this in the AM or PM and it works wonders for those days when you feel like you needed to snooze your alarm a few more times.

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Allantoin, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Citrus Grandis (grapefruit) Peel Oil, Adenosine, Tropolone, Disodium EDTA, Arginine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Sinensis Peel Oil Expressed, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Maltodextrin, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pryidoxine HCI, Silica.

I am always excited to share Pixi products with all of you – especially when they are products that I’ve been loving lately.  These are definitely some of my favorites and I’ll be stocking up on them as I run out.

I’m sure over the last couple of months you have seen the release of the It’s Judy Time Eye and Lip Palettes.  I was definitely ecstatic to hear they were hitting stores and the site because It’s Judy Time or Judy Travis has been one of my long time favorite YouTubers.  I remember when I first started YouTube 10 years ago and we had started our channels around the same time.  She would do her videos from her little apartment, teaching subscribers how to do easy hair styles and makeup looks.  This was before her and Benji even got married and definitely before they had their children – Juliana and the Twins.  I love when I am able to watch the life of a YouTuber grow and I feel like our lives all have similarities, ya know.  Anyway – I’m off on a tangent here, regardless of what and why – I was definitely excited to see that Pixi collaborated with such a beauty.  Today I’m going to be sharing with you the Eye and Lip Palettes from the ItsJudyTime + Pixi Beauty Collaboration.  I don’t have any looks to share but figured I could provide my overall thoughts on the palettes as well as swatches.  I noticed that they are popping up at my local Target – so maybe you could use this post as a reference if it’s something you’re interested in getting.

ItsEyeTime palette (ItsJudyTime + Pixi Beauty) consists of 12 gorgeously pigmented and silky eye shadows.  Retailing for $24.00 I was definitely impressed by how soft and easy to blend these shades were.  I’m a neutral girl at heart so a palette that allows me to take a look from day to night while still giving me shades that I can use for an all-over-the-lid look, it’s definitely a must have for me.

This palette was created so that the wearer could seemlessly transition their look from day to night and have a palette they could turn to for their every day looks.  There are a mixture of matte and shimmer shades and a variety of neutral tones (both warm and cool) so that it would suit many skin tones.

This palette was created with the neutrals that you need in your everyday life and makes it simple and easy.

As you can see from the swatches, this palette is gorgeous.  I’ll be honest, I would have bought the palettes just because they were created by one of my favorite YouTubers, but I’m over the moon excited by the quality.  Each shade really was smooth and creamy/buttery in texture.  When I swatched each, they were swatched on my arm with no primer and really applied easily.  Blending them was effortless and this would be a great palette for a beginner or pro.  Highly pigmented and easy to use for anyone for sure.  This palette has easily become one of my favorites in my collection and for someone who is a makeup collector, that says a lot.

Next in the collaboration is the ItsLipTime Palette (ItsJudyTime + Pixi Beauty).  Also retailing for $24.00, the ItsLipTime palette features 12 lip cremes in an array of shades.  You get wearable, super flattering colors that have all been mixed by Judy.  Each lip color is hydrating and are easy to apply with your finger or a lip brush.

The colors were created in this lip palette so that you could wear them solo, mix or layer them to create a variety of endless shade options.  The lip cremes have a soft fruit like fragrance (mainly because Judy wanted to have a scent since she enjoys smelling lipsticks – if you watch her vlogs, you know this), but definitely not an overpowering scent.

This lip palette will take you from day to night and all year round.  The shades range from soft nudes to pinks and show stopping berry and red tones.  You are getting a variety of blendable shades to create the looks for any day and time.

Now – I’m loving this palette and the wide range, but like with any lipstick palette, you definitely have to build the color up.  Is that a bad thing?  In my opinion, no.  That really means you can custom make your own shades, and they are still all very pigmented colors which allow you to apply a wash of color on your lips or go full out glam – it’s truly up to you.

Over the last month or so I’ve been blending Juliana Bear and B Did It to create a very wearable and pouty pink for my everyday wear.  I absolutely love the shades Judy selected in this palette and found that it’s becoming a staple in my makeup collection.  I love that each shade is creamy and feels great on the lips.  Moisturizing and soft without drying out my pout.  Furthermore, I am so loving the fact that there is no shimmer in this palette – you get creamy lipsticks without the glitter, that makes me love it even more.

Each of the palettes have the same type of packaging, which I love because it really makes them look like a set.  While they do not have a mirror attached, each palette comes with a little sticky mirror which you can attach with the adhesive on the inside if you feel the need.  I haven’t attached mine because I found I haven’t needed it. But, again – these palettes were made so that they could be used on the go as well.  They are compact, while still offering sturdy packaging so they would be perfect for travel.

I absolutely love that the shades all have names – hallelujah, that’s such a big deal for me… because when I’m doing my makeup I like to reference the color choices.  And, I love that each shade name is listed on the back of the palette for easy reference – no funky pieces of plastic to get tossed out later.  One of my favorite things about this collaboration is that these products are available at Target stores.  I’m so excited for Judy and love when I walk into my local Target and see the palette in display.  It makes me excited and happy.

You see, I watched Judy grow over the years and watched her YouTube channel flourish into well over 1 million subscribers.  She’s literally a household name and as a YouTube and blogger myself, I’m excited to see that this is happening for one of our own.  One day, I can only hope that something like this would happen for me.  I’m a dreamer, but I love seeing people succeed and Judy is one of my favorites so to watch this unfold, it’s definitely exciting.

You can purchase these palettes at: https://www.pixibeauty.com/ or at your local Target store where available.

If you didn’t already know – I am born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Maui.  While it’s quite expensive to live here, it’s my island home and I’m proud of it.  My families roots and ancestry go back several years and my Great Grandmother was even of 100% Hawaiian ancestry.  Because of this, I’m always VERY proud of where I come from and the great things that Hawaii has to offer.  The islands are a wonder of talent, many of which come from the music industry.  My parents are musicians, so I have definitely seen my fair share of talented song birds and instrument players over the years.  One very talented person who comes from my island home of Maui is Anuhea Jenkins and I’m excited to share that she has recently collaborated with one of my favorite cosmetic brands, Cargo Cosmetics.  Today I’m going to share with you the You Had Me At Aloha palette – a new and limited edition release.  Let’s learn more about it, shall we?

This gorgeous limited edition palette called:  You Had Me At Aloha is hawaiian themed with 12 gorgeous shadows.  Retailing for just $34.00 this palette includes a very versatile mix of neutral shades and pops of color to create gorgeous and stunning eye looks.  Each shade is inspired by Hawaii’s beautiful natural beaches and floral and forest landscapes.

The shades through out the palette are laid out in 3 quads and 6 duos to perfectly coordinate and achieve both day and night looks.  I have also been enjoying pairing different colors outside of the coordinated tones (like Kai, Lei, Shaka and Shell) to create my own custom looks.  The palette also comes with a versatile dual-ended eye shadow brush that will allow you to apply the color and blend as well as a black pencil eye liner that can be sharpened to complete your entire look.

I’ve had this palette now for a few weeks (since it was released on Cargo’s website) and I was not only intrigued but very excited to get it when I posted about the collaboration between Cargo and Anuhea last year.  When I talked about the collaboration months ago, I had no idea what the products would be or the colors so as soon as I seen it… I fell in love.  This particular palette screams “Honey” to me because the colors within are literally those that I use all the time or my favorite and must-have types of shades.  But, the fact that Anuhea is a local girl from Maui and signed as Ambassador of one of my favorite brands, really was the icing on the cake for me.

The shimmer shades through out this palette are absolutely stunning and gorgeous and each have a really nice texture.  The matte shades definitely wowed me more than I had expected.  Perfectly selected to have the mattes you need to create a whole eye look.  I am always impressed with the quality of Cargo’s products and I’m amazed they are not hyped up as much as other brands.  I have several palettes from Cargo but I think this is my favorite.

Let’s talk about the packaging… first, how beautiful is this Hawaii themed palette.  I think the design on the cover and the gold foiling really add a special touch.  For years to come, this will be a palette I will love having in my collection – even if just to hold for sentimental sake because the packing is gorgeous.  The colors are all named after places in Hawaii or things about Hawaii which I love.  I also love how so many of the colors represent its name perfectly – for example:  Kai (which is the teal shimmery shade in the palette) is Ocean in hawaiian.  And Hapuna which is a gorgeous location on the island of Hawai’i (Big Island) is a beautiful ivory matte shade which is reminiscent of the location that Hapuna is – tranquil, quaint, a golf resort area and great beaches for surfing.  Kona, a medium brown tone represents one of the main towns on the island of Hawai’i is lined with lava rack along the western coast and you’ll find various coffee farms & many historic landmarks on the island there.  All of the names of this palette correspond so well with the color it represents.
