It is not often that I purchase a palette and find almost immediately that I am a huge fan, but the Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna Dress Your Face Palette has been one of those palettes that I immediately crushed on.  I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t really intrigued by it when I first seen it released.  I thought to myself… eh, I’ll skip this one, but decided to cash in on a discount I had and it was a great investment.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna Palette

SELF PURCHASED / AFFILIATE LINKS

Anastasia Beverly Hills does it again with a collaboration with Makeup Artist Tamanna Roashan, also known as Dress Your Face on social media. This collection of shadows includes Tamanna’s “must have” shades to achieve her most requested looks that can easily be paired with any skin tone.  A combination of warm and cool tones combined to create anything from smoky eyes to intricate cut creases and everything in between can be accomplished using this palette.

At $29.00 this palette is a HUGE steal – including ten show stopping shades.  This is my third eye shadow palette produced by Anastasia Beverly Hills and quite honestly my favorite.  Be sure to click and watch the video embedded below for a live review and my thoughts on this palette or click here to watch directly on YouTube.

Already a show stopper, this gorgeous palette with a cover design that makes you intrigued, includes highly pigmented shadows from stunning neutrals to shimmering jewel tones that are really easy to blend and definitely fun to work with.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna Palette

If you are someone who loves neutral shades but are looking for a palette that may offer you a little pop of color, I think this would be a great find for you.  It is a rare thing for me to find a small palette that offers a matte browbone highlight shade, a deep matte black and then a good transition shade and this palette offers Fresh which is a matte browbone shade I like to use, Bengal which I use as the perfect transition and then Noir or Chocolate which will help to deepen the outer V or crease.  The rest of the shades are bonuses.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna Palette
Left to Right – Fresh, Blush, Venezia, Gilded, Custom
Left to Right - Sangria, Bengal, Chocolate, China Rose, Noir
Left to Right – Sangria, Bengal, Chocolate, China Rose, Noir

In my swatches Sangria shows up a lot less pigmented then it really is so I’ve included makeup looks with the colors in this palette so you can see how they look on the eyes.  Below I am using Sangria all over the lid and while it is used over a base, the color is very vibrant naturally in comparison to the swatch which became washed out due to lighting.  Sorry about that.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna Palette
Sangria on my lid, Noir on the Outer V, Bengal as transition shade, Chocolate in the crease, Fresh as browbone highlight and Venezia as inner corner highlight.

Fall Berry Smokey Eye

I also used the Tamanna palette to recreate this look (above) and again, as you can see, the color is quite bold when taken in proper lighting.  Tutorial for this look can be found here.

Considering there are a plethora of palettes on the market today all ranging in prices and some quite on the high end price spectrum, I definitely suggest this palette for anyone looking to add a new makeup palette to your list.  With the holidays so quickly approaching, this would be a great gift for any makeup lover on your Christmas list and of course – a great palette for you too.

This is still available at Anastasiabeverlyhills.com and Ulta.com.  Get up to 6% cash back if you sign up with Ebates right now (click here) and purchase on Ulta.com.

Do you own this palette?  If not, is this something you have on your holiday wish list?

I always enjoy learning about new products coming out in the beauty industry or testing out brands I have never heard of before, so I was quite ecstatic to have the opportunity to test drive some goodies from Mia Mariu Cosmetics.  A collection of mineral cosmetics in wearable, glamorous shades – Mia Mariu offers a wide range of cosmetic products for the woman who wants a look of hot damn gorgeous.

Mia Mariu Cosmetics

Mia Mariu’s mineral colors contain Vitamin A, C and E which provide a natural protection from the environment.  The products are Oil, Talk, Paraben and Fragrance free, which is awesome for all skin types – but most importantly, those with sensitive skin like I have.
Mia Mariu CosmeticsLet’s start off with packaging.  I am all about a signature color and I love that Mia Mariu has black/red packaging on all of their products.  The colors look chic together and I love the uniformity.  Overall, I like how easy the packaging was to use (especially the eye shadow duo), and I love that it has that sleek look.

Mia Mariu CosmeticsThe Mineral Shadow Duos are made with pure minerals and luxurious color pigments.  Each shadow felt very creamy when I swatched it and applied so nicely on my eye lids.  I absolutely loved how nice it felt when blended onto the lid.  Over primer I received nice wear, about 7 hours before I started to notice fading and I love that with a good primer, I didn’t experience any creasing.  This eye shadow duo in Valle Dorado is a great combo for those that love every day wearable and neutral shades.  Retailing for $19.00 – you receive a total of 2.8 grams worth of product and soft silky shadows for a show stopping look.  Since I have darker skin, I did notice that I needed to build on the colors – but overall, I love that this is easy to travel with and the shades are definitely those I can use daily if I wanted to.

Mia Mariu CosmeticsI am not a huge fan of loose mineral shadows, powders or bronzers because they can be a mess – but I do use them from time to time.  I was quite impressed with the Mineral Bronzer from Mia Mariu.  It had a gorgeous velvet texture that felt wonderful on the skin.  While it felt luxurious on my skin, the shade was a tad too light for me to use as a bronzer to give my cheek bones or face any sort of contour, but it didn’t matter because this product worked as a wonderful cheek highlight offering my skin a gorgeous and radiant glow.  This product is silky and feels great on the skin, I have tried to apply it all over but due to the shimmer, I think it was too much for an all over application on me.  Used on the eye as a sweep of color on the lid or graced across your cheeks for a sweet glow, this product is definitely becoming a favorite.  Retailing for $17.00 which includes 2.4 grams of loose product, you get a pretty good amount for your money’s worth as well as something that can be used universally.  I have been using this product the most out of all the others I received and I know I’ll get great use out of it.
Mia Mariu Cosmetics

The Hydrating Stick Gloss combines color and a hydrating gloss in a stick form.  This product reminds me of a lip butter, very creamy and buttery and it felt like my lips were hydrated and moisturized while using this product.  The color is sheer at first swipe but can easily be built up.  Seduccion is a brick red with a hint of berry and has light shimmer reflects through out.  Retailing for $15.00 this tube includes 4.0 grams of product.  This gloss is part balm in my opinion as my lips feel really soft and moisturized most of the day while wearing it.  Like any gloss, this does not have a long wear time but still offers a great punch of color with a gloss sheen.

Mia Mariu Cosmetics

Mia Mariu’s Volumizing mascara retails for $13.00 and claims to extend and separate the thinnest, shortest and hard to reach lashes by lengthening each lash while delivering the right amount of mascara without clumping.  The formula contains rich dark pigments to enhance the lash color for maximum drama – is clump free, fiber free and suitable for contact lens wearers.  This mascara is enriched with Vitamin B5.  Many know I have the smallest most tiniest lashes EVER.  I love the wand on this mascara but unfortunately – the formula was just too wet for my itty bitty lashes.  I didn’t notice any length or volume using this mascara and after using the mascara with 2 to 3 coats, I still did not see my lashes very much.  However – I do like that my lashes felt soft even with the product coated on them and even after applying 3 coats, I did not experience any clumping.  While this did not give my lashes the exaggeration I would have liked to see – I like that it did not make my eyes irritated.

Mia Mariu Cosmetics

The Intense Black Eye Liner Pencil retails for $11.00.  This is a sharpen type pencil that offers a stiff type pencil tip.  The claim on this product is that it offers a smoothly textured pencil for precise definition and easy, smooth application.  The pencil should apply evenly without pulling on the delicate eye area and should produce a clean precise line without smudging.  I am used to very gel like / soft textured pencils so this pencil took a little bit of finesse for me.  While it did have a bold pigment of black to it and applied fairly easily, it still took me several swipes to build the color I would like and I’m used to a softer tip pencil which this is not.  Application was okay – but not ideal or what I had been used to.  This liner does smudge, but I think it is perfect when creating a soft smoky effect.  While it did smudge, the liner stayed on my eyes for a full day without becoming a full blown mess.

Mia Mariu Cosmetics

In the photos above you can see a before and after of me using the Mia Mariu cosmetics I have tried and tested.  On my eyes I am using the Valley Dorado Mineral Eye Shadow Duo – the lighter shade on my lid and the darker shade blended into my crease and near my highlight. I also blended the lighter shade as my highlight on my brow bone.  I applied the Intense Eye liner pencil on my eye lid as a simple liner and smudged it on my lower lash line.  On my cheeks I am using the Mineral Bronzer in Copa Cabana on the high parts of my cheeks and blended as a highlight.  On my lips I’m using the Hydrating Gloss Stick in Seduccion.

Overall I’m quite impressed with this cosmetic line.  I love that they have pressed mineral shadows because I really dislike dealing with loose shadows and this made it easy to apply and even easier to use on the go.  I would love to see Mia Mariu come out with a matte or satin lipstick and darker tones for their bronzer.  Have you heard of Mia Mariu Cosmetics before?  Have you tried anything from this brand?  What are your thoughts on Mineral Cosmetics?

I’ll be honest… now that I’m a mommy and a mommy of boys for that matter, I’m not much interested in boy bands.  But, hearing about those that are popular today reminds me of New Kids on the Block, NSYNC and Backstreet boys.  It amazes me at how much boy bands have grown over the year and how creative they have become.  Never did I think I would hear about a Makeup Collection from any of them, so it was cool to hear that the popular band One Direction was due to release a few Limited Edition Collections.  As of August 11th, they are now available at a few locations and this awesome little kit comes in three different collections for the One Direction fans at heart.

I got the Take Me Home Collection.  It’s a gorgeous collection filled with wearable and neutral toned shades with pops of color.  The collection includes:

Makeup by One Direction

One Direction Liquilights glow gloss in Kiss You.  This gloss is a sheer bright (almost neon) orange toned gloss with micro shimmer.  I wish I could provide a swatch for you to see but unfortunately the doe foot applicator was MIA when I opened the package, so I am unable to use it.  The color looks gorgeous though and it would be a great shade to rock out during the remainder of the summer months.

Makeup by One Direction

One Direction Nail Varnish in Live While We’re Young.  This is a gorgeous clear polish with different size and color hex shaped and circle glitters.  This would be a beautiful topper over your favorite nail polish.  Filled with rose gold, gold, green and blues – this will surely be a favorite of mine.

Makeup by One Direction

Nude Sheer Pink Lipstick in Last First Kiss.  This lipstick is a sheer medium toned pink.  Unfortunately mine came a bit melted in the tube and the tip of the lipstick arrived smashed, but overall the shade is sweet.

Makeup by One Direction

One Direction 4+1 Eye Shadow Palette.  This palette offers 4 neutral toned shades and one funky and fun gold glitter.  I am very impressed with the shadows, they are soft, buildable shades with nice pigmentation in one swipe.  The gold glitter is a cream/gel like consistency that offers you a sweet pop of color when you want to jazz up your look.

Makeup by One Direction

If you like neutral tones, I think this would be a great palette, whether you are a beginner at makeup or have been using makeup a while – I think you’ll enjoy the simplicity of this palette and the pigmentation.

Makeup by One Direction

Little Black Dress Volumizing Mascara in Perfectly Black is also included in the collection.  I think it’s great that this little tin includes so many fun goodies to create a look.  The brush of this mascara is basic but the mascara is truly black.  While I have small lashes and this did not work for me, I know that it will be a great beginner mascara for anyone.

Makeup by One Direction

I Wish is a warm chocolate brown crayon that can be used on the eyes or the body… though I do suggest that if you plan to use on your eyes – you reserve the product for eye use only since that is such a sensitive area.  The crayon is pigmented and glides on really nicely.  I love the color payoff and it can also be used as a base for your eye shadows.

Makeup by One Direction

This cool little collection also comes with some fun stencils that you can utilize with your brown crayon or shadows.  I especially enjoy using them with the cream glitter in the eye shadow palette.

Makeup by One Direction

A total of five sheets with little stencil designs make creating looks fun and exciting.  Simply apply to a part of your body like your face, arms, etc. and use like you would any other stencil.  It’s easy and the designs are super cute.

Makeup by One Direction

I used the gold glitter cream in my palette to create the little design using the diamond stencil.  I could have used some help in applying and creating my design but I know this will be a fun tool for anyone.

Makeup by One Direction

Overall – I think this little collection is definitely sweet and cute.  It comes with so many goodies and it would make a great addiction and gift for a One Direction fan.  I’m very impressed with the eyeshadow palette and the quality of the shadows.  I’m also super impressed with the variety of products included.  I’m also totally digging the collections tin – if I was a teen, I would probably turn this into my “fan girl” box where I stored cards, magazine clippings and more.  Oh my – do teens even do that still? Can you tell my age? lol

[wp-review]

Find out more about the availability by checking out the Makeup by One Direction’s Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/MakeupbyOneDirection.  When I do any makeup looks using some of the products that come in this cute little tin, I’ll be sure to post it here on my blog.

When I first got word to expect the Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadow Collection, I literally squealed both in excitement and joy.  You see, if you don’t already know – I’m a huge fan of Milani Cosmetics and have been enjoying their products now for several years… but I haven’t been completely awed by their eye shadows up until this point, so I was really excited to see what kind of awesome they had in store.

The new Milani Bella Eyes Shadow Collection includes 30 beautiful shades in a variety of colors.  These eye shadows retail for just $3.99 (major steal) for 0.05 oz/1.4g worth of product.  Made in the USA, these shadows are said to be a Gel-like powder that will provide a rich, vibrant color that applies effortlessly in one single stroke, delivering a stunning and multi-dimensional effect.  Now, in the video I stated that I am really not sure how they got the name “Gel Powder” but after doing some reading I found out that the formula used to create the shadow starts as a gel and then is transformed by a special process into a stunning powder with pure color and power wear.

Check out my review with swatches via YouTube here, or scroll down to see my video review embedded below.  Don’t forget to check out all the swatches and my thoughts on each.

Below are the photos of each shadow as well as their swatches and my thoughts on each.  Please note that the shades may be slightly different depending on your screen resolution and color set up.  I tried my best to get the colors as close as I seen them with my regular eyes so I photographed with the best lighting possible.  All swatches are done dry and without primer so you could see how they work on their own.  The names of each shadow and swatch are listed from Left to Right to compare to the photos.

BELLA IVORY ~ BELLA SAND ~ BELLA CAPPUCCINO

Bella Ivory, Bella Sand, Bella Cappuccino
Bella Ivory, Bella Sand, Bella Cappuccino

Bella Ivory is a Satin Matte shade and I have been using it as a browbone highlight shade as well as an all over the lid shade.  Considering this is a satin matte shade, it has great pigmentation and applying just one application will yield great color.

Bella Sand is a Shimmery shade that is perfect for all over the lid.  It is packed rich with color in one swipe and perfect for most if not all skin tones.

Bella Cappuccino is a Satin Matte shade and is a medium brown tone.  While I think this shade does have pretty good pigmentation, it can take a little to get it to the deepness in shade that you will want if you have darker skin like me.  This works as a great transition shade for me and I can also use it to fill in my brows.

BELLA CAFFE ~ BELLA TAUPE ~ BELLA ESPRESSO

Bella Caffe, Bella Taupe, Bella Espresso
Bella Caffe, Bella Taupe, Bella Espresso

Bella Caffe is a Satin Matte that is a great shade for me to use in my brows for light shading in the sparse areas of my brows.  This is also a great shade to use all over the lid or in the crease, even as  transition.  This color does take a little more effort to apply in some cases and I noticed I needed to build the color up a little more on it than on other shades, but it still offers pigmentation.

Bella Taupe is one of my favorite shades to deepen the crease.  It is a Satin Matte that has almost a purple tone when swatched but blended with other shades, it works really well.  This is a great color for a crease shade.

Bella Espresso is also a Satin Matte and is much lighter of a shade then I had expected when seeing it in the pot.  This is a great smoky eye shade or can be used all over the lid.

BELLA WHITE ~ BELLA SKY ~ BELLA NAVY

Bella White, Bella Sky, Bella Navy
Bella White, Bella Sky, Bella Navy

Bella White is a Satin Matte white shade.  While this is a matte shade, it really lends to be almost metallic without any shimmer. It’s a pure white that makes it very pretty for an inner corner highlight or all over the lid.

Bella Sky is a Shimmer shade and lends for a gorgeous baby blue almost silver.

Bella Navy is a Satin Matte shade but lends for an almost metallic finish.  It’s a deep navy blue.

BELLA GRAY ~ BELLA CHARCOAL ~ BELLA BLACK

Bella Gray, Bella Charcoal, Bella Black
Bella Gray, Bella Charcoal, Bella Black

Bella Gray is a Satin Matte shade that is perfect to deepen the outer v or crease or use all over the lid.  This color lends for a silver look which is perfect for smoky eye looks

Bella Charcoal is a deep silver Shimmer shade.  I absolutely love this color and this shade would look beautiful on most skin tones

Bella Black is a Satin matte shade that is rich in pigment.  I absolutely love this black to deepen the outer v or crease or to use as an eyeliner.  Used wet this shade is a great eye liner.

BELLA PINK ~ BELLA VIOLET ~ BELLA PURPLE

Bella Pink, Bella Violet, Bella Purple
Bella Pink, Bella Violet, Bella Purple

Bella Pink is a cool toned shimmery pink shade and lends for an almost white hue.  This shimmer shade is a perfect lid color.

Bella Violet is a violet (kind of lavender) shimmer shadow and is gorgeous when applied dry or wet.

Bella Purple is a beautiful Satin matte shade that applies beautifully both wet or dry but is a deeper richer shade if applied wet and a perfect transition shade or to deepen the crease if applied dry.

BELLA CHAMPAGNE ~ BELLA KHAKI ~ BELLA EMERALD

Bella Champagne, Bella Khaki, Bella Emerald
Bella Champagne, Bella Khaki, Bella Emerald

Bella Champagne is a beautiful pink toned champagne like shade with a shimmer finish.

Bella Khaki is a gold khaki type green – kind of an olive green (one of my favorite colors in the whole collection) that has a soft gold shift.  This is a shimmer shade and applies great wet or dry.

Bella Emerald is a deep green (definitely a great emerald) with a shimmer finish.  There is a gold shift to this shadow and it applies beautifully both wet or dry.

BELLA ROUGE ~ BELLA SILVER ~ BELLA TEAL

Bella Rouge, Bella Silver, Bella Teal
Bella Rouge, Bella Silver, Bella Teal

Bella Rouge is a beautiful metallic pink red shade.

Bella Silver is metallic silver that looks a little deeper in shade in the pot then it does swatched.  Nonetheless, it’s a gorgeous color.

Bella Teal is probably one of my favorites (as many know – Purple is my favorite color and teal a close second).  This is a Metallic shadow and while it’s not pictured above, it has a soft gold/green shift that is just beautiful.  This shade applies perfectly both wet or dry and even better over a teal or black base.

BELLA GOLD ~ BELLA COPPER ~ BELLA BRONZE

Bella Gold, Bella Copper, Bella Bronze
Bella Gold, Bella Copper, Bella Bronze

Bella Gold is a gorgeous metallic shadow.  This is a warm yellow toned yellow with a light copper/bronze shift, that may not be a favorite of those who like softer gold shades but this works great on the lid or all over in any creation you can think of.  I love that it can be worn both wet and dry.

Bella Copper is a true copper metallic shade.

Bella Bronze is a true bronze brown shade.  It is warm toned and will go nicely as an all over shade or worked into the crease or outer v.  Rich and highly pigmented, one of my favorites in the bunch.

BELLA COBALT ~ BELLA FUCHSIA ~ BELLA MANDARIN

Bella Cobalt, Bella Fuchsia, Bella Mandarin
Bella Cobalt, Bella Fuchsia, Bella Mandarin

Bella Cobalt is a medium toned blue with a satin matte finish.  It looks almost metallic in the pot but has a satin feel.  This blue is gorgeous wet or dry.

Bella Fuchsia is a Satin matte fuchsia pink.  While it’s a gorgeous shade, the pigment is just not as bright as others in the collection and when swatched or applied to the eyes, you have to really build up the color to get the intensity in the pot.  It will work as a great transition shade and will apply much more of a bold shade if over a base like a white, pink or black.

Bella Mandarin is a satin matte medium toned orange.  This is the only orange in the entire collection – I had hoped for a metallic one.  I have been using this as a transition shade and it works well on the lid but I do suggest applying over a white base.  When used wet this shade can be patchy.

BELLA CHIFFON ~ BELLA ROSE ~ BELLA DIAMOND

Bella Chiffon, Bella Rose, Bella Diamond
Bella Chiffon, Bella Rose, Bella Diamond

Bella Chiffon is probably one of my favorite shades in the whole collection.  It is a cream/ivory shade with a gold shift.  I love to use this shimmer shade in the inner corner of my eyes to help brighten and highlight my eyes.  This shade is my favorite because of the color as well as the shift of gold.  It makes it perfect for summer.

Bella Rose is a light pink shimmery shade with a soft silver hue.  It certain light it looks almost silver and would also be a perfect highlight shade or used on the lid.  This shade looks great wet or dry.

Bella Diamond is a shimmery white with a light metallic silver hue.  This is a great all over the lid shade or used as a highlight. It’s gorgeous.

Like I mentioned in my video, when you first feel the shadows, they do not offer a gel like feel – they feel like a powder shadow.  But, I noticed that I had little to no fall out from these shadows as I would normally experience from other powder shadows.  Unless they were overly shimmery, they applied really nicely and made clean up really easy after my makeup application was done.

As I mentioned in the swatches above, there are a few shadows that took a little effort when applying or using them and most of those shadows included those that are matte/satin shades.  While that can be a problem, I don’t think it was an actual con in my opinion.  Honestly, those shades made such great transition shades for my eye looks because of their soft texture, that even if I want to build up the color a bit, I’m still very impressed.  If you have tried Milani’s original single pot shadows or their baked shadows and were not completely wowed by any of them… I think these will offer redemption quite easily because I’m super impressed.  Honestly, it’s been difficult switching these out and using other cosmetics in my collection… I really enjoy them.

Summer Makeup - Bronzed Beauty

In the makeup look above I am  using Bella Mandarin as my transition shade, Bella Bronze as my crease shade, Bella Gold as my lid shade, Bella Taupe blended and placed into my outer v to deepen my crease, Bella Ivory as my brow bone highlight shade and Bella Chiffon as my inner corner highlight shade.  A tutorial for the makeup look can be found here.  As you can see from the look – the colors are pigmented and can be used for an every day or sultry look.

If I could make a few suggestions it would be to add a rich Metallic or satin matte Red shade to the collection (or both) as well as a metallic orange.  I would also love to see a softer gold shade that is similar to that of Urban Decay’s Half Baked.  While the packaging is still a bit bulky and I don’t believe these can be depotted, I love that they top of the pot is flat, allowing for stacking the shadows, which was unable to be done effectively with the single baked shadows.

Pigmentation is wonderful.  Again – while a few shades were not as perfect as others, I still know I’ll be using them and I love that some of the cool toned browns give me the option to use them to fill in my brows.  The feel of these shadows are unlike those I use often.  They have a buttery like texture, minus the fall out and dust you get from a buttery shadow.  Application on the eyes is smooth and over all I’m pretty impressed.  These Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadows are definitely a great value for the price and overall, I think they are pretty awesome.  Great job Milani – I’m really loving these.

It’s no secret that Milani is one of my all-time favorite drug store brands and has been for a couple of years now.  I have had the opportunity to try out quite a bit from the line they offer and for the most part – I’m always impressed with what they roll out.  I literally fell out of my seat a few weeks ago when I got word that Milani was rolling out Limited Edition Matte Baked Bronzers and I couldn’t have been more excited.

Milani Limited Edition Matte Baked Bronzers

If you have ever tried or used or even seen (for that matter) one of Milani’s Baked Bronzers, then you will know that you get a lot of product for a really affordable price tag.  I have a plethora of Milani products, especially their blushes and I have been waiting patiently and asking the Makeup Gods for the day that Milani would finally come out with a baked bronzer that was matte.  Thankfully, they did.  However – these are limited edition so you want to make sure you get your hands on them… STAT.

These two new limited edition matte bronzers are available in the shades 08 Sunset (medium tan) and  07 Sienna (light golden tan).   They retail on Milani’s website for $8.99 which is the same cost as Milani’s original bronzers like 04 Glow, 05 Soleil and 06 Golden.  As I mentioned, the big difference between these new LE bronzers is that they are completely matte.

Milani Limited Edition Matte Baked Bronzers

08 – Sunset (light golden tan) is on the left and 07 – Sienna (medium tan) is on the right

Each bronzer comes with a little bronzer brush (not my favorite to use but definitely awesome in a pinch) and a mirror that is placed in the compact below the bronzer.  The come in Milani’s signature gold packaging which gives it such a gorgeous look.   Milani definitely ranks high for me when it comes to packaging, because I always feel like I’m buying a luxury brand from the drug store.  You get a lot of product in each bronzer – Net Wt. 0.25 oz/7g and because it is a baked bronzer, you can use it dry for a sheer matte finish or wet for a more intense or dramatic look.  These bronzers are multi-purpose beauty products as they can be used for both your eyes, face and body (hello – total bonus).  They are streak free, apply easily and blend well for an effortless bronze.  Since I have both shades – I like to do a contour with Sienna (the darker shade) to define my face and then for an all over summer bronzed look, I use Sunset (the lighter brown) and apply as an all over bronzer.

Milani Matte Baked Bronzer Sienna

07 – Sienna is a warm golden bronze and is perfect for those with Medium and golden skin tones.  If you have a darker skin tone, I definitely suggest using this wet and build the color up to the shade you think will work best for you.  If you have a warmer skin tone – this bronzer will be perfect for you.  Since it is matte and baked, you can build up to the shade that you like and those who are not fond of shimmer bronzers, these are perfect.

Milani Matte Baked Bronzer Sunset

08 Sunset is a medium tan bronzer and lends for a cool toned brown.  It is perfect for those that are light to medium in skin tone and those like me who want to warm up my face without contouring, but looking for an all over bronze.  Just like with Sienna, Sunset is buildable and if you need a deeper more intense color for contour, you can definitely use it wet and build upon that color.

Milani Matte Baked Bronzer Swatches

The swatches above were done dry on my bare skin and I only used one swipe.  Considering I’m fairly darker in skin tone, both shades do show up on me and Sienna is the perfect bronze for me to contour for extra depth and dimension.  I love to use Sunset as an all over bronze if I’m looking to achieve a warmer look.  Each shade lasts all day with minor fading after 5 hours… but the wear on these bronzers are long lasting.  I love that they apply effortlessly and last, but most importantly my skin enjoys them – no break outs at all and it didn’t oxidize or start to look muddy on me after a few hours.  If you are planning to use these bronzers for a long period of time, I think they will surely work well for that purpose.

Milani Matte Baked Bronzer Try On

In the look above (tutorial for that look can be found here), I am using Sienna to contour in the hallows of my cheeks to define my cheek bones and along my nose, hairline and jawline.  I have always had a few favorite bronzers to contour and warm up my face, but after using these the last couple of weeks, I have to admit that I have neglected my other favorites.  I love these bronzers!  Their price point is great and the products are awesome.

If you want to get your hands on  one of these bronzers, check out their awesome 30% off sale for Memorial Day.  I have a long list of suggestions, but if you are looking for swatches on the new Milani Matte Baked Blushes, you can check out my review and swatches for those here.  Happy  Shopping.
