I know Spring has hit Hawaii when I drive around the up country area where I live and notice purple blossoms from the Jacaranda trees that line our streets here.  But, that is not the only thing that reminds me of spring – besides the trees and of course the weather, my skin texture and need for certain products definitely changes.  I’ve been using Rodial products for about a year now and I find that my skin really soaks up all the benefits of the products during the cool spring months.  It’s that time of the year when we are starting to transition from colder months to warmer here in Hawaii.  Today, I’m going to share with you some products I’ve been using the last month from Rodial so let’s get to it, shall we?

Rodial, skin care, skincare, beauty, makeup, skin, face, anti-aging, beautiful, collectively, Nip + Fab, product review, review,

Rodial is a UK based brand that recently made it’s way into the United States, offering a variety of skin care and cosmetic products.  I have tried several products from their  Dragon’s Blood, Stem Cell Super-Food and  Snake lines and for the most part, I’ve been quite impressed with the products I’ve tried so far.  Today I’m going to be sharing with you 5 products that are “new to me” and recently added to the Rodial line up.

Rodial, skin care, skincare, beauty, makeup, skin, face, anti-aging, beautiful, collectively, Nip + Fab, product review, review,

The first products are makeup types and include the Baking Powder ($48.00) and The Baking Brush ($46.00).

The Baking Powder (New Product) is a loose setting powder (I got the color 01) that helps you to achieve the perfect flawless base for your makeup.   This setting powder is silky and quite smooth which is ideal for “baking” your makeup – a technique that has been used for years in the drag communities and by makeup artists, and has recently (over the last year) become a popular step in the beauty community and YouTubers alike.  Baking your makeup is all about flawlessly setting your  makeup without creasing or caking.

While you can pretty much “bake your face” with any loose translucent powder – I prefer when doing this method of makeup that the powder be smooth and lightweight.  I also prefer a powder that will add a bit of brightness to the face effortlessly, without leaving a white cast behind when sweeping the powder away.  I must say – I was quite impressed with the Rodial Baking Powder.  It’s smooth to the touch and feels great on the skin.  Once you sweep the powder away – you are left with a flawless makeup application.

I will say however, that the amount of product you get – 4g / 0.14 oz Net. Wt. is not a lot considering the price tag.  While a little goes a long way with the product, especially since it is such a finely milled powder, when using something like this specifically for baking, you will go through product quickly and I think at $48.00 – that’s quite a hefty cost to have to replenish the product when you need.  The powder comes with a sifter which allows you to really get the right amount of product each time and hopefully eliminate an spill accident, but if you are someone who bakes your makeup often, you may need to buy a new one sooner.

If you are like me and rarely uses a technique like this, this product will last you a long time.  It feels great on the skin, like silk and you’ll definitely enjoy it.

Ingredients:  Ingredients: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Talc, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Silica, Boron Nitride, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Caprylyl Glycol, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Aluminum Hydroxide, Hexylene Glycol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Aqua (Water), Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract, Glucosamine HCL, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract May Contain (+/-): CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77742 (Manganese Violet), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides)

Next is The Baking Brush (New Product).  There’s not much to say about this brush except I really like it.  This brush is perfect for removing powder or applying it to the under eye area because it is so so soft that it will not affect the under eyes with an pulling or tugging.  This brush has been specifically designed with soft, dense hairs to allow for easy application of the loose powder as well as the perfect softness to remove the loose powder when your baking is done, leaving your skin looking flawless without “cake face”.

What I also love about this brush is that it is dense enough to pick up and apply any pressed powders and makes a wonderful bronzer brush for contouring or adding definition within the hollows of the cheek area and forehead.  I found that I was able to get the perfect bronze with this brush because it blends the products effortlessly.  The brush bristles are so soft.   I’ve looked all over the website and couldn’t find information on the specific type of bristles the brush was made with, but have been advised by those that have used the brand that they are indeed synthetic brush hairs… which is awesome.  It feels so good, you’ll definitely want to use this brush for everything and I have just about tried it on most of the my face products (with exception to foundation) and have enjoyed it.  The ferule is very well made, tightly cinched in place and the handle, while it does have weight to it, is not overly heavy but balanced well in my hands.  Yes, this brush is a bit costly, but considering the quality I’ve found it to have, I’m beyond impressed with it and I’ll definitely look into other brushes from the Rodial line.

Next in this line up I also tried a few more products from the Dragon’s Blood line.  The Dragon’s Blood XXL Lip Plumper was definitely something I was excited to try when I seen it in the box.  It’s an interesting product and I do enjoy a good lip plumper so I opened this product first before any of the others.

The Dragon’s Blood XXL Lip Plumper retails for $30.00 and you 3mL / 0.1 fl.oz. of product.  Not that much product if you ask me, considering the price point.  This lip plumper was designed to nourish your lips while boosting the lips volume instantly.  They call it a “moisture-rich plumping miracle worker.”  It’s suggested to apply this product twice daily generously to the lips or as often as needed to provide an instant boost of moisture and plumping action.  The site also says that you may experience slight tingling sensation on your lips upon your initial application.

Rodial, skin care, skincare, beauty, makeup, skin, face, anti-aging, beautiful, collectively, Nip + Fab, product review, review,

So here’s the deal.  While I was very excited to see this product in my box when it arrived, after trying this particular one, it’s not my favorite in the bunch.  First, getting the product out of the tube took quite a while.  To dispense the product, you click the back of the pen like packaging till the product dispenses through the brush tip.  Let’s just say that it took me well over 90 presses to get that darn thing to come out.  By the time it was slowly making it’s way to the applicator, my fingers and hand was already uncomfortable and tired.

The brush made the product easy to apply, and I really liked that the actual lip product had a tint of color.  It’s the perfect type of shade for a natural, everyday glossy look and the product, while just a bit sticky, applied pretty easily.  I didn’t find any weird residue left on my lips through out the day and it wasn’t so sticky that I couldn’t purse my lips together after applied.  I did find minimum stinging and tingling which was great (considering they use chilli extract as their ingredient for the plumping) and the smell was almost minty and kind of pleasant for me.  I will say however, do not taste the stuff,  it has an odd taste that really didn’t sit well for me… I’m not sure what it is, but I didn’t like it.  It’s not chemical, but a weird mint and herb taste, if that makes any sense.  The plumping was definitely instant after application but not abnormal.  My lips seemed a fuller without looking weird and the effect was nice.  This gloss like plumper does not last a long time, so you may need to reapply after it comes off for optimal effect.

Ingredients: Hydroxystearic/Linolenic/Oleic Polyglycerides, Olus Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Acacia Decurrens/Jojoba/Sunflower Seed Wax/Polyglyceryl-3 Esters, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Seed Oil, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Candelilla Cera, Parfum (Fragrance), Mica, Capsicum Annum Resin/Capsicum Frutescens Resin, Tocopherol, Sorbitan Isostearate, Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Trihydroxystearin, Portulaca Pilosa Extract, Geraniol, Linalool, Sucrose Cocoate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Limonene, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Glucomannan, Citric Acid, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 15850 (Red 7), CI 75470 (Carmine).

Cautions: Contains chilli extract. In case of discomfort, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water.

Rodial, skin care, skincare, beauty, makeup, skin, face, anti-aging, beautiful, collectively, Nip + Fab, product review, review,

The Dragon’s Blood Velvet Cream was another product I got to test out.  Retailing at $85.00 for 50mL / 1.7 fl.oz. worth of product, you get a good size tub of product for the price point.  While it is expensive, considering the brand and their products, it’s something you can definitely expect.  There’s one thing for sure with Rodial, their product packaging always goes with the particular product line, which I like and the packaging is nice and definitely well made.

This cream is interesting.  It’s a rich cream with a texture that kind of reminds me of a whipped body butter.  It applies smoothly and evenly and I love how nicely it blends and rubs into the skin.  Rodial says that this cream offers a multi-dimensional hydration that leaves the skin feeling deeply nourished and I can definitely agree with that.  After apply to my face I felt like my skin got a boost of moisture and I really love the fact that it doesn’t feel heavy and my skin just drinks it in.  If you have dry skin like I do, I think you’ll definitely enjoy this cream.  I found that using it at night has been best for me my skin feels soft and smooth the next morning.  You can definitely use it morning or night – but for me the night use is best, but I have enjoyed using it during the day as well.  It doesn’t have a bad scent, but smells oddly like a weird herbal citrus, I can’t quite figure it out.  This product is expensive however, so I say if you can splurge, great – you’re skin will surely enjoy it.  I also really like the fact that ingredients like Squalane are included so I can eliminate a few other products in my routine when using this cream.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Isoamyl Laurate, Glycerin, Squalane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Myristyl Myristate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Cetearyl Glucoside, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Hydrolyzed Caesalpinia Spinosa Gum, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Caesalpinia Spinosa Gum, Silica, Potassium Sorbate, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Seed Extract, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Farnesol, Citral, Citronelloe

The Rodial Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water is the last product that I got to try out this time around.  Retailing for $36.00 the water includes 200 mL / 6.8 fl.oz. worth of product.  The Cleansing Water was designed to remove all traces of makeup and give your skin a burst of freshness while hydrating and soothing your skin.  This cleansing water can be used on both the face and the eyes and is formulated with rose water.

Honestly, I have been using cleansing and micellar waters on my eye area now for over a year.  I know you shouldn’t but, I do and found that this particular one was quite gentle in that area.  My eyes didn’t burn or feel irritated which I liked.  Since this is a no-rinse formula, it was perfect to use for cleansing in the morning as well.  With ingredients like rose water, vitamin B3 and the Dragon’s Blood – this product is said to soothe sensitive and stressed skin while illuminating and brightening the skin and evening out the skin tone.   With some of my favorite ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin B3, I definitely am liking the results of this product.  This particular product is perfect on days when it’s hot and my skin feels parched and I love that I can use it day or night and all over my face without any sensitivities or issues.  It’s not a sticky liquid, but leaves my skin feeling hydrated so if I had to skip moisturizing for any reason, I know my skin will not be left overly dry after use.

Oh – did I mention how it removed my makeup?  My waterproof mascara or brow pencils come off without any issue and I like that my eyes don’t burn at all, of course, if I got the product directly into my eye area – that may be a different story.  This is a product I know I’ll for sure continue to buy and use – I could stock up on it because it truly is my favorite out of all the ones I wrote about in this post.  I have very sensitive eyes and to find a product that doesn’t burn them, at all – well, yes… I must stock pile that like it’s the zombie apocalypse and I need them all.

Rosa Damascena Flower Water, PEG-6 Caprylic/ Capric Glycerides, Niacinamide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, Geraniol, Citronellol.

Cautions: Avoid getting product directly in the eyes. If direct contact occurs rinse well with water.

Of course, each person’s skin and skin care routine differ and what may work for you – may not necessarily work for me and vice versa.  Ultimately, I enjoyed most of the products I tried that I discussed in this post.  I have used several products from Rodial over the last year and have enjoyed “most” of them.  I do think some of the products can be a bit overpriced, but considering the brand name, you often pay for the brand name and reputation.  Many of the ingredients in these products are really nice for the skin.  I’ve been using these products now for about a month and I haven’t noticed any sensitivities (I do have sensitive skin) and I can’t say that I’ve experienced any weird breakouts.  If I had to suggest at least one product from the five I talked about here today, I definitely think trying the Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water would be a good one to start with.

So – while this post was a bit “long winded” I wanted to make sure to be able to provide you with as much information that I could so you could decide if this brand or these products would work for you.  As I mentioned before, I do have other products that I’ve shared on social media but didn’t quite write about here, and I plan to over the next few weeks (so stay tuned).  You can purchase these products at: http://www.rodial.co.uk/us/ – I love that they are available in the US now.

What about you?  Have you tried any products from Rodial or any of them that I’ve discussed in this post?  Are there any products that you tried that I must get my hands on?  Let me know in the comments below.

Hello party people.  It seems like I’ve been a little MIA this week, but I promise I have good reason as to why.  You see, all three of my boys are on Spring Break, so that basically means mommy is on break too so we’ve been busy spring cleaning the house, donating and having lots of fun.  So, I’ve taken a little break from the blog a few days this week to play and have some fun with my family.  Nonetheless though, I wanted to share with you some products I’ve been loving from Jordana Cosmetics.  The Contour N’ Highlight Sticks are new to me, having just come across them about 2 weeks ago at my local drugstore, but the Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lipsticks are a formula I know about and I was so excited to get my hands on some shades that are wearable.  (You can read about my review on these from last year, here)

Let’s talk about the Contour N’ Highlight Sticks.  These retail for $4.99 each and you can select from the Jordana Sculpt N’ Go Creamy Contour Stick which offers three different contour shades (Light, Medium and Deep) and come in an easy to use stick form.  The Contour sticks help you add shape and definition to your features in 30 seconds or less.  What makes these so fun is that they are mistake-proof, blendable and matte with a buildable formula for soft to glam looks.  I have it in the color Deep, which is actually darker than I had thought but it blends out so well, the darker color works for my skin tone.

I use the Contour stick and apply below my cheekbones, jawline, hairline and sides of my nose.  While the tip of this stick is pointed for great precision, after lots of use I’m sure it will take away the point but applying the product is still easy.  I have been loving how easy this product is to blend out and the way it feels on my skin is wonderful.  It has a kind of cream to powder texture.  After applying, I blend it out to a powder like finish so it doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on the skin and I don’t notice that it oxidizes or looks too heavy.  I love how light weight it feels and I’m very amazed at how much I’m enjoying this stick.  It’s perfect for daily use for light contouring or for a full blown glammed up look.

The Jordana Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick also comes in three shades – Pearl Glow, Champagne, and Gold.  I have Champagne (Radiant Glow) and have really been loving this product as much as the contour stick.  This product is the perfect creamy and blendable highlighter stick that melts flawlessly onto the skin for a mistake proof application.  You can use this product to create the perfect strobe or for a light and subtle highlight for everyday use.  Like the Contour Stick, the Creamy Strobing Stick is also creamy and blends out to a powder like finish.

This product can be applied above the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, center of the forehead and below and above lips to add glow where desired.  It’s also easily blended with your fingers.  It doesn’t feel heavy or too creamy and I haven’t noticed any creasing.  It’s perfect to use on it’s own or set with a powder highlight.

Each product offers a Net Wt. of 0.23 oz / 6.5 g so for the price point you get a lot of product to use and it’s easy to repurchase when it’s used up.

Jordana is one of my favorite drugstore cosmetic brands and I thought these would be something fun to use, but I didn’t realize I would like it as much as I did.  I’m really impressed – especially because of the price point and how well they performed considering its cost.

Now let’s talk about the Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Colors.  These retail for $4.99 and as I mentioned previously, I actually have a review on my blog with a few of the shades.  The bright pink, coral and purple shade I got last year are definitely not my daily wearers so I had been on a hunt now for a while in hopes of finding more neutral tones at my local stores to add to my collection.

I found four gorgeous shades that are wearable every day tones in nude pinks and browns that I just love.  So, while I did provide a review for you on these lippies initially last year, today I’m sharing swatches of these colors.  If you are looking for wearable shades that are comfortable on the lips – I definitely suggest picking these babies up.

I picked up the following colors:  Rose Macaron, Creme Brulee, Tiramisu and Cinnamon Toast.  Cinnamon Toast a new color added to the line not too long ago, but the other three were a part of the collection, though I just couldn’t get my hands on them.  I had been on the hunt for Creme Brulee for months now and I’m so glad I found it at Walgreens a few weeks ago.

I love these shades because they are not only wearable but these matte lipsticks are one of my most comfortable to wear.  They are creamy when applied and while they dry down to a matte finish, I find that my lips do not feel overly dry.  They are creamy and feel almost whipped like when applying to the lips and I just love their longevity.  Jordana has a variety of colors from bold and red to nudes and pinks so you really get a lot of lip colors to choose from.  They also have the same type of doe foot applicator that the others I reviewed have and I enjoy them.

These colors stay on for hours – they claim it’s a 16 Hour Wear time and I can get at least 10 hours without any budging.  They are infused with Vitamin A, made in the USA and are water resistant.  What I love is that you get 12 gorgeous shades for any and all skin tones.

The video below is my original review of the Jordana Sweet Creme Matte Liquid Lipsticks, but I thought I would include it anyway.  My thoughts haven’t changed at all with these lippies.

Honestly, I’m always impressed with Jordana products.  There’s a reason why most of their products are a part of my collection – I enjoy them and like them.  If you are someone like me that loves a no-fuss kind of makeup look, you’ll surely love how easy these products are to use.  I definitely suggest checking them out if you haven’t already and see how they fit in your every day makeup routine.

You can purchase these products at: https://www.jordanacosmetics.com or at select drugstores that sell these products.  I got mine at Walgreens.

So – what about you, have you tried any of these before?  I’d love to hear your thoughts on them if you have or if not, do you think you’d get any use out of these beauties?

It’s that time of year when I start to pick up a few key items when it comes to makeup.  The last few years I haven’t done much makeup shopping – to be honest, I’ve been doing really well with my spending.  But, I tend to pick up a few items to try towards the first few months of a new year.  About 3 weeks ago I found myself browsing through the aisles at my local Walmart – mainly because I was getting my oil changed and had nothing to do for an hour.  I know, I know – bad idea.  But, I found that it was actually a good time to check out the new cosmetic finds.  Within the last couple of months, Wet n Wild released their Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balms and I had seen a bunch in stock at Walmart at about $2.99 a pop so I decided, hey – I want to try these and I picked them up.  Today I’m going to be sharing with you my thoughts on the Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balms and we’ll see if they were a hit for me.

Wet n Wild, wetnwild beauty, beauty, lip balm, lips, lipstick, tinted lip balm, wet n wild perfect pout gel lip balm, lip balm swatches, swatches, product review, beauty review,

Wet n Wild claims that this is their 1st Gel lip balm that provides a natural looking, sheer gloss that glides on smoothly while delivering lasting moisture and a sheer, glossy color.  I picked up a total of five shades, mainly because I really want to see the different range of colors and how they would work with my skin tone.  In all honesty, I didn’t think these would pack much of a color.

These Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balms come in 7 different shades.  Wet n Wild says that these are more glamorous than your regular lip balm, yet more natural looking than lipstick with it’s breakthrough color and gel formula.

“Your pout gets wrapped in luxury and kissed with a soft, barely there shade of glossy gorgeousness.  You will never want to be without it.”

Now, for years I have been a fan of the Maybelline Baby Lips.  This particular lip balm is ideal for me to take on the go and toss in my purse while offering my lips a smooth balm that is perfect for every day use.  I had wondered if these Perfect Pout Lip Balms from Wet n Wild were similar.  After applying the first color on my lips (while in the waiting area of Walmart because my lips didn’t have any balm and were feeling dry), I was immediately impressed with how easily this balm glided on.  I didn’t have a mirror to look at the color so I had no idea what it looked like on.  I went to the car when my oil change was complete and realized that I had a really pretty soft pink hue to my lips.  I was impressed.  Having used Maybelline Baby Lips for years and knowing that while they offered a tint of color – because my lips are darker than most, I don’t see the hue very often.  I was very impressed with the color payoff of the Wet n Wild.

So, let’s get down to business… how are these lip balms?  First, if I had to compare them to Maybelline Baby Lips, honestly – I don’t think I’d buy a Baby Lips again.  I love the pigmentation on these lippies, they have nice color and perfect for my style.  The fact that the tinted ones show up on my dark toned lips are a big deal for me.  They allow me to put them on and run out the door looking put together.  They glide on a lot easier than Baby Lips as well.  There are times when some of my Baby Lips balms slightly tug on my lips when applying.  I’m thinking that the gel formula may have some to do with the slip.  If you are looking for a lip product with slip and that glides on – you’ll enjoy this one.

On my lips – Love

The Perfect Pout Balms feel good on the lips but you certainly have to reapply after eating and drinking.  They are not really long lasting and longevity is basic – nothing to write home to mom about.  But, I feel for the cost and the basic need of these, they work.

With regard to moisturizing the lips – they definitely moisturize my lips and I haven’t noticed any drying or odd feeling after using all day.  I have been enjoying these for every day use because I have a few colors to choose from and they are perfect for days I have no makeup or only mascara.

These lip balms feel very comfortable on the lips – lots of slip for someone like me who loves to pucker their lips often.  The color does transfer onto anything your lips touch – including my husband’s lips but it still looks fairly natural so he wasn’t too bothered by it.  These are very glossy on – so it looks like you have something on your lips for sure.  I love how smooth it is and how smooth it leaves my lips.  Formulated with Vitamin E, Avocado Oil and a proprietary Phytosterol complex – my lips are left feeling quite nice.

There is a huge con for these lippies however.  Do NOT leave these in the car, especially if it is a hot day.  I’m thinking due to the gel-like formula, they melt easier.  I left mine in my purse and ran into the store to grab a bottle of water.  I was only gone about 5 minutes and when I came back to the car – it was so soft it basically mushed some what.  It wasn’t even a hot day – so I was disappointed to find how soft the product was after the short time.  This is the type of balm you definitely don’t want to leave in your pocket because your body heat can melt or soften the product easily.

These lip balms are very lightly scented in my opinion – I could smell a hint of what I thought was a fruit like fragrance, but couldn’t quite figure it out and I didn’t find that they had any flavor – maybe it was just me.  Overall – at the price point, (they are cheaper here in Hawaii than Maybelline Baby Lips) I think I may replace these in the future when I run out of them.

You can purchase these products where ever Wet n Wild products are sold – I have been seeing them at Walmart, Walgreens, Target and CVS here.  They are also available online at Wetnwildbeauty.com

So what about you?  Have you heard or tried these lip balms from Wet n Wild?  Do you think these are worth checking out.  If you do, definitely let me know in the comments below your thoughts.

Have a great day.

With news articles and stories all over the internet, I’m sure you’ve heard the words:  “Sea Buckthorn berry” before, I know I have and over the last few months, it’s become quite popular.  Dr. Oz calls it the “Miracle Berry” and others rave about how it’s a power-packed super fruit that should be on everyone’s radar.  So – what is this berry and why is it becoming so popular?  Today, I’m going to share with you some sea buckthorn products from SeabuckWonders and hopefully I can share with you a little more on this product so you are armed with some information.

The sea buckthorn berry has over 190 phytonutrients and fatty acids (ALL the omegas: 3, 6, 9 and the rae Omega-7) that help to protect against many diseases (including breast cancer), but it also provides soothing relief to many.  Many breast cancer patients use sea buckthorn products to reduce the negative effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments and there are a variety of different uses for this berry in general.  For those that are looking for an improvement in your skin – sea buckthorn if filled with antioxidants, vitamins A, E and beta-carotene.  With a treasure chest of nutrients, sea buckthorn has been a secret beauty aid in Eastern Asia for over a 1000 years to provide the lasting and necessary benefits for ever-lasting beauty.

Seabuck thorn berry oil is not only high in Omega-7 which helps to moisturize the cell membranes, but the anti-inflammatory properties can have a hugely positive effect on blood levels.  I was especially intrigued by this particular miracle berry because of the recent health issues I’ve been experiencing and sea buckthorn berry is known to help maintain healthy blood pressure levels while reducing  inflammation, dry-eye symptoms, vaginal dryness and dry skin conditions.  It can also assist in hydrating the digestive tract and internal organs and I love that it’s great for the skin and nails – which for me take a beating during the colder months.

So – now that I’ve given you a little information on this miracle berry – I’m going to share with you a brand and their products that I’ve been using over the course of the last few months.  I’m excited to share these with you because I love products that are affordable and easy to attain.

SeabuckWonders is the first company that brought Sea Buckthorn products to the United States.  The sea buckthorn berries that they harvest are exclusively harvested from the prestine Tibetan region where high altitude and harsh environment have equipped the sea buckthorn with extraordinary biodefense mechanisms with numerous life-giving nutrients such as the rare Omega-7.  The SeabuckWonders 100% pure Sea Buckthorn oil contains up to 30-35% Omega-7, the highest concentration known in the natural world, that provides the best results possible.  All of SeabuckWonders products are made of 100% Pure, USDA Certified Organice Sea Buckthorn Oil, are Kosher Certified and are also Non-GMO Project Verfied and Gluten Free.

I tried four products from the line and have my eyes set on a few others that are on my wishlist to pick up.  The first I’m going to talk to you about is the Ultimate Hair, Skin and Nails Supplement ($34.97 – 60 vegan softgels / 500 mg each).  This supplement helps you to go below the hair, skin and nails to the root of any problems.  By combining biotin with the cell membrane nurturing properties of sea buckthorn oil, the blend offers the best support for strength and beauty.  As I mentioned previously, winter takes a toll on my body (especially my hair, skin and nails) and I make it a point to take a daily supplement to help with this.  The SeabuckWonders Ultimate Hair, Skin & Nails supplement (with Omega-7 and Biotin) have helped to keep my hair stronger than usual while keeping my scalp moisturized so I don’t experience dry, itchy or flakiness.  I noticed after about 2 weeks of taking this supplement that my nails grew faster (my nails naturally are long and grow, but they are at their strongest during the summer months and tend to be brittle during winter).  They not only were growing faster but also stronger without treatment of my cuticles.  My skin is not as dry as it usually is during the winter which to me is probably the biggest plus to see.  Normally – my skin is so dry I am lathering layers of moisturizer to combat my Eczema.  This is the first winter in a long time since I’ve experienced an Eczema flare up thanks to my skin being so hydrated.

The SeabuckWonders Himalayan Sea Buckthorn Exfoliating Facial Cleanser ($16.97 – 4 fl.oz / 120 mL) has also been a welcoming part of my skin care routine.  During the winter my skin is so dry that I often layer on different types of moisturizing products but it can also cause my skin to look and feel dull while also causing me to breakout.  This exfoliating facial cleanser has been awesome to use the last several months because it not only deep cleans my skin but boosts my skin’s vibrancy.  It’s gentle and doesn’t strip my skin of it’s natural oils (which I definitely need) but still exfoliates my skin, leaving it smooth and clearing up my complexion.  This is a facial cleanser that is ideal for all skin types because of it’s nutritional properties and leaves my skin feeling clean, balanced and just awesome.

The SeabuckWonders Himalayan Sea Buckthorn Facial Cream ($19.97 – 1 fl.oz. / 30mL) has also been a great addition to my skin care regimen.  This product includes all the great ingredients that the others do like the Omegas (including Omega-7) and packs a lot of moisture for my dry skin while still keeping my skin in balance.  Absolutely lightweight and applies like a breeze, my skin drinks this facial cream up and stays moisturized and rejuvenated all day long.  This facial cream helps to minimize my fine lines while smoothing and softening my complexion.  I also enjoy the added benefit of it protecting my skin from the damaging effects of the sun and environmental pollutants.

SeabuckWonders Himalayan Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion ($14.97 – 6 fl.oz. / 180 mL) was also a hit for me.  It was awarded the Delicious Living Beauty & Body Award in 2013 and I can definitely see why.  Filled with a potent infusion of Omega 3, 6, 9 and the powerful skin-healing Omega 7, SeabuckWonders Body Lotion provides nourishment with age-defying properties for soft and healthy skin.  I think this product will easily be a favorite of mine for years to come, especially during the winter.  It’s intensely moisturizing without feeling oily/greasy or sticky.  When applied to the skin, it soaks right in while leaving my skin and body feeling touchable soft.  With a high concentration of sea buckthorn oil, this lotion allows for superior moisture retention while protecting the skin from various signs of aging and effects of exposure to the sun.  My knees, elbows and feel LOVE this lotion and I love the light orange scent.  It’s amazing!

I have my eyes set on a few other products to try from SeabuckWonders, especially the supplements.   As I mentioned previously, I have been dealing with a plethora of health ailments, so adding some new supplements to my regiment will surely help.  I’m beyond impressed with the products I’ve tried so far and I am definitely interested in picking up and ordering more that SeabuckWonders offers.

Like I mentioned previously, each product is reasonably priced – in fact, it’s quite affordable when you think of the benefits.  SeabuckWonders products were the first I’ve tried with Sea Buckthorn Oil and my experiencing has definitely been a positive one.  I know this was a lengthy review/feature, but I wanted to make sure you had as much information as possible to be able to make a decision on whether or not you wanted to try these.  As I say with anything I talk about here, my experience with one product may be different from those that you may have.  It’s important to make an informed decision before trying anything obviously, but I love sharing products I’ve been enjoying.
