With technology increasing and new and innovative products hitting the shelves often, I am always impressed with the things we see on the market today. Recently I have had the opportunity to try the Ionic Infusion Wrinkle-Eraser Wand & Under-Eye Massager. I wanted to share my thoughts on this product and how it worked for me.
This interesting looking tool has an ionic flow that uses gentle, negative-ion technology with micro-electric pulses that gently push your favorite essential oil, cream or serum treatment deeper in to the skin. Now, I’m not gonna lie, when I first laid my eyes on this tool, I really thought it was interesting – to say the least. All thoughts aside, I was intrigued to try it. With consistent use, this will help deliver noticeable reduction in appearance of fine lines, eye-bags and lines around your mouth.
This product is super gentle and is easy to use. Simply put in the batteries (included) and touch the silver piece to your face in the area you want to treat, while placing your finger or grip the silver bar on the side of the unit. It will not work unless contact is both on the top (silver) area and strip are both touched at the same time. The pulsations are gentle and the ultrasonic therapy helps to promote increased circulation to reduce puffy eyes, promote deeper, effective eye treatments and even helps to reduce dark circles. In just two weeks, I noticed that my eye creams and gels were working faster than before and since I use my Foreo Luna’s Anti-aging side once a week or less, I love that I can pull this tool out and get similar treatment without pulling out my Luna. The Ionic Infusion tool is convenient, great for travel and easy to use. Using the tool is very easy and you would touch it to your skin for the ionic pulsations after applying your favorite serum.
The device is FDA registered (reg #D233185) and is small enough to fit in your purse or carry on for trips. I love using this tool all over my face, forehead, around my lips, brow area and the normal areas as well to help my creams and serums have deeper penetration. What I enjoy the most is the price – this product is less than $35 and right now is on sale for under $19. After using this for a month, I’m really enjoying it as a part of my skin care and beauty regimen.
So what about you? Did you look at this product and giggle a bit and do you think this is something you could add to your skin care routine? These are one of those products that you must try yourself to see if it works, I noticed results and I think you may too. I also love the massage I got after using it each time and enjoy the product.

One type of serum I can’t get enough of is Hyaluronic Acid and it’s something I include in my daily skin care regimen without skipping a beat. Since I naturally have dry skin and I’m Eczema prone, this particular serum helps to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized so that I have less flare ups. I have tried many many serums including this ingredient in the past and I’m constantly trying new ones. Recently, I added the CSCS Advanced Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C to my regimen. I’ve been using it the last month in combination with other products I currently use and I wanted to share my thoughts with you on this product.
CSCS Advanced Face Serum – Hyaluronic Serum + Vitamin C (1 fl.oz.) retails for $24.99 and comes in a very bold blue bottle which makes it easy to find among my other skin care products. The Vitamin C Serum is made with 100% natural ingredients – formulated with natural, plant based ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and polypeptide Vitamin C. Like most serums with similar ingredients, it helps to restore the skin with antioxidants, UV protection and moisturizing nutrients that penetrate deep into the skin strengthen and defend the skin against damage from free radicals and unfavorable environmental conditions. This product is a skin safe anti-wrinkle moisturizer that is free of chemicals like parabens, phthalates, sulfates and alcohol and it is also free of artificial scents, colorants and preservatives. This serum is formulated and produced in the USA in small quantities using renewable resources and is manufactured in an eco-friendly, cruelty-free environment. No animal ingredients are used and this product is not tested on animals.
Now that I have broke it down for you – here are my thoughts on this product. The actual serum is semi clear where the liquid looks a little transparent white. It is very much like a liquid – not gel like and applies easily to the skin. It soaks into my face and neck quickly which I absolutely love and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky once it is set and has soaked in properly. A little goes a long way with this product due to the liquid like texture. I never use a full dropper and can apply the product directly to my entire face, neck and decollete area in half a dropper or less. It has a light citrus scent, but very light so I can use this at night if I feel the need though it is a part of my daytime routine.
After a month of using this product, I’m quite impressed. It helps to keep my skin hydrated through the day without leaving my skin feeling dry or sticky. The price point is awesome and spot on considering the amount of product you receive and I do like the packaging. The dropper tool makes it easy to use and I love that I can move on with my skincare routine without waiting for the product to soak into my face. I definitely suggest this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serum at a reasonable cost. You can purchase this product here.

I have been reading and watching reviews on Tatcha products now for quite some time but never got around to trying anything from the brand until recently. My first product to try and LOVE is the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. As most know, I not only suffer from Eczema but have dry skin so anything that claims to help with those issues, I am more than happy to put it to the test. I can finally say I tried something from Tatcha and today I share with you my thoughts on this product.
A little back story on Tatcha, a skin care collection that is based on time and tested geisha beauty rituals where all products are made in Japan with the highest quality, purest ingredients and just absolute greatness for the skin. The first time I heard about the brand, I was intrigued and definitely interested in trying out what they had to offer. I can only hope that this product is one of many that I am adding to my skincare regimen.
The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is a face mist spray that helps to keep your skin moisturized during the summer and year round. It’s a liquid spray on moisturizer that includes Squalane, Red Algae and Tatcha’s HADASEI-3 Complex. This mist can be used to boost much needed hydration, resulting in dewy, luminous skin – anytime and anywhere. Different from other mists on the market, I immediately noticed that the liquid is milky white instead of clear. Tatcha says that this milky emulsion contains moisturizers and humectants that help to leave the skin moisturized and re-hydrated. It does not contain high levels of alcohol and fragrance which can be found in conventional hydrating sprays (which can dry out the skin) so it helps to keep your skin looking gorgeous and luminous all day.
So now that I have given you the low down on the product details, here are my thoughts. First, I have been in love with Tatcha’s packaging since I first laid my eyes upon them. Come on now – purple and gold, I’m sold! But I love the look of femininity that the packaging offers but also that Japanese flair with the wooden and bamboo look of the boxes. Gorgeous! The actual spray is gorgeous in gold and I love that it offers a great mist, perfect so that you are getting just the right amount of product each time you press down. Just a little shake and spritz and you’re good to go.
The product itself is an absolute favorite of mine. I am in love with how my skin feels after spritzing my face and how luminous it appears. As many know – I do not use foundation, so on my bare skin or over my makeup, it gives my skin the appearance like I am glowing. Since I have naturally dry skin, I love that I can spray the mist over my favorite moisturizer and feel refreshed and hydrated all day – keeping my skin looking and feeling soft, moisturized and fresh. My face looks dewy but radiant and glowing and my skin feels great!
The Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist retails for $48 (net wt. 40mL/1.35 fl.oz) and can be purchased at Sephora, Barneys New York in the US, Joyce Beauty Hong Kong and online at Tatcha.com.
I am absolutely loving this mist and can’t wait to get my hands on more products from Tatcha – my skin is already craving them! Have you tried anything from Tatcha before? If so – what are your favorites and if not, what do you have your eyes set on?

I have been sitting on the thought of writing up this post now for a few weeks but just never got around to it so I’m sharing it with you all today. Last month after a huge fiasco, website crashing and overall craziness, I was able to get my hands on the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. When I say fiasco, I mean it. ColourPop has this thing about releasing their new products earlier than they state and it causes a huge frenzy sometimes. After almost 12 hours of trying to get their site to load, I was able to place my order and add 13 of the 25 liquid lipsticks to my cart. Here are some swatches and my overall thoughts on the products.
The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks retail for $6.00 through Colourpop.com. Considering I own a few liquid lipsticks from other brands like Stila, Kat Von D and L.A. Splash – I consider this to be a great price point. You get 3.2g/0.11 oz worth of product which is a lot considering the price you pay for each liquid lipstick. These liquid lipsticks are now available in over thirty shades (new ones recently released this past week) and are a variety of colors. They are a thin formula and consistency which makes applying them pretty easy and they dry quick and to a matte finish. The formula does glide on fairly easy for me and I haven’t noticed any patchiness with the shades I have upon application. I love the color payoff on each and the rich shades make a matte lip show stopping.
While these claim to be kiss proof and long wearing – I think it really does depend on what you are eating and drinking and on your lips. You must apply these to your lips that are bare (no lip balm) and dry. Since the product dries quickly – I suggest you start with one coat and for the most part – one coat is enough for me. The formula is thin, which makes layering colors a little easier with this particular liquid lipstick then others that I own however, too much product will cause the lipstick to feather or start flaking off. I can get approximately 6 full hours of wear time without eating or drinking anything that has oil in it and if anything I consume does include oil, I will need to touch up shortly after eating. I don’t normally like to bring makeup with me when out and about but I take my lipstick with me to touch up. I find that because the formulation is thin that it makes reapplying or touching up easy vs. other similar products.
I like the packaging on these a lot though I’m a bit bummed that most of my lipsticks no longer have the ColourPop signature holographic logo as they have wiped off. But I think it is great that we can see through the packaging and can pick out the color we want to wear for the day or night without issue. Each lip color has a twist off cap (similar to that of a lip gloss) and a basic doe foot applicator which applies the product pretty nicely for the most part.
When applying the product – I tend to follow these steps:
Make sure your lips are moisturized and exfoliated (or all the lines and cracks in your lips will be visible with this product).
Lips must be bare and dry – so if you have moisturized or applied lip balm, be sure to remove or pat off your lips. (this helps with the longevity and adhesion of the product)
Line your lips if you feel you must. I apply the product directly to my lips without liner and clean up any mistakes quickly with a little jojoba or coconut oil and Q-tip.
These lipsticks leave your lips with a dry texture, so if you have have dry lips, it can exaggerate the lines in your lips. I suggest that you apply a lip balm over the lipstick through out the day – dab the lip balm off and then reapply the liquid lipstick for use the remainder of the day. However, while it can be a matte / dry texture, I didn’t notice that my lips felt overly dry. I have used many liquid lipsticks that dry down matte but leave my lips feeling cracked, sore and too dry -these are fairly comfortable. They don’t have a scent – which I really enjoy and it makes the lipstick easy on the nose when applying.
Top to Bottom – Left to Right: Mars, Quiji, Tulle, Bumble, Trap, Midi, Solow Lychee, Drive-In, Seesaw, LAX, Avenue, Creeper
The swatches above are done on the inside of my arm which is not an accurate shade reference to my actual lips which have color – but I figured I would swatch them anyway so that you could see some of the color range. Since my arm didn’t get any exposure to oily food the swatches lasted until I removed the lip product with coconut oil. Oh – and that brings me to removing the lipsticks. I have had some other brands which don’t budge when removing. These actually are quite easy to take off with a little coconut oil or my Josie Maran Cleansing Oil or InstaNatural Cleansing Oil. A little bit of oil and a little rub will remove these fairly easily compared to others I own from different brands.
I do enjoy these liquid lippies quite a bit and have been getting a lot of use out of them. If I had to choose my favorite from the shades I currently own, they would be Tulle, Trap and Avenue – though I think it’s because I get the most use out of those three. At the end of the day – I really enjoy the shades I own and I am looking forward to adding more to my collection. You can’t beat the price point – I just purchased some from Milani that are $8.99 so I’m over the moon enjoying these. While there are some cons to the longevity I think I really like how easy they are to apply and they leave my lips matte, no sticky texture like some can do. Also – my favorite combos to layer and pair are Trap and Tulle and Tulle and Seesaw.
So have you jumped on the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick trend? If so – what colors do you love and if not, what colors are you hoping to try? If I have my way – I may collect them all. 😀

I know Summer has just begun for many but here in Hawaii, it’s been hot and these hurricanes and tropical storms keep sweeping in near us. Because of this, I’m truly looking forward to Fall and Winter and I find that I have been really craving that cool Hawaii Winter weather a lot lately. Inspired by Fall shades, I decided I was going to use a Berry Smoky Eye today and since I haven’t been using much makeup lately, I was really excited to play with color. Today – I share with you my FOTD.
Since I don’t use foundation or concealer (I know – I say it over and over again), I went ahead and used the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer (review here) applying this product all over my face to create a canvas for my other products to last all day. I then started with my brows. Today I pulled out my Paula Dorf 2+1 For Brows Kit (review here) and did these babies up a little darker and bolder than I normally wear them to accommodate for my eye makeup.
For my eyes I wanted to pull out some of my ColourPop shadows that I’ve been neglecting lately. I started with a base – I’m using my Milani Eye Shadow primer. Then I used ColourPop’s Selfie as my transition shade blending into my crease and fading up towards my brow. To create a sultry bold burgundy look, I added a blend of In A Pickle and Cheeky on the inner corner of my eye lid blending towards the middle of my lid. Then taking Drift and blending it from the middle of my lid to the outer corner. To smoke out the look, I took Hustle and added it to the outer corner of my eye then mixed Hustle and Drift together to apply on the lower lash line. To create the pop of color and highlight on the inner corner, I used ColourPop’s XO. To give my browbone a subtle highlight and to diffuse the harsh lines I took Laetus from the Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette and swept that under my bone and blending with ColourPop’s Selfie for a flawless transition.
For eye liner I am using the Milani Kohl Kajal liner in black to line my upper and lower rim and smudge along the lower lash line. For my winged liner I am using the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper.
For face products, I used Coastal Scents Forever Blush in Delicate and swept that over ColourPop’s Highlighter in Most Necessary to achieve a slightly bronze glow. For my highlight I am using Lunch Money as a base topped with Becca’s Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector (Jaclyn Hill collaboration). I applied highlight to the top of my cheekbones, along my cupids bow and above the arch of my brows.
For lips I am using Jordana’s EZ Liner in Rock N Rose topped with ColourPop’s Lumiere Lippy Stix. My mascara for today is a combination of Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara and Benefit Roller Lash (top and bottom lashes) and then finished off with a set of Ardell Demi Whispies which are my go-to. To complete the look – I used YSL’s Touche Eclat Blur Perfector to set my makeup (more so my blush/highlighter) in place all day.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared a Face of the Day – but I’m looking forward to Fall and sharing more fun with all of you.
So today is my little sister Harmony’s birthday and since I completely forgot to write about these goodies during my birthday month, I figured I would share…
