I absolutely love love Fall and look forward to the season each year, though Hawaii doesn’t experience the change in weather or scenery as much as other places around the World.  I embrace scarves, boots and of course – all the makeup that tends to be on trend during that time of the year so I knew I just had to get my hands on the new shadows ColourPop rolled out recently from their “Throwback” Collection.  Today I share with you the ColourPop Fall 2015 Collection.

ColourPop Throws It Back - Fall 2015 Collection

ColourPop’s Fall 2015 Collection brings back all the memories of my teens with a Throwback to the 90s.  The collection includes six lippie stix with six matching lip pencils, ten eye shadows (one is a pressed pigment) and two blushes.  Since I have a pretty extensive collection of ColourPop goodies, I decided on six eye shadows to add to my collection as they looked like the ones I would enjoy the most.  I wanted to get Stereo which would have been an awesome addition to my collection, but it was sold old when I ordered.  I hope to pick that one up soon.

ColourPop Throws It Back - Fall 2015 Collection

Supermodel is a gorgeous soft golden ivory with a pearlized finish.

Mixed Tape is a mid toned cool grey with a pearlized finished.

Party Time is a dusty mauve grey with a matte finish.  This is a great transition shade for those deep dark black smoky eyes or works well on the lid.

Plaid is a blackened olive shade.  They categorize this as a matte shade, however – I think it is a matte base with gold and copper reflex mixed in.

Central Perk is a gorgeous deep maroon shade that is show stopping and one of my favorites.  If you have Hustle – please know that this shade is not the same… it’s unique all it’s own.  Central Perk is a matte shade.

Boy Band is an intense red copper in an Ultra Metallic finish.  It’s gorgeous and oh man will it be a favorite of mine for smoky eyes.  I LOVE IT.

ColourPop Throws It Back - Fall 2015 Collection

With this order I also got Shark Attack – which is a mid-tone warm coral with a gold duo chrome shift in a pearlized finish.  It is gorgeous and I felt that I needed to pick this particular shade because while it could be worn year round, this could be a great accent for Fall.  It kind of reminds me of a coral version of Expensive Pink from MAC – and I love it.

ColourPop Throws It Back - Fall 2015 Collection

If you are a lover of Shark Attack like me, this shade would make a beautiful eye look along with Central Perk and Boy Band.  The three shades together create such a gorgeous Fall Berry look that is bright, bold and showstopping.  When I get a chance to take photos of the look I created with these shades again, I will be sure to post them.

All of the shadows from this collection or single shadows purchased from ColourPop are all $5.00 each so they are not only affordable – they are gorgeous.  I think ColourPop is one of my favorite brands of eye shadows and I find that I use them more than most of my palettes.  My collection of over 70 shadows speaks for itself honestly… but that’s another story.

So tell me – are there any shades that you have been eyeing from ColourPop’s Throwback Fall Collection?  If so – which ones are they?  If not – what shades do you have your mind set on?

I am sad to say that I’ve had these products in my possession now for several months and while I have used them many times, I have forgotten to share them with all of you.  I am still relatively new to Pixi Beauty products (Pixi by Petra) as I have only used a small handful of them.  I’m quite excited that my island now has a Target so that I may purchase more of the products available from the brand, and get to know about the goods a little more.   These Crayon Combo pencils are a part of the select products I have tried and today I want to share them with you.

Pixi by Petra - Crayon Combo Pencils in Wide Awake, Super Natural and Softly Smoky

The Crayon Combos from Pixi Beauty come in four different combinations.  They retail for $18.00 a piece and you can purchase them at your local Target (where available) or online at Pixibeauty.com.  The Crayon Combos are eye pen duos that are designed to either brighten and lighten the area around the eyes or line and define your eyes for show stopping peepers.  Each pencil is multi-use, double-ended and ready to go right out of the box to create a gorgeous look in a matter of moments.  They are formulated to awaken, enhance or smoke up your eyes, are long wearing and offer gorgeous color payoff.  They have been created to be super-smooth with a high-performance formula that is waterproof and can be used on the inner rim.  Each shade is also said to be easily blend-able for a soft-focus effect.

The duo pencils include beneficial ingredients like Caffeine which gives an energizing effect, Chamomile which soothes and Pearl powder which brightens the eyes.  They are hypoallergenic and preservative and mineral oil free.

Pixi by Petra - Crayon Combo Pencils in Wide Awake, Super Natural and Softly Smoky

The first Crayon Combo we are going to talk about is the Softly Smoky.  This double-ended combo has an eye-define pen that is used to contour the eyes.  It enhances with high performance treatment and soft focus colour.  You use this particualr one by applying to the lash line and smooth or smoke the liner out by softening it or wear it as is.  You can also use it to define the lash line and work the pencil up to your crease as well as aply under the eye on the lower lash line for a soft smoky look.  The line side is a deep dark brown that I love to use in place of a black liner and the define side is a gorgeous metallic mocha brown which works wonderfully on those days that you want a smoky look or when you want a little definition to the eyes but still have something wearable.

Next is the Super Natural Crayon Combo.  This is one of my favorites out of the three that I own.  Just like the Softly Smoky combo, this particular duo ended pencil is used to line and create a smoky but natural look.  You can use this by taking the define side to contour and enhance the eyes and using the line side to line the upper and lower lash line to create a wearable look or a smoky glam one.  The define side on this pencil is a gorgeous metallic bronze which I love to wear all over my eye lid for an every day look while taking the line side and smudging it on my lower and upper lash line or in my waterline to define and enhance my lashes.

Last is the Wide Awake Crayon Combo.  This double-ended pencil is a rescue pen that awakens the eyes with high performance and treatment and soft focus cover.  Apply the Brighten end under the eye and on the lower waterline and use the lighten end on the brow bones, inner corner of the eye, eye lids and cupid’s bow to highlight for a wake look.  The Brighten side is one of my absolute favorites to apply to the waterline because it lasts most of the day – even with my watery eyes and looks so natural, it’s perfect for a soft makeup look that makes me look refreshed.  The Lighten side which makes a great inner corner highlight has a metallic sheen to it and offers a soft shimmer for a great look.

Pixi by Petra - Crayon Combo Pencils in Wide Awake, Super Natural and Softly Smoky

I’m impressed with each pencil and I’ll be honest, I really like the metallic side of each one.  But, overall I think they are nice.  They are perfect for those days that I really want a soft and easy look without pulling out eye shadows and great on the go or for travel.  The metallic side of each pencil applies easily and the matte sides work well for liner which I enjoy.  The matte sides of each pencil are a little more stiff (not as creamy as the metallic) but they work nonetheless.  These pencils are claimed to be waterproof and while used on the lid and lash line it can last all day though on the waterline it will fade after a few hours.  I’m still quite impressed with how long they do last though – but from my personal use, I wouldn’t consider them waterproof but long lasting.

They are quite costly – almost $20 is a hefty price point to pay for something like this, but you should get a lot of use out of the products and they are pretty good quality.  I’m not sure that I would repurchase these, but- my mind may change once I actually run out of them since I’ve become quite fond of a few of them.  Overall – I like them, but I think for a product like this – I would like to see them cheaper in cost.

Have you tried these duo crayon combos from Pixi Beauty?  If you have, what are your thoughts on them?  If not, have you tried anything from Pixi before and what should I look at trying out next?

If you have been following me a while, then you know I have a girl crush on Jaclyn Hill.  Come on now, let’s face it… she’s adorable and has some great makeup skills.  So when I heard that she collaborated with BECCA to create a Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop, I knew I had to have it.  I’ve actually been sitting on this product now for over a month and I find that I have been pulling for it daily.  Originally, I wasn’t going to talk about it here, but I figured since I love it so and it is still available – I would share it with all of you.

Highlight on Fleek - Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector - Champagne Pop

Sold exclusively at Sephora – this limited edition luminizing powder is absolutely gorgeous.  I own Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector by Becca and Champagne Pop is definitely different.  BECCA collaborated with YouTube beauty creator and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill to create this gorgeous shade of their number one bestselling luminizer powder.  Champagne Pop is a soft white, gold shade that has pinky peach undertones.  It has a creamy texture and leaves your skin with a gorgeous glow.  Infused with light-reflecting pearls that catch the light beautifully, this skin perfector will make your favorite blush and skin just pop leaving you with that “highlight on fleek” look that is so on trend today.

Let’s face it – if anyone knows me, they know that I’m all about a peach or golden highlight and I can literally bathe in it if allowed to go to town.  The fact that this is a peachy golden highlight basically satisfies all craving for the shades that I know looks best on my skin.  I love it and have been using it each time I grab for a highlighter.

Highlight on Fleek - Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector - Champagne Pop

This skin perfector is perfect to apply to your targeted areas.  I take a fan brush or my ELF Small Tapered Face brush and sweep the color on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and if I want a little more sparkle, I also apply some on my cupid’s bow and above my brows for a gorgeous highlighted look.  This product feels wonderful to the touch, which makes it awesome on the skin but it is very bold and very pigmented, so a little goes a long way unless you want to look like a disco ball.  Formulated without Parabens, this product has become one of my favorites.  Also – if you are a bit a brutal with your makeup, you may want to take some care of this one because they are known to crack if dropped.  The packaging is the same as that of the other BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors Pressed, that UFO kind of look, but still compact enough for travel and it does come with a mirror built into the compact.

Highlight on Fleek - Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector - Champagne Pop

“I am so excited to present to you my dream shade of the very best highlighter on the market—Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop…Be sure to let me know what you think and hashtag #Champagnepop #defineyourlight.”—Jaclyn Hill

Highlight on Fleek - Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector - Champagne Pop

I am a huge fan of BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors and absolutely love this one.  Of course, the collaboration with Jaclyn Hill already had me swooning, but the product itself is gorgeous and if you can get your hands on it – I say, get it!

Nothing says “Showstopper” like luxurious packaging and I was immediately floored and swooning over the gorgeous bottles from SHOW Beauty.  A few months ago, I seen a photo of this brand online and fell in love with the packaging so when I was contacted and asked if I would try these products, I couldn’t resist.

SHOW Beauty - Fabulously Decadent Hair Care

Show Beauty is a new indulgent and luxurious hair styling and finishing collection that embodies decadent glamour.  Their products deliver volumizing and thickening benefits with innovative, natural ingredients that treat and improve the condition of the hair.  These products are packaged in gorgeous luxe bottles that are truly breathtaking and I am glad I was able to try out a few of the products from their line.

SHOW Beauty - Fabulously Decadent Hair Care

The Pure Treatment Oil ($78 USD – 2 fl.oz.) is a rejuvenating elixir that restores your hair’s lustre and shine, leaving it strengthened, deeply nourished and infinitely desirable.  This oil is a leave-in multi-use elixir that is light weight and doesn’t weigh my curls down, which I love.  It is anti-oxidant and nutrient-rich formula that leaves your hair fiber renewed.  This product has been referred to as liquid gold by beauty experts as Argan Oil penetrates the cuticle to strengthen and enhance the elasticity of the hair.  I have been using this product for several weeks on my freshly washed hair, both on it’s own or with my personal mixture of hair oils and I love it.  The ends of my hair feel soft and look great and my hair has a wonderful shine.  You can use this product daily, but since I do not wash my hair each day, I use it about once to two times a week.  You can also use as an intensive treatment by applying the oil to dry hair and combing through.  Wrap your hair in a warm towel for about 10 minutes and then wash.  I also use a little of this product on my dry hair to help with fly-aways and to add a little more shine if I feel my hair is looking dull.  The oils included in this treatment are Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil and Coffee Seed Oil.

SHOW Beauty - Fabulously Decadent Hair Care

The Decadence Hair Fragrance ($85 USD – 1 fl.oz.) is a lush rose water combined with the lightest notes of coconut milk, caramel and almond butter, with a background of Madagascan vanilla, sensual patchouli and soft white musk.  This product can be sprayed lightly onto your hair for a fragrance that is perfect for that date night or to just add a little pep in your step.  I am not a huge fan of patchouli scents, so I was not sure how I would enjoy this fragrance.  A light spritz of this product will go a long way and the scent can last quite a while.  I was pretty amazed that the patchouli was not as prominent in the fragrance it can overpower many other notes.  I liked it and enjoy using it on my hair on those days I’m using a sweet fragrant perfume as they work well together.  One notation however, do not spray this on wet hair – it is meant for dry hair only.  I made the mistake of spraying it on my hair before it was fully dry and it gave off a very funky scent – like wet leather.  Used as directed on dry hair, it smells quite nice.

The Premier Finishing Spray ($47 USD – 7.9 oz / 224g) is an extravagant finishing spray that delivers a firm, weightless and build-able hold that helps maintain a flawless look day and night.  This patented polymer memory system keeps hair in place while providing a natural, flexible and brush-able hold.  It has Pro-Vitamin B which repairs the damage from chemical treatments and coloring, while Litchiderm lychee extract, Argan oil and wheat protein replenish, moisturize and repair the hair’s natural texture.  I find that this spray is best used when 6 inches from the hair to get that desired hold and I have been loving it when I wear my hair down – as it allows my hair to still be bouncy and curly while giving it hold that is still touch-ably soft.  It’s important to me that sprays I use do not leave my hair crunchy and this leaves my hair awesome.  It does have perfume like scent that reminds me some of the hair fragrance, but it lighter and fades away quickly.

SHOW Beauty - Fabulously Decadent Hair Care

These products are definitely luxurious with a pretty hefty price tag.  I think the concept is great and I certainly love the packaging.  After finishing up the hair fragrance and hair treatment oil, I know I will be repurposing the bottles for other products as they display so wonderfully with the rest of my beauty essentials.  I’m not sure if I would repurchase these items because they are just not in my budget at the moment and while they are beautiful and they work as they say – I’m not sure that they would warrant me to buy them once I finish these up.  However, I do really like how they work, love the fragrances and I think should I have an income that allows me to buy these again, I would probably do it in a heartbeat.

You can purchase these products and more from SHOW Beauty at your local Sephora or Sephora.com

With technology increasing and new and innovative products hitting the shelves often, I am always impressed with the things we see on the market today.  Recently I have had the opportunity to try the Ionic Infusion Wrinkle-Eraser Wand & Under-Eye Massager.  I wanted to share my thoughts on this product and how it worked for me.

Ionic Infusion Wrinkle-Eraser Wand & Under-Eye Massager

This interesting looking tool has an ionic flow that uses gentle, negative-ion technology with micro-electric pulses that gently push your favorite essential oil, cream or serum treatment deeper in to the skin.  Now, I’m not gonna lie, when I first laid my eyes on this tool, I really thought it was interesting – to say the least.  All thoughts aside, I was intrigued to try it.  With consistent use, this will help deliver noticeable reduction in appearance of fine lines, eye-bags and lines around your mouth.

This product is super gentle and is easy to use.  Simply put in the batteries (included) and touch the silver piece to your face in the area you want to treat, while placing your finger or grip the silver bar on the side of the unit.  It will not work unless contact is both on the top (silver) area and strip are both touched at the same time.  The pulsations are gentle and the ultrasonic therapy helps to promote increased circulation to reduce puffy eyes, promote deeper, effective eye treatments and even helps to reduce dark circles.  In just two weeks, I noticed that my eye creams and gels were working faster than before and since I use my Foreo Luna’s Anti-aging side once a week or less, I love that I can pull this tool out and get similar treatment without pulling out my Luna.  The Ionic Infusion tool is convenient, great for travel and easy to use.  Using the tool is very easy and you would touch it to your skin for the ionic pulsations after applying your favorite serum.

The device is FDA registered (reg #D233185) and is small enough to fit in your purse or carry on for trips.  I love using this tool all over my face, forehead, around my lips, brow area and the normal areas as well to help my creams and serums have deeper penetration.  What I enjoy the most is the price – this product is less than $35 and right now is on sale for under $19.  After using this for a month, I’m really enjoying it as a part of my skin care and beauty regimen.

So what about you?  Did you look at this product and giggle a bit and do you think this is something you could add to your skin care routine?  These are one of those products that you must try yourself to see if it works, I noticed results and I think you may too.  I also love the massage I got after using it each time and enjoy the product.
