Targeting the 12 Signs of Aging With StriVectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream

I love finding skincare products that work and over the last year and a half I have had the opportunity to try some great ones from StriVectin.  I have been using the Multi-Action Restorative Cream daily as a part of my skin care routine with other products over the last 6 months and after finally trying the product, I feel comfortable enough to share my thoughts with you.  Keep in mind, I’ve been using a lot of skin care lately from StriVectin (it’s literally becoming a favorite among my list of products) so you will be seeing more from the brand here in the next few days.  The StriVectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream has been a favorite that I have even repurchased since first trying it several months ago so I really wanted to share this product with you today.

The StriVectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream (50 mL / 1.7 fl.oz.) retails for $95.00 and claims to address the 12 key signs of aging, replenish and strengthen the moisture barrier to diminish water loss and optimize skin performance to fortify against future aging.  The product is pretty costly in my opinion, but immediately after trying the product for about 3 days when I was first sent my jar to test, I noticed a huge difference in the moisture that my face and neck had.  I love when a product offers immediate results and I noticed it so quickly, I knew I would fall in love with this product.  Let me start off by saying… ack, I hate when I love an expensive product, but love when a product is worth the cost.

I have really enjoyed many different products I’ve tried from StriVectin in the past, but this by far would be considered one of my favorites.  A moisturizer that really does make my skin feel great and look great… yes, sign me up for a lifetime supply – pulllleeesssseeeee!

So what are the 12 key signs of aging that this product claims to target?

  1. Fine Lines – I noticed immediately how the fine lines where my smile lines are softened and were not as noticeable.  This includes my forehead lines that I have as well.
  2. Deep Wrinkles – I don’t have deep wrinkles with exception to between my eyes where I get natural wrinkles from frowning or making faces.  I’ve had these since I was a little girl.  While these are still there, they are less prominent then before.
  3. Firmness – I use this cream on my neck and have noticed within a week that my neck seems firmer and tighter
  4. Sagging Skin – I don’t have much or any sagging skin so I didn’t notice too much of a difference with this particular “sign of aging”
  5. Dehydration – YES!  This is a key claim that I noticed immediately.  This product gave my skin life and it no longer looks dry.  Even with good moisturizers my skin would still have a dry look to it.  This helps to give my skin moisture that lasts all day and has repaired my overall dehydration of my skin.
  6. Dullness – my skin looks brighter and I noticed this after a week of use.  It continues to keep my skin looking great.
  7. Texture – my skins texture has definitely improved.  I use this product along side other skincare products, including the Retinol from StriVectin sorry and noticed my skin feels soft and smooth.
  8. Resilience – well, my skin is naturally sensitive to many products, but after using this cream I noticed my skin seems stronger to other products and not as sensitive as it used to be.
  9. Discoloration – I love that my skin has really evened out and looks great.
  10. Enlarged Pores – I don’t necessarily have large pores, but I can certainly say my pores are not as prominent as before.
  11. Density – I have noticed the increased look of radiant skin.  Thankfully I do not experience much loss of skin density but, noticed that this product is definitely helping to keep my skin looking great, radiant and fuller.
  12. Clarity  – Ah, this one is definitely a plus in my book as well.  My skin looks clearer, has less breakouts during that time when it’s most stressed and overall looks great.

This cream is thicker than what you would expect from your basic or typical moisturizer.  Now, while I say it’s thicker, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is heavier.  It has a dense consistency versus your traditional moisturizer and it feels like it may be lightly whipped somewhat.  I use very little when applying to my face and have absolutely loved over the last 6 months how it feels when applied.  It’s one of those creams that really soak into my face nicely leaving my skin feeling moisturized without that heavy feel.

I have been using this product with different serums over the last 6 months and found that some of my serums can cause this to slightly bunch up or have a peeling like texture (not your skin peeling, but the product bunching and looking like peeled skin somewhat), but it is only with some of my serums (not all) and I just stopped using them in combination with one another.  This restorative cream, with Pro-12 Youth Optimizing Complex reinvigorates the skin to initiate a cascade of revitalizing effects so trust me, I was willing to stop the use of some of my other serums temporarily while using this one to achieve the results it has been offering me.

I try my best to take care of my skin daily, not only for me, but also because I HATE wearing foundation so if I can keep my skin looking youthful without adding on layers of makeup, I try to do so.  This product has definitely changed how I look and feel about my skin – especially lately since I’ve been dealing with so much stress, it could easily take its toll on my skin.

Honestly, I have tried so many products over the years – from drugstore to luxury brands… but this one here from StriVectin will continue to be a favorite.  I love skin care products and developing a skin care regimen that works well for me.  I have always enjoyed products from StriVectin before, but this one has really been the icing on the cake for me.  So many products can offer a variety of benefits, but this one definitely gave me that “heaven sent” feeling.  I know, I know… you’re wondering if this product is worth it?  I have already saved up and purchased this product once to replenish the initial one that was sent to me for review.  I’ll be honest, it was a hard cost on my pocket book… and I’m not sure how often I can buy it consistently, but I’ll certainly try.  We all know I love to keep it real here and I’m not gonna sugar coat a thing – if you read a review and I say I like it, I truly do… but this product – I absolutely love!  I went through 6 months of trial and tribulation, even buying the product myself to make sure and I can say – without a doubt, this product is a favorite for sure.

Gone are the days of the plain business or networking cards that are the basic rectangular shape.  Socialcirclecards offers a variety of designs to help build your brand and network in round scalloped cut cards with designs that are fun and trendy.  Each card is 2 inches in diameter offering you space to put your name, branding or log and your social media sites and contact info.

Socialcirclecards is all about fashion.  Their belief is that while some crave shoes, signature sunglasses or bag – everything they create is all about the details and each team member’s personality peeks through their work.  I found that ideal when I finally decided on a design I wanted, but was not too fond of the choice of color in the original design.  In less than 24 hours, my artist / designer created a design with color choices to fit my need and personality.

For years I have been a business card holder.  Before I took on blogging full time, I worked in Corporate America and also owned my own business as a Wedding & Portrait Photographer, so a great business card was literally the cover to my book and it spoke volumes of who I am as a person.  Because of this, my standard for a good networking card was quite high and I honestly thought that these couldn’t possibly meet my standards – especially since they are so reasonably priced.

Most card sets start at $35 for a set of 50 cards and a very cute circular case that you can hang on your key chain.  Having ordered MANY business cards in the past, I can honestly say that that is a reasonable cost for the type of card you get and the customer service that backs the brand.  Like I mentioned before, each card has scalloped edges which make them each to see and fun to look at.  They are double sided and the cards come in a variety of different designs.  You can fit up to 5 different social media contacts and the cute personalized socialcircle case has a coordinating tassel and heart charm as well as a clip to allow you to carry where ever you go and have handy at a moment’s notice.

Socialcirclecards are fashionable and allow you to share your info and your personality.  You can customize the custom contact cards with your social media info and include the following:

  • Your name
  • cell number
  • instagram
  • twitter
  • snapchat
  • blog and more…

Customizing the cards was VERY easy.  I simply chose my design and specified on the custom form what I wanted to see with regard to change in color, etc.  Once my cards were completed, I was sent a draft with my custom design via email and I replied with any customizations I needed in addition to those they already made.

The color theme I chose to go with was Purple, Taupe, Rose Gold & Black with the plumerias in the design to be yellow (the true color you see here in the Hawaiian islands).  I provided the colors and I was immediately in love with the design when it was emailed to me.  I have already handed out a few of my cards to those I’ve come in contact with and they have absolutely loved them.  Since I’ll be attending a Conference at the end of this month, I’m excited to pass these around to network my brand and share socialcirclecards with my community.

The Rose Glycerin Bar Soap is a nice Glycerin bar that leaves your skin feeling moisturized and soft.  I enjoy using this during my morning shower to help awaken my senses and really just soften my skin to prep for my day.  It has a light hint of rose fragrance, not strong enough to cause my allergies to go crazy, but still fragrant enough so that I can smell the sweet scent.  I really like this soap and overall I think it’s something worth checking out.

The deVine Lip Shimmers are a nice addition to my lip balm collection.  I got them in Bordeaux and Cabernet.  Each lippy has a light hint of color, offering your lips sheer color for when you’re on the go and want a little something extra.  I like that they are hydrating and since I have tried these before via my Ipsy bag a year or so ago, I think my opinion on them are still the same.  They leave my lips feeling nice and soft but I love the hint of color they offer.  They have a light scent and taste to them, but not enough for me to pin point a particular flavor or fragrance.  I’m quite amazed with the color they offer and since I don’t use makeup daily, these make great additions to my every day look and really perk up my lips.

The Sangria Lip Shades with SPF 15 are colorless but I really like the flavor of these.  They are what I throw in my purse on a daily basis to use along side some of my favorite lip balms.  They not only offer that SPF products that I love, but they are so handy to have and easy to take on the go.  Though they don’t offer any lip color, these are perfect to use beneath your favorite lip shades to give you that extra protection your pout needs, especially during the summer months.

Sadly, I couldn’t find the full list of ingredients on their website, but overall I do enjoy the anti-aging benefits and ingredients I do know about.  I have noticed with the lip products that my lips feel softer and take on lip color very nicely and evenly since I’ve been using these products.  My lips seem to love them and while they are not my only lip balm I use, I do reach for these often and especially the deVine Lip Shimmers on days when I am not wanting any makeup but need a little color to my lips.

If you are looking for something that is reasonably priced that offer ingredients that are good for you – I definitely suggest checking these out.  A lip product that offers Resveratrol and red wine antioxidants is surely something I don’t mind using on my lips.  I love that my lips feel plumper, look less stressed and aged and feel nice and soft thanks to the great ingredient of Resveratrol in these lippies.  The bar of soap is definitely a great thing and I look forward to trying some of the other body care products available from deVine Shimmer soon.

Review – Bdellium Tools Auto Lip Crayons in Pink Cadillac and Kandooment Orange

A few days ago I shared a review on my YouTube channel on the Bdellium Tools Auto Lip Crayons and I figured, why neglect the blog – I should post a review here too.  I was sent the Bdellium Tools Auto Lip Crayons as a part of Octoly – a site that I’ve been a part of but never really purchased or got products from over the years.  This was the first product I got from my Free Store and I’m glad I was able to try it – since I don’t often use much from Bdellium Tools and I didn’t know they even had makeup or cosmetics as a part of their line.

I received two colors – Pink Cadillac (a gorgeous rose hued bright fuchsia pink) and Kadooment Orange (an orange with red undertones – almost coral in shade).  Each lip crayon retails for $10.00 and Bdellium Tools offers a total of 7 shades on their website.  I would love to try the nude shades they have available because these are so great for travel or sticking in the purse for on the go.

Each lip color is soft and creamy and glide on very easily on the lips.  They are very pigmented and you get – One swipe and done, high pigment and color.  They have a matte like texture but do not leave my lips dry which is awesome and my lips feel very moisturized while wearing the lip colors.  These are not kiss proof, but they do last for quite a while if you are not eating, drinking or kissing.  I love that each lip crayon is retractable, making it really easy to use.

Each lip color is paraben and perfume free.  The lip crayons do not contain beeswax or carmine and include ingredients like shea butter to help hydrate the lips.  Each pencil has a net weight of 0.05 oz / 1.5g so you get a lot of product for a reasonable price point.  I did notice that the colors I got can settle into the lines of my lips – even if they are not drying.  I think a lot of it has to do with the color and creamy feel of the product.  While it does last on the lips, it will kiss off, rub off and will not set like a traditional matte lipstick – but they are very comfortable to wear.

With the cost of drugstore makeup increasing now a days, it’s nice to see a company like Bdellium Tools offer their lip products at reasonable costs.  Let’s face it, $10.00 now a days for a lip crayon is not that bad considering there are so many on the market that are priced way more.  I’m actually impressed with the product, though I do wish it had a little more staying power on my lips – especially since I drink water consistently during the day.  I would love to try out their nude lippies and see how they match up to these that I have tried already.  I’ll definitely be checking these out.  I would love to see what other colors Bdellium Tools releases in the future.

If you are a runner – you would absolutely love this water.  I will drink one of these after a workout and immediately notice a difference.  It is great for muscles as well and really helps with recovery.  I noticed that after a workout, I don’t often get much swelling and pain, if any at all and the only change I made to my supplements or diet has been the HFACTOR water.  An increase in energy and overall wellness.
