If you didn’t already know – I am born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Maui.  While it’s quite expensive to live here, it’s my island home and I’m proud of it.  My families roots and ancestry go back several years and my Great Grandmother was even of 100% Hawaiian ancestry.  Because of this, I’m always VERY proud of where I come from and the great things that Hawaii has to offer.  The islands are a wonder of talent, many of which come from the music industry.  My parents are musicians, so I have definitely seen my fair share of talented song birds and instrument players over the years.  One very talented person who comes from my island home of Maui is Anuhea Jenkins and I’m excited to share that she has recently collaborated with one of my favorite cosmetic brands, Cargo Cosmetics.  Today I’m going to share with you the You Had Me At Aloha palette – a new and limited edition release.  Let’s learn more about it, shall we?

Cargo Cosmetics, You had me at hello, limited edition, eye shadow palette, cargo, anuhea jenkins, makeup, beauty, review, swatches, hawaii, maui, eyeliner, eye shadow brush, eye shadow swatches, gorgeous, beautiful

This gorgeous limited edition palette called:  You Had Me At Aloha is hawaiian themed with 12 gorgeous shadows.  Retailing for just $34.00 this palette includes a very versatile mix of neutral shades and pops of color to create gorgeous and stunning eye looks.  Each shade is inspired by Hawaii’s beautiful natural beaches and floral and forest landscapes.

The shades through out the palette are laid out in 3 quads and 6 duos to perfectly coordinate and achieve both day and night looks.  I have also been enjoying pairing different colors outside of the coordinated tones (like Kai, Lei, Shaka and Shell) to create my own custom looks.  The palette also comes with a versatile dual-ended eye shadow brush that will allow you to apply the color and blend as well as a black pencil eye liner that can be sharpened to complete your entire look.

I’ve had this palette now for a few weeks (since it was released on Cargo’s website) and I was not only intrigued but very excited to get it when I posted about the collaboration between Cargo and Anuhea last year.  When I talked about the collaboration months ago, I had no idea what the products would be or the colors so as soon as I seen it… I fell in love.  This particular palette screams “Honey” to me because the colors within are literally those that I use all the time or my favorite and must-have types of shades.  But, the fact that Anuhea is a local girl from Maui and signed as Ambassador of one of my favorite brands, really was the icing on the cake for me.

The shimmer shades through out this palette are absolutely stunning and gorgeous and each have a really nice texture.  The matte shades definitely wowed me more than I had expected.  Perfectly selected to have the mattes you need to create a whole eye look.  I am always impressed with the quality of Cargo’s products and I’m amazed they are not hyped up as much as other brands.  I have several palettes from Cargo but I think this is my favorite.

“As a Hawaii girl, I’m really proud to share this collaboration with all of you.  This beautiful palette is a must have for the makeup lover – especially if you enjoy colors like these.  Wearable shades with pops of color to help you create a stunning look.” – Honey

Let’s talk about the packaging… first, how beautiful is this Hawaii themed palette.  I think the design on the cover and the gold foiling really add a special touch.  For years to come, this will be a palette I will love having in my collection – even if just to hold for sentimental sake because the packing is gorgeous.  The colors are all named after places in Hawaii or things about Hawaii which I love.  I also love how so many of the colors represent its name perfectly – for example:  Kai (which is the teal shimmery shade in the palette) is Ocean in hawaiian.  And Hapuna which is a gorgeous location on the island of Hawai’i (Big Island) is a beautiful ivory matte shade which is reminiscent of the location that Hapuna is – tranquil, quaint, a golf resort area and great beaches for surfing.  Kona, a medium brown tone represents one of the main towns on the island of Hawai’i is lined with lava rack along the western coast and you’ll find various coffee farms & many historic landmarks on the island there.  All of the names of this palette correspond so well with the color it represents.

Let’s talk a bit about how I’m loving Pixi Beauty skin care products lately.  I’ll be honest, over the last few years I’ve actually been using Pixi Beauty makeup and cosmetic products, not so much their skin care – so I had no idea how much I would absolutely enjoy the products I have been using over the last few months.  A few recent additions to my skin care regimen from Pixi are the Glowtion Day Dew, Glow Mist, Beauty Sleep Cream and 24K Eye Elixir and I thought, since we are in the midst of the winter… what better to talk about then some products that can give you that glow during the colder months.

pixi beauty, pixi, skin care, beauty, glowtion day dew, glow mist, beauty sleep cream, 24K eye elixir, pixi beauty skin care, pixi skin care, review, beauty review, #pixiglow, pixi glow,

The Glowtion Day Dew ($22.00) is a radiance-boosting moisturizer for a lit-from-within glow.  This moisturizer is lightweight and soothes the skin while blurring imperfections & giving you the glow your skin tends to lack during the winter months.  It offers an advanced illuminating skin-perfector finish and nourishes while giving a boost to dull skin.  I love how hydrating this product is and since my skin is absolutely death dry, this product really helps to keep it moisturized through out the day.  My skin looks healthier and much more even.

With lavender oil to help calm the skin, kaolin to help purify and mica to add a luminous and brightening glow – this product has literally been my go-to over the last few weeks.  I use it in the morning and apply a really thin layer to my cleansed and toned skin.  To add a little extra glow, I simply dab a little extra onto the high points of my face for a luminous finish.  Since I don’t use foundation, I love to use this product on it’s own, but it works well under your foundation or BB Cream and makes a great base for your makeup.

Ingredients:  Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Glycerin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Titanium Dioxide, Cetyl, PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Chloride, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Mica, Calcium Titanium Borosilicate, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Tin Oxide, Silica, Kaolin, Silica Silylate. 35 ml/ 1.18 fl.oz.

The Glow Mist ($15.00) is a mist-on anytime type of mist that has 13 natural oils and propolis.  I LOVE this thing.  Again, since my skin is so dry during the winter months – this mist is the perfect travel companion.  I use it to help refresh or revive my makeup or to hydrate my skin while out and about or at home.  I have my eyes set on the Hydrating Milky Mist and plan to get my hands on that too (more on that in the future).  Anyway, back to the Glow Mist… this product gives your skin a glowing, luminous and smooth complexion.  With natural oils plus propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts to help hydrate, protect and nourish your skin.  It’s a multi-use mist and you can use it for setting your makeup or to add a dewy finish to your skin.  Looking to protect your skin, refresh your makeup or add some extra glow?  Well, this is the mist for you.  I especially love that it is suited for all skin types.

I literally spray this mist in the morning and night when needed.  It’s easy to use, just shake to mix it up, close your eyes and mist over your face & neck.  It is a light weight mist, smells refreshing and earthy and it’s not sticky at all.  With the additives of Tea tree Oil, Jojoba Oil, Macadamia Oil and so much more I get all the benefits of some of my favorite oils and hydrated skin when I need it.

Ingredients:  Water, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Propolis Extract, Niacinamide, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Rose Flower Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender)

Beauty Sleep Cream ($24.00) is a great nutrient-rich nighttime essential to help protect and nourish your skin.  This is a great addition to any winter time routine, especially for those with dry skin – because it is not only nourishing but comforts and soothes your skin, prepping it for the next day.  Fast absorbing and rich in nutrients, this product is a great night-time essential to help hydrate your skin while you sleep.  Made with 100% natural mango butter, oils of lavender, lemon and bergamot and other great ingredients – this product is the perfect night time moisturizer.

I apply a thin layer to my clean and toned skin at night prior to bed and let it do it’s trick.  When I wake up in the morning, my skin is soft and supple and hydrated to start the day.

Ingredients: Water, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Hexyl Laurate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Glacier Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Squalane, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Triethanolamine, Potassium Hydroxide, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Allantoin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Butylene Glycol, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Octyldodecanol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Disodium EDTA, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Pentylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, BHT. 35 ml / 1.18 fl.oz.

Lastly out of the bunch is the Pixi 24K Eye Elixir ($22.00) has been a favorite for me the last month.  I use eye creams, gels and roller balls in various sorts under and around my eye area to keep it hydrated and help with any fine lines I have from allergies and I have found this product is a great one for all of that.  This elixir is an anti-fatigue peptide serum that massages away puffiness as it smooths and refreshes the eye area.  A multi-tasker of sorts that is infused with powerful age-defying ingredients to help refresh eyes and prevent the signs of fatigue.  With Collagen to help repair the delicate eye area, peptides to help plump fine lines and raspberry to tone the skin – you get a great all in one that’s perfect for everyday use.

I love putting this elixir in the fridge for a while to cool the product and the rollerball applicator to help awaken my senses and my eyes each morning.  The applicator is cool and soothes the eye while encouraging circulation.  You can use this in the morning or at night and it’s as easy as rolling the applicator under the eye from inner to outer corner approximately 2-3 times.  Since I don’t have any heavy wrinkles, I do notice a big difference in how hydrated and awake my under eyes look as well as the de-puffing in that area (though I do not have really bad puffy eyes).  This product is perfect for me to use on days when I woke up after a restless night or if my allergies are bothering me.

Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Trideceth-10, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Iron Oxides (CI 15985, CI 17200), Steareth-20, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Potassium Sorbate, Gold, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. 10ml/ 0.34 fl.oz.

I think, like with all skin care – it really is about the person’s individual tastes, skin type and what they want to do for their skin.  Pixi products are reasonably priced – a little higher in price point then your standard drugstore finds, but I have been loving their products thus far.  I’m very impressed with this particular products because winter is when my skin is most delicate, sensitive and finicky and when I can try a set of products without any issue – I consider that a win in my book.  Each of these products offer your skin some glow while keeping it hydrated and luminous and let’s face it – your skin is most dull in the winter months so anything that will give you luminosity, is a huge plus.  If I had to choose just one product out of the four that I can’t simply live without, I think the Glowtion Day Dew would probably be it and of course, the 24K Eye Elixir is a must-have in my book.  All of the products are wonderful regardless and if you’re near a Target or love to shop online, I highly suggest checking them out.

You can learn more about Pixi Beauty on their website at: https://www.pixibeauty.com/ or at your local Target store.

I’m quite impressed with myself – to be honest, that I was able to release most of my Holiday Gift Guides by the first week of December.  Let’s all stand and give me a round of applause, shall we?  lol – All kidding aside, I’m pretty happy with myself this year because I laid out a schedule and I kept with it.  Today, I’m sharing with you a gift guide that I’m absolutely excited about, because it’s one of my favorites to do each year.  When it comes to Stocking Stuffers, I find that they can be the easiest gift to buy for anyone on your holiday gift giving list.  Why?  Well, because anything that you can fit in a Christmas stocking goes… and for me – that means I get to pick up all the little nifty products that I would love to get or receive as a gift and it can always be something fun, practical or unpractical and definitely interesting.  I have a wide list of products that fit into this list so this is going to be a long post – so without further adieu, let’s get started.

Hickies Lacing System is by far one of my favorite gifts to give for the holiday.  Each pack is small enough to fit into a stocking (of most sizes) and anyone who wears shoes with traditional laces will love these.  I own about 8 pairs myself, using them to change up my shoes from time to time and to fit my personality for the day.  Sneaker designs change but one thing that remains the same, are laces.  You’ll never have to tie a shoelace again and once you go Hickies, you’ll never go back to traditional laces.

I couldn’t mention a cool pair of laces without mentioning something along the lines of fitness and the MilestonePod is definitely a great stocking stuffer.  This little device is perfect for any runner or walker and whether you’re training for your first 5K or just getting into shape or staying active, this is the perfect gear for you.  This wearable pod not only tracks your running metrics, but it also tells you when it’s time to replace your shoes and it helps to prevent many common injuries a new running should definitely have in their toolkit.

When it comes to gift giving – I do my best to offer functional gifts to friends and family.  A gift that you can expect from me or a stocking stuffer for all to see would be a reusable tote.  Here in Hawaii, plastic bags are banned and unable to be given out at grocery markets so a great tote makes a perfect gift for anyone.  Urban Market Bags to the rescue.  With Urban Market bags you get 3 or 6 bags per drawstring pack which means you basically have your needs covered with bags should you need them.

Urban Market Bags come in contemporary colors that look great (I don’t know about you but I’m not a fan of that bright blue bag you get at one of those big box stores) and they are made of high quality, durable and machine washable fabric.  What I love about them is that they fold up small to fit in a handbag or cupholder of your car as well as a Christmas Stocking and they are just perfect for everyday.Urban Market bags are great to take to the soccer or in my case football field, gym or grocery store and I love that you have three or more bags to take with you and have bags that are stylish.

I certainly didn’t forget about the kiddos in our lives.  Stocking Stuffers are so fun to shop for when it comes to kids because they are so happy to get fun little things that they can play with.  My sons are no exception and I love that we can easily put small and fun gifts into their stocking and they will cherish it all.  Lego Mixels are one of my favorite things to stash into a stocking each year.  Mixels are created by Lego and are similar to basic lego in that you can build different characters utilizing a set of legos to create from.  My sons love them and have quite a collection of these little guys so it’s always fun to add to their sets.

Lego Mixels can be purchased at different locations like Walmart, Target and other stores and I love that they range in price from $4.99 and up so there is a Mixels set for anyone.

The National Geographic Bug Dig Kits are something my sons love and that I love giving out as gifts.  Each set allows you to dig up 3 real bugs and kids love to uncover these perfectly preserved insect specimens (spiny spider, fortune beetle and scorpion).  Of course – there are a bunch of different bug kits online and National Geographic and Dr. Cool’s kits are our favorites.  These make great stocking stuffers or gifts and offer an educational adventure for each child that gets one.  Children will learn all about their speciments as well as many other fascinating anthropods and it becomes a cool interactive lesson with a hands-on science kit.  The bugs can be kept and inspected in all angles as the bugs are preserved in transparent acrylic for easy examination.

These fun sets retail for about $10 – $20 and can be purchased here.

Like most of my gift guides this 2016 – this one is particularly lengthy, but I wanted to ensure to provide all of you, my readers with a variety of different things to help inspire your holiday gift shopping.  Christmas is 13 days away and if you’re still out shopping, I definitely suggest checking out some of these finds.  A few things I didn’t include in my gift guide but definitely suggest are:

  • Pens or Pencils (I love getting new fun gel pens for the holiday – they are great gifts for a planner lover or student)
  • Candy Canes (I absolutely love seeing all of the different candy canes now available in stores, grab a box of canes and put a few in a stocking.  Because, everyone loves a great sweet treat)
  • Body lotion (I didn’t include this one in the list, but I love getting some new body lotion for holidays – anything sweet smelling is right for me)
  • homemade goods (I make a pie or chex mix, homemade fudge or something delectable to give to my postman, delivery guys and friends and family.  Sometimes making things from the heart are the best goods anyone will receive)

** Holiday Gift Giving Tip: Keep in mind shipping times and delivery schedule when ordering online and find out from the company prior to purchasing if it will be shipped and delivered in time for holiday gift giving.

When it comes to makeup – I have an overall love relationship with most of the things I’ve tried.  I pride myself in the fact that I have favorites from both the drugstore and high end, luxury items.  There’s no doubt, I’m a makeup lover with an extreme cosmetic addition… hehe!  Don’t judge me, lol!  I have been using Pixi Beauty products for a few years now, but today I’m sharing with you a few of my current Pixi Beauty favorites.  Recently I received a little green box of treats and I have been loving them all so much that I just had to share it with you.  Let’s chit chat about each one shall we?

Pixi Beauty, Pixi, cosmetics, makeup, review, product review, beauty review, beauty, pixi nourishing cleansing balm, pixi glow tonic, pixi rose oil blend, pixi beauty blush duo and kabuki in peach honey, peach honey, pixi liplift max, pixi products, cosmetic products, swatches,

All of the products I got in my little sweet green box were “new to me” treats so I was very excited to dive in and check it out.  The Nourishing Cleansing Balm is something that I’ve had my eyes on since seeing it on the website a few weeks ago.  This deep cleansing balm-to-oil cleanser immediately caught my attention because I cleanse and moisturize with oil daily, so it was something I really wanted to give a try.  The balm melts aware makeup and impurities to leave you with clear, glowing skin.

Retailing for $22.00 (90 mL/3.04 fl.oz.), this nourishing balm has sweet almond oil and cocoa butter and leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized after each use.  I love that it includes skin loving ingredients and is not harmful to my sensitive skin.  If I had to choose one of my absolute FAVORITE products from Pixi that I’ve tried, this balm right here, would be at the top of my list.  I LOVE IT!  It’s very rich in texture, but smooths onto the skin so nicely and cleanses so quickly.  It nourishes my skin with sweet almond oil, shea butter and vitamin E to leave my skin feeling plum and nourished.

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Behenate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Cocoate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Cetyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance.

To follow the Nourishing Cleansing Balm, I use the Pixi Glow Tonic (100mL / $15.00).  Now – they call this a cult favorite and I’ve been hearing my blogger friends swoon and rave about this product for a while, so I just couldn’t wait to try it out.  This toner is an exfoliating toner that helps give you brighter, more radiant skin.  I have a secret to share… I can’t use Toner often and hardly use it because it causes my skin to get irritated.  I was afraid to try this, even if I had only heard great things about it.  This miracle in a bottle toner helps to bright the complexion while resulting in a healthy glow.  It’s formulated with 5% glycolic acid and helps to exfoliate, brighten and smooth your skin.  With Aloe Vera, ginseng and botanical extracts working together, you are nourishing and treating your skin while revealing an improved complexion.  I also LOVE that this is alcohol-free.  I use this after cleansing and apply with one of my favorite reusable rounds from Facekins.  I don’t notice any burning or irritation while using this product and my skin looks brighter after using it for a few weeks.  While I’m not the toning kind of gal, I think this will be one I’ll continue to use.

Ingredients: Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Glycolic Acid, Ammonium Glycolate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol (and) Fructose (and) Glucose (and) Sucrose (and) Urea (and) Dextrin (and) Alanine (and) Glutamic Acid (and) Aspartic Acid (and) Hexyl Nicotinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Biotin, Polysorbate 20.

The Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend ($24 – 30 mL/1.01 fl.oz.) is also a product I have not tried before.  It includes a botanical blend infused with powerful complex of youth-preserving oils to help improve skin’s elasticity and glow.  Formulated with sweet almond, rose hip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils to help nourish the complexion, leaving my skin feeling smooth and hydrated… but most importantly – soft to the touch.  If you’ve been following me a while, then you know I’m an oil moisturizer gal – I use coconut oil to moisturize each night with my regular skin care routine, so I’m always excited to try out new oils.  I love this one.  I love the packaging – but the oil applies and soaks into my skin so quickly and easily.  I love mixing this with my standard skin care regimen for moisture that lasts all day and night and my skin feels so incredibly soft.  The oil soaks into my skin quickly, it doesn’t sit on the surface like others can do.  It doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily at all – but moisturized and half a dropper full is more than enough to cover my entire face, neck and decollete area.  If I want to have that dewy/glowing skin look, I will blend the Rose Oil Blend with my regular moisturizer and apply to my face.  It leaves my skin looking and feeling like I just stepped out from under a waterfall – fresh and glowing.

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

Ah, of course – I can’t leave out a gorgeous highlight, because we all know that Honey loves to glow.  The Beauty Blush Duo & Kabuki in Peach Honey ($18 – 10.21 g/0.35 oz.) is GORGEOUS.  I love a great highlight but I have a skin tone that is not quite dark but not light at all – an in between.  So because of this, a daily highlighter and blush with shimmer is hard to find… well, until now.  This gorgeous blush and highlighter duo is perfect for that lit-from-within look for fuss free beauty in just a few seconds.  Simple swirl the kabuki brush (which is included – woohoo), into the compact and pick up the color to apply to your cheeks for a great and gorgeous glow.  Both powders are super silky and provide your cheeks with a flawless and fresh finish.  I LOVE these for everyday use because it provides me with the glow I want in an everyday product, without looking like I just came out of the disco era… but still enough color to be show stopping.

The natural mineral formula of these powders is infused with vitamin E and mica, so it treats your skin as you wear it.  You get hydration and long wear with light diffusing capabilities.  The Kabuki brush that is included is also a steal.  It’s soft and applies the product nicely to the skin.  Definitely a great duo to have for every day use or those days you are feeling you want a little more glam.  I love golden hued highlighters so this takes the cake for me and the peachy toned blush is perfect for my everyday look.  The blush is a tad bit too light for my skin tone, but that excites me more because it makes for a great everyday flush of color without looking like I just plopped rose colored paint on my face.  I love both shades – both pigmented and gorgeous.

It seems as if I have covered everything except for lips.  I want to introduce you to the Pixi Beauty Liplift Max ($14 – 2.7 g / 0.09oz).  A volume-maximizing lip treatment with peptides to hydrate and plump the lips… YAAAASSSSS… sign me up!  This volume-maximizing lip treatment has a cooling sensation with a glossy finish.  It is formulated with peptides to hydrate, firm and plump the lips.  You also get an added benefit of aloe to  heal, jojoba to moisturize and chamomile to soothe.  With a fresh mint flavor, you simply can’t go wrong.  I have the Liplift Max in Honey Sheen – a gorgeous nude shade.  All of the three shades (including Honey Sheen) are sheer, but they make perfect toppers to your favorite lipsticks or liners and wear nicely.  I’m not a huge gloss fan but I do tend to wear glosses in the winter months and this one is perfect for such.  It helps to hydrate my lips while leaving them looking plump and full.  I am a huge fan of Buxom lip glosses so I had used those to compare to this one.  It seems like this one offers the plumping without the sting and I like the minty flavor.

I think the LipLift Max is perfect for topping off your matte lippies and while it is a bit sticky, it’s not that bad and still wearable in my book.  I’ve been getting lots of use out of this product for a daily lip gloss and I find that it works as I would expect.  It’s a little thick, but still workable and leaves a gorgeous sheen on the lips.  If you are a fan of glosses, you may like this one.

I love when I have the chance to try out new products from a brand I already love.  It’s especially fun when these new products work well with my sensitive skin.  I’ve always been a fan of Pixi Beauty and have talked about many of their products in the past.  I’m loving trying out some things that are new to me.  I’m sure there will be more products in the future that I’ll try and love because Pixi is one of those brands that offer good quality.  Pixi products are a little more costly than your average drugstore finds, but I am so excited to have Target near me now that I can browse through and pick up my favorites.  If you haven’t tried Pixi before, I highly suggest checking them out.  If I had to choose just one item from all of these I featured, I highly suggest the Nourishing Cleansing Balm – seriously, it’s a favorite for sure.

Oh my gosh, I hope I’m not too late in posting this or that Lorac decides that they will do another release for more palettes before the year is up.  But, today I wanted to share with you my thoughts, swatches and so much more on the Lorac Mega Pro 3 Palette.  This Limited Edition release had me drooling because I’m a huge fan of Lorac Pro Palettes and the quality of the shadows.  I own Lorac Mega Pro 1 and 2 so skipping out on this one was not the choice I was allowing myself to make.  Besides, I had been really good with expenditures all year this 2016, so I felt I deserved to pick this baby up and enjoy.  I also didn’t get my hands on Lorac Pro 3 palette so I figured that I would get Mega Pro 3 and be one happy camper.  For the third year in a row, I set my alarm to pick this baby up as soon as it was released, so I’ve actually had this palette in my possession now for just about 3 weeks and I’m finally ready to share my thoughts with all of you.

Let’s take a look at this beauty shall we?  First of all, the packaging is gorgeous and sports that metallic lettering on the front of the palette itself.  I love that Rose Gold and it absolutely has stolen my heart.  The palette itself is white… hmmmm… yes, I did say it – WHITE!  It’s not ideal considering my other palettes are dark blue and red, and white can be a challenge to clean, but nonetheless, I digress… it’s not preferred, but I’ll try to make it work. haha!

Like the other Mega Pro palettes, the Mega Pro 3 sports that cardboard packaging, thin and compact considering the palette itself is HUGE.  I like that Carol & Lorac kept with the themes of the others and created a signature look to keep within the family.  The lid seals magnetically (fairly well if I might add) and all of the shades within the palette are laid out the same as the others, with their names listed below each color (one of my favorite things about these palettes).

This palette sports 32 shades with the top two rows being the matte shadows (16 total) and the bottom two rows being the metallic and shimmery shades (16 total).  This palette is quite different from some of the others as there are only two repeat shades in this palette and the others are all new and exclusive to the Mega Pro 3.

When it comes to designing the functionality of a palette, I think Lorac really has it going for them.  I love that each palettes has the shades laid out from light to dark – left to right.  This makes it easy to create a look and a great way to lay the colors on your eyes – your highlights being on the left, transition and crease shades towards the middle and crease and outer v towards the ends.  You can also pick and choose any color you want to place on the lid.  It’s definitely a great selection and the color range is something I love.

There are a lot of different neutral tones in this palette with a few pops of color.  I’m definitely in love with each shade because these are the types of shades I tend to gravitate to often.  The palette mainly consists of warm tones, but there are some cool tones within the palette which come together to make this a favorite of mine.

Let’s take a look at each shade in the palette, shall we?

I’ve been getting a lot of use out of the bronze and brown shades in different variations of color.  Just like the other Lorac Pro palettes I own (currently in my possession I have Lorac Pro 1 and 2 and Mega Pro 1, 2 and now 3), the Lorac Mega Pro 3 offers you gorgeous and butter shades.  The mattes are very smooth and silky in texture and blend onto the lid like a dream.  I love the matte shades especially because while they are so soft and satin like, they are just enough color for me to use as a transition or blending shade, but still offer a punch of color when they need to be built up.  The shimmer and metallic shades are just as divine as others I have used from Lorac.  They are so buttery and soft, but they can kick up some dust, so be sure to tap off any excess on your brush and apply to the eyes with a patting motion instead of sweeping motion.

Jet Black is quite a bold shade, with a powdery kick up and really needs to be packed on to eliminate fall out, but it’s a gorgeous shade for an eye liner or in place of your traditional liner as well.  But, taking the time to familiarize yourself with the palette and how it works would be best, as I find that most of Lorac shadows offer a bit of fall out, but it’s worth it in the end for me, I love them.

I don’t have an Ulta near me, so I had to order this charm online the day it was released.  I’m glad I made the purchase though, I’m seriously in love with this palette.  I know there are a lot of these types of palettes, neutrals I mean, on the market today – so finding one that offers your versatility and ease of use can be a challenge.  I’m sure there are similar shades to these in palettes I already owned, but remember… I said I needed to complete my collection and now I have the Trifecta.

I’m not sure if this palette is still available for sale in various Ulta stores, but I know it’s been sold out online through Ulta’s website for a minute now.  If you love neutral shades and are looking for a palette that offers it all, I definitely suggest snatching this up if you come across it in your local Ulta store.  If you can’t get your hands on this beauty, I’m so sorry – but I know I definitely had to share it with you – it’s gorgeous.

  • Cost of Lorac Mega Pro 3 – $59.00
  • Availability – Ulta Stores (if sold out), this is a Limited Edition item.

Have you had the opportunity to get your hands on the Lorac Mega Pro 3?  If so, what are your thoughts, if not – are you crushing on this palette?
