Welcome to a new year and a fresh start! Today, I’m sharing a Get Ready With Me (GRWM) experience featuring the gorgeous Alter Ego Mishaven Palette. This palette has been my go-to for creating soft glam looks that feel perfect for kicking off the year with a little sparkle. But this post isn’t just about makeup—it’s about life, emotions, and finding ways to push through when you’re in a funk.

Life Updates & New Year Reflections

Let’s be real—this year hasn’t started the way I hoped. I’ve been feeling emotional and stuck in a bit of a funk. The post-holiday blues and the pressure of New Year’s resolutions have been weighing on me. In this post, I’ll talk about how I’ve been processing these feelings and what I’m doing to reset my mindset.

The Mishaven Palette: A Makeup Therapy Moment

Makeup has always been therapeutic for me, and the Alter Ego Mishaven Palette is a standout. Its versatile shades make it easy to create looks that go from everyday chic to full glam.

This palette is not only affordable but also a great alternative to higher-end brands.

Tips for Getting Out of a Funk

While makeup is my creative escape, here are a few other tips I’ve been leaning on to feel better:

  1. Journaling: Writing down my thoughts has helped clear my head.
  2. Self-Care Rituals: Whether it’s a face mask or a walk outside, little things matter.
  3. Setting Small Goals: Achieving even tiny tasks boosts my motivation.

Final Look & Thoughts

After creating this look, I felt a sense of accomplishment and calm—a reminder that self-expression can be a powerful tool for healing. Check out my full GRWM video on YouTube here to see the step-by-step process and hear more about my journey.

Happy Happy Tuesday friends! Over the last month or two, I’ve been seeing the Glamnetic Magnetic Lashes ads all over Facebook and Instagram… even Tiktok. I’ll admit that I was irritated that it kept popping up in my feed (darn algorithm) but absolutely intrigued. So, I had to order some and try it out for myself. I just posted a new video on my YouTube channel all about it. I didn’t have a chance to really take any photos of the products but wanted to share. So, without further adieu, I want to introduce you to Glamnetic Magnetic Lashes!

The V-Gan Volume Collection

I purchased the Glamnetic V-Gan Volume Collection. The collection retails for $187.94 but is currently on sale for $149.99 (please note pricing may have changed). I also got an additional discount, using a code that was shared on the Glamnetic Instagram Page. The collection includes all-vegan magnetic lashes and a liquid magnetic eyeliner.

  • Vibe: cat-eye style lash
  • Viral: semi-wispy lash
  • Vacay: criss-crossed round lash

About the Lashes

The bundle of lashes is made from high-quality synthetic fibers and ultra-dramatic styles. Each strip lash has 6 magnets for maximum hold and can be trimmed to fit your eye length. These lashes are good for up to 40 uses if properly cared for and they come with a nice magnetic case for storage.

The lashes do not require glue and therefore there is no clumping on the band if you take care of them. Glamnetic suggests scratching off the dried magnetic liner from the magnets in-between use.

Application

In the video I show a quick demo while explaining how to apply. If you are someone who uses liquid liner with a brush tip applicator, this will be simple and easy to do. Simply apply the liner to your lash line (I try to stay away from my natural lashes if possible) and let dry a few short seconds. Then take your lashes and apply close to the base of your eyelid. You will see the magic happen as the lashes stick onto the liner.

Removal of the lashes and liner

Taking off the lashes was pretty easy. I just lightly pulled them off and while they were on there pretty good, they came off quite easily. Removing the liner was as easy as using micellar water for waterproof makeup and/or my cleansing balm from Pixi Beauty. I made sure to use the cleansing balm after the micellar water if the liner got into my natural lashes, to ensure I removed it all. I was definitely impressed at how simple it was to remove it. It did take me some practice and I realized quickly that it was simple if I took my time.

Overall Thoughts

This Glamnetic Lashes Bundle is quite an investment. I knew it when I ordered it and I had high hopes that it would work for me. The lashes cost a pretty penny, (especially considering I can spend $20 for a magnetic lash and liner set from KISS) but, I am glad I ordered it. This collection really got me excited about using lashes again. My eyes have sensitivities to lash glues in the past and I used a pot magnetic liner from Ardell which I was not happy with. I also tried the top/bottom magnetic lashes and those were a complete flop.

I have been using my lashes daily and loving it each and every time. If these lashes were not on sale (I paid about $125 for the set), I would probably have passed on buying it. Do I have buyer’s remorse? Nah… I think I’ll get the use out of these babies, I know that I have so far.

Do I think it’s worth it? Again, if you get it at about $125 like I did, or cheaper… I say check it out. But, if spending that money is gonna put you on the streets, then obviously – no. Honestly though, who am I to tell you how to spend your money? LOL! I will say though… that if you have to replace the liner or the lashes after the investment – you may wanna check out other drugstore type alternatives.

I’m so excited to introduce to all of you the new ESQIDO Liner.  Recently I had the opportunity to try out two liners from ESQIDO in the colors black and brown.  Let’s just say that I’ve been using it like crazy the last month.  Today, I’m sharing my thoughts with all of you on these products.

ESQIDO recently released their new silky and smooth gel liner pencils in the colors black and brown.  These incredibly silky liners are so creamy, they glide on with the ease of a gel liner, without the fuss of having to use a liner brush.  They are so incredibly pigmented, that they apply effortlessly.  Use these liners to create your perfect cat eye or winged liner with no fuss.

About ESQIDO Gel Eyeliner Pencils

The ESQIDO Eyeliners are specially formulated to provide you with all-day wear.  I found that these wore really well on my waterline throughout the day, even with my watery eyes.  They deliver continuous flow and even lines down to the last stroke.

As you can see from the swatch photo above, the formula of each liner is smooth.  A little goes a long way to provide you with pigmented coverage for those stunning eyeliner looks.  I especially love using these liners as a base for some of my eyeshadow looks.  Since the liner formula is so creamy and smooth, you can blend them to use as an eyeshadow base.  However, they will stay put on the eyes as a regular liner look if you wear it that way.

Sharpening Your Liner

To keep your liner doing precision work for you, the liner also includes a precision sharpener.  At any time you can simply sharpen your liner for your best work.  I love that there is this option because it makes for a perfect travel companion.

** In the photos above I’m using my favorite mascara and the ESQIDO Black Gel Eyeliner Pencil (first two images) and ESQIDO Brown Gel Eyeliner Pencil (last photo) on my waterline/tight line.  Since my lashes are so short and thin, this liner helps to create the illusion that I have thicker lashes.

My favorite way to wear these liners is on my waterline.  This allows me to wear mascara and enhance my normal lash line so that my lashes look full and dark.

The Formula and Product Details

Formula details:  Each liner is 5-free and latex-free.  They are formulated without formaldehyde, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.  The liners are fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive eyes.  Each eyeliner comes with 0.5g worth of product.  ESQIDO Gel Eyeliner Pencils provide you with continuous even flower that covers perfectly in one coat.  The liner dries matte and is perfect to wear on its own or with your favorite eyeshadow.

Price:  $12.00 (Limited Time Launch Pricing)

Each liner is packed with product, in a casing that has a retractable body.  Inside of the liner casing is a silicone ring closure to provide an airtight seal.  ESQIDO designed this liner so that it is made to last and you can use it until the last stroke.

Ingredients

Brown:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Synthetic Wax, C30-50 Alcohols, Plymethysilsesquoixane, Silica, Microcrystalline Wax, Acetylate Glycol Stearate, Triethoxycapryllsilane, Aluminum Hydroxide, Mica (CI77019), Titanium Dioxide Oxides (CI77891), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499)

Black:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Synthetic Wax, C30-50 Alcohols, Plymethysilsesquoixane, Silica, Polybutene, Microcrystalline Wax, Acetylate Glycol Stearate, Triethoxycapryllsilane, Mica (CI77019), Iron Oxides (CI77499), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI77510)

My Final Thoughts

These liners are so soft that they make it incredibly easy to apply to my already sensitive eyes.  But, they are not so soft that it just crumbles or melts when applying it.  I love that they come with a built-in sharpener for a precision tip in seconds.  Furthermore, even with my watery eyes, I don’t have to worry about smearing, bunching or running.  It’s my favorite to use on my waterline and they wear all day and for hours on me.  If you use ESQIDO False lashes, this is the perfect companion.  It will help you blend your false lashes seamlessly with your natural lashes.  I am also a huge fan of the overall packaging.  You get a luxury product feel and quality product.  I am a fan and I hope that ESQIDO makes more colors in the future.

About two months ago I was introduced to Emme Diane by a fellow beauty blogger named Jen (MyBeautyBunny).  She raved about how great the Emme Diane Tinted Mineral SPF 40 was and I knew that I just had to get my hands on the product and try it out for myself.  Living in such a warm climate like Hawaii, I was immediately smitten over the Emme Diane Tinted Mineral SPF 40, so much so – that I had to share it with all of you.

emme diane, tinted mineral spf, skin care, skincare, spf 40, tinted mineral spf 40, beauty, makeup, mattifying spf, sheer tint spf, tinted moisturizer, physical sunscreen, water resistant sunscreen, good for the ocean, non-comedogenic, silky finish, susncreen, sweat resistant,

The Emme Diane Tinted Mineral SPF 40 retails for $46.00.  First, I wanted to touch base on the packaging of the product itself.  I’m all about that easy to dispense life and the product is easily dispensed through a pump that makes application a breeze.  I just wanted to put that out there, because the “no fuss, no muss” life is for me.

Okay, now that I have gotten that out of the way – let’s talk product.  The Emme Diane website states that this tinted mineral sunscreen has a cult following and boy, let me just say – I can see why.  Living in Hawaii, I want to make sure to help protect our precious coral but I need the protection from the sun that we experience more than 90% of the year.  Emme Diane offers this Physical sunscreen with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide to not only protect our skin but also our ocean wildlife.  The sunscreen applies so effortlessly and I love that it glides onto my skin without any issues.

The product is soft and silky and applies easily with my fingertips or using a brush.  I tend to put it on after applying my moisturizer each day and while it is tinted, it offers a soft tint to help even out skin tone which is perfect for me.  Emme Diane suggests applying it every 80 minutes after swimming or sweating, but I love using it on its own when out running errands or during a normal day for that sun protection that my skin needs.  It is also suggested to apply at least every 2 hours.

Using Emme Diane Tinted SPF 40

The Emme Diane Tinted Mineral SPF 40 offers you a sheer, mattifying look to the skin while leaving your skin feeling silky smooth (so it’s perfect for applying before makeup).  I love that because it is non-comedogenic I haven’t had any breakouts and I have had minimal white cast when using this product.  It blends into my skin tone perfectly.  I have been dealing with many sensitive skin issues the last few months due to some health complications, so I really wanted to try something that would be gentle on my skin and this has been it.  I’m not lying when I say that I LOVE this sunscreen.

I want to try out the Illuminating Tinted SPF next because with summer on its way, I’m all about that glow.

As a busy wife and mommy, I honestly don’t get out very often and when I do, I feel like I never have the time to really dress up and get glam.  It’s no one else’s fault but my own, honestly.  I just have so much on my plate, that a great night out means a date with my pillow.  When I do have the time to go out with my husband, I like to dress up and look super pretty so getting glam is important for me.  Whether you are getting glam for Valentine’s Day or Gal-entine’s Day, a little va-va-voom will definitely take your look to the next level.  Recently, I was given the opportunity to try a few mink lashes from Esqido.  I have heard of the brand many many times, but have never tried anything from them.  I have some of the shortest lashes so a great pair that is not only full, but lightweight is so important for me.  I wanted to share with all of you two pairs that I’ve been loving lately.  Let’s get down to lashes, shall we?

glam lashes, lashes, false lashes, esqido, mink lashes, affordable lashes, mink false lashes, review, beauty, makeup, valentine's day glam, glam makeup,

Esqido mink lashes retail at different price points – between $24 and $32.  They offer a variety of upper and lower lashes and everyday styles to glam and dramatic ones.  There are a lot of lashes to choose from, so I guarantee you’ll find a pair that you’ll love.

Esqido’s goal was to provide their customers with a collection of fine mink eyelashes that offered unparalleled quality and craftsmanship.  The traditional synthetic false lashes were designed to be worn for a short period of time, and while a more affordable option, they didn’t offer the longevity and comfort as well as natural look of real mink fur that Esqido wanted to provide for their customers.  Each pair of lashes is made of genuine mink and hold a natural curl.  They have a soft cotton band that makes them lightweight and comfortable.

So, I had the opportunity to try out the lashes in Lash Named Desire and Unforgettable.  Each of these gorgeous lashes is such a gorgeous set that I didn’t even want to take them out of their packaging.  Oh, did I mention the packaging?  Each pair of lashes comes in a beautifully made white and rose gold box with a magnetic closure.  These boxes are perfect for storing your mink lashes till the next use.  You also get a care guide that teaches you how to care for your lashes so they will last for several uses.  My gosh, such a pretty addition to their whole collection.  The packaging is definitely something I loved looking at.

Each pair of lashes that I tried were extremely comfortable to wear.  Since I have very short and thin natural lashes, often times a thicker band on my lash line can be extremely irritating to my eyes.  They can also be difficult to apply since they do not have natural lashes that they can sit on.  I was beyond impressed by how easy these were to put on and how lightweight they were.  I forgot that I had them on for hours.

Lash Named Desire ($29.00) is a medium volume pair mink lash that features a gorgeous and sultry combination of crisscrossed fur that is winged-out at the ends.  This is a great statement lash that offers a good amount of drama, but is still versatile and definitely seductive.  The lashes are not only pretty, but they are very soft and while they offer the eyes a little drama, they are still very comfortable to wear.  The band is thick, but not so thick that it will look too heavy on the eyes.

Length:  4-12mm  Handcrafted cotton band and able to be used multiple times.

Unforgettable ($28.00) is my favorite everyday pair.  It’s a very natural and elegant lash and features a gradient of increasing length and thickness across the lash band.  The result is a subtle winged out effect that is perfect to use for that little extra flair.  These lashes are so so lightweight which make them easy for me to use daily.  They just feel different on the eyes than other mink lashes I have tried.  Again, they are soft and comfortable.

Length:  5-10mm  Handcrafted cotton band and able to be used multiple times.

I have Illumina on my list to pick up since I haven’t really found a gorgeous thick lash like that one that would fit me well.  After trying out the two pairs that I have, I think I’ll enjoy it.

Get Glam for Valentine's Day with Esqido Mink Lashes

I don’t use false lashes as often as I once did before, but I love that if I want a little pick me up and a side order of glam, I have the option to throw on one of these beauties and spice up my look.  Yes, they are a bit pricey, but look at it this way – you can reuse them.  With proper care, you can totally get many uses out of your lashes.  I am loving Esqido and I can’t wait to try more.

Want to try out a pair for yourself?  Check out Esqido Mink Lashes to see what’s available and take the Lash Quiz.  Also – don’t forget to pick up their Companion Lash Glue for the perfect lash look.
